I had an appointment scheduled to get an estimate done today between 3-3:30 pm. No one showed up at the scheduled time so I texted Andy, who was the contact. The response I received back was that the visit was cancelled because all the techs were busy finishing other projects. No one from the company called me to inform me of the cancellation. After a bathroom renovation, full kitchen renovation, sale of my house and purchase of a new home, I have been working with tons of contractors and handy men over the last couple of years. There are so many out there, but you always want to get the best quality work at a fair price. We hired Ivan for a couple of jobs around the house. He was friendly and very, very polite. He was very honest, detailed and did a thorough job in explaining everything that he was doing. He gave us various options to make sure that it works for my family, giving us the pros and cons of each. He was completely willing to do whatever you wanted him to do, but if it's something simple, that could save us money, he explained how we could do it. Some handy men just want to get the job done. Ivan really care about how it looks. He took the initiative, without us asking to paint some areas where we had done some of our own work. We were going to ask while he was up on the roof to take care of the little patch that needed to be painted, but it was already done. He also noticed that our rain gutter was ponding in one area due to the slope. He asked permission if he could put in a couple screws to fix it. I love it! You see it, fix it! I am a terrible handy man, but a great inspector. I love to inspect other people's work to see what can be done better. It's rare that I feel really good about the quality of the work or the value that I've received. I'm always picky about the quality but I don't like paying a whole lot of money.
