I've been to Top Auto on two occasions. I needed my struts to be replaced and I read that they specialize in struts so I decided to take my car here. I had such a great first experience! Every time I talk to someone, whether it is on the phone or in person, it is always a great customer service and that is something that I don't find very often these days. After replacing my front struts, my car ran so much better and I was very pleased. A few months later, I started to hear a noise on the passenger side in the front tire and I wasn't sure what it was so I decided to bring it back to Top Auto because of my great experience the first time. It turns out that one of the pieces of the strut that they replaced last time, didn't set right so they fixed it and I was able to pick up my car within 3 hours all fixed up and no charge, again with great customer service and I left feeling completely satisfied. I definitely recommend this place for any car problems, because struts are not the only thing that they fix or replace. Their shop is also kept very clean and organized which always makes me feel at ease. I will definitely be returning.

Clean waiting area!!!

One of the best auto repair places I've been to. They don't upsell and work quickly and efficiently. Really glad to have found this place.

My transmission had started slipping in 4th and 5th gear, which made it extremely difficult to drive in automatic, so in the intern I drove my car in the manual option. It worked for a while but at times I would slip gears on the freeway and it became unresponsive when trying to shift gears to catch again. Long story short, I came here based on family recommendation, dealer wanted 10k to put a new transmission in. AAMCO wanted to charge 6k. I was quoted 2.8k for the transmission work to be done. My vacuum pump had been leaking for years so I asked about that. Dealer wanted to charge 2k and Jose charged me only 500. Not bad at all! I took a gamble and let his team do the work... I usually do my own work but obviously I can't do a transmission... unless I have the right equipment. Now my car runs phenomenal! I didn't realize how worn out my transmission was. Granted this "new" transmission is used, it was certified and warrantied so it was rebuilt. Sounds new to me! Car runs amazing and my brakes are more responsive after the vacuum pump change. He is very reasonable and very humble. He has a great team of mechanics who do an excellent job at what they have a talent in. They are ASE certified too if anyone wants to know. I appreciate the work done and will be back if I have any major work I can't do myself. I couldn't be more pleased. He is very reasonable

I arrived at 8:50 AM, was checked in by 9:00 AM, and was told the service would take about 1-1 1/2 hours. At 11:15 AM, my car STILL hadn't even been taken back. When I asked what was going on, I was told they had written down the wrong car and somehow my vehicle had been overlooked for over two hours. ‍ Once they finally looked at it, they told me I had two nails, my wheel couldn't be repaired, AND because my car is AWD, I supposedly needed all four new tires--for a grand total of $1,800. They also claimed they didn't have any cheaper tire options for my vehicle. I said NOPE. Put my wheels back on because I was going somewhere else. They even tried to convince me to let them do the work because they already had the tires off. I still declined. Then, to make matters worse, they put everything back together and didn't even repair the nail that could have been repaired. I took my car straight to America's Tire for a second opinion. Guess what? I only needed ONE tire for around $150. I ended up replacing both rear tires because the tread was getting low anyway, and my total was around $400. $400 vs. the $1,800 I was told I needed to spend. The difference is ridiculous. Between losing my car for hours because they wrote down the wrong vehicle, the poor communication, the attitude, and being told I needed four tires when another tire shop said I only needed one, this experience completely turned me off from Les Schwab. Do yourself a favor and get a second opinion before spending your money here. I will NEVER take my car back to Les Schwab.

Prices were much more reasonable in comparison to dealership. I was informed of the costs prior to any work being done. This is my second time trusting stress free auto with my car. They did a wonderful job on my break repair service last year. I was kept updated and informed of their work progress. I would encourage them to continue with the updated communication to customers as it does help ease your mind. I would recommend this business.

The waiting area is clean, there are snacks, coffee, places to charge. The people are friendly. They do a multi-point digital inspection where they send you a photo of everything they checked, whether it needs service or not. That's genuinely cool, and it's included when you have service done. But you, the customer, are absolutely overpaying for that service, and I believe that's where the cost of all that technology lives. For my 2019 Subaru Crosstrek, I was quoted $763.49 for front brakes and rotors, $707.48 for rear, and $150.39 for cabin and engine air filters. They also recommended a brake fluid flush at $244.95. With tax, over $2,000. I looked up what these should cost. Brakes and rotors on my car at an independent shop run $600-1,100. The flush should be $90-150 - even a dealership would charge around $180-220, still less than their quote. I called five other shops, all within a mile or two. Every single one was under $1,000 for brakes and rotors. The shop I chose did brakes, rotors, and filters for $592.73 - less than half of what Stress-Free quoted for brakes and rotors alone, before tax. This wasn't an isolated incident. My synthetic oil change was quoted at $127 - meanwhile, the fair price for my car is $75-90. They only came down when I called and mentioned a competitor's pricing. You shouldn't have to negotiate a fair price on something as basic as an oil change. The last time I was here, they put a branded license plate frame on my car and told me it'd get me $20 off my next visit. That $20 was never applied. It's a promise they didn't keep, on a car they branded for free. And as long as that frame is on my car, I'm driving around advertising a shop that overcharged me on every service & basically telling everyone I'm a sucker who happily overpays for things. I removed it the second I got home. Their transparency did help me, just not in the way they intended. Seeing every item priced out made it easy to compare. Once I did, the gap was impossible to ignore. The technology is nice. The people are nice. The inspection with photos is cool, and it's free. But you're paying for it, and what you're paying is two to three times what honest shops - or even dealerships - charge for the same work.

They responded very quickly, priced fairly, and even provided time slots they had open, so I headed to the shop that same Saturday. When I arrived, they quickly directed me to pull in to start the service. It seems like I had just sat down when they called me back out to show me the the underside of the van. They wanted to know where I'd done the prior oil changes since whoever did them had stripped the tread on the pan from tightening the bolt too tight. I could clearly see that what they were saying was true and the pan had no tread and had been leaking oil this whole time. There really would be no way to do the oil change without also changing the pan. I asked how much that replacement would cost, and told them to go ahead complete the repair along with the oil change. This is my mom's mini van that I was going to drive back down to LA, so definitely wanted to ensure I was safe. I was told it would take 2-3 hours, but was quickly out in about 1.5. They even provided a discount when I paid since the repair was unexpected and fast, which I really appreciate. They pointed out some other concerns, but did not force any repairs on me, which I am grateful for. Will definitely be coming back for any future oil changes and repairs.
