Do not come to this auto shop!!! They are shady and fail vehicles on SMOG for made up reasons, then deny a refund and tell you to open a case with the BAR. I had my 1985 truck smogged here, and they failed me due to two reasons. I took it to another repair shop to have it fixed and re-smogged, but THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. IT PASSES SMOG AS IS. I called Natomas Automotive and they informed me to call the BAR and that they wouldn't refund me for their fraudulent failed SMOG test. They get positive points for their SMOG program for each vehicle they fail. Do not let this place work on your vehicle. They do not seem to be an honest mechanic shop and they do not care about making things right. Avoid at all costs. read more

I had a great experience with Singh at Natomas Automotive. He was very nice, honest, and thorough. Instead of just taking my car in, he suggested that I first check with Hyundai to see if the repair might be covered under warranty--something he didn't have to do but showed he was looking out for me. The motor of my windshield wiper fluid stopped working the same day as a service done at the dealership service department. Hyundai quoted me $250 just to diagnose the issue, with the repair costing anywhere from $800 and up. Natomas Automotive was able to fix the issue for $550. I really appreciated that the mechanic didn't push unnecessary work and genuinely wanted me to get the best deal possible. Hard to find that kind of integrity these days! Highly recommend. read more

My last visit to Natomas Auto Repair was certainly my last! Owner, Singe is more concerned with a few dollars in his pocket than admitting mistakes and aggressive business practices. I had my oil changed at a different facility. My horn had not been working; this shop said it may have been a bad wire to the horn. Horns should be ok. I took my vehicle to Natomas Automotive Inc. Owner Singe wanted me to sign a document in duplicate. I did not read, but I noticed the $280. I believed this was a high-end estimate for repair. Next day he called and said the horns were bad as well as wiring. Estimate at $700 Plus. I balked and said no! Singe said he already had ordered parts. I did not authorize any repair or parts! Question, did Singe order parts? Next day he brought repair amount down to $500 Plus. I also said no! He already did some work, only to repair one of the two horns in a Nissan Rouge. (Cost for the two High and Low horns from Amazon was $83 and $63 retail). Finally, he wanted to charge me $298 as well as requesting my sympathy for returning a part I never ordered that he would have to eat a restocking fee. Singe offered $250. I countered at $200. Singe would not budge off $250. I paid him but also admonished him regarding his love for is extra $50 verses satisfying a customer. I informed of what I would do. 1) inform my friends that recommended Singe to me of my experience. 2) I would write an online review. 3) I would tell ten of my friends about my experience at Natomas Automotive Repair Inc. 4) I would inform the Bureau of Automotive Repair, which I did this day in a more detailed explanation. Another criticism. My wife took her Lexus to Natomas Auto to look at front end. Singe diagnosed front end for repair replacing two items for $2,800. He said not to drive vehicle! I took to another repair facility nearby. The estimate was only one item needed replacement at $1,800, and it was safe to drive. At Natomas Automotive customer service nonexistent. Apparently making an extra few dollars is far more important then good customer service. Sacraficing a consumer is not a great business practice. Instead of providing a, Warm Fuzzy, Natomas Auto gave me a Cold Prickly. One star may be too much for Natomas Automotive Repair. read more

Just spoke with Mavis, I previously brought my car to different repair shop. They had changed my head gasket and other repairs, however it left me with a dash full of lights. I spoke with her on the phone, she was able to explain a lot of things more clearer than the other shop that I went to. Moving to Sacramento three years ago, we were concerned about finding an auto shop for oil changes, smog service, repairs, etc. As a AAA member, we found Natomas Automotive with the AAA logo in their business info. and they were only minutes away. What a great find! Singh and his crew have provided excellent service, quality work, honest prices, and are always very friendly. Recently, we developed a terrible grinding noise on a vehicle, had it towed to Singh, and fully expected the vehicle was (a) not fixable or (b) extremely expensive. I've been taking my vehicles to Natomas Automotive since 2016, and never had an issue with this place. Earlier this year we took our Camry there, A/C wasn't working, Mr. Singh called us later and mentioned that they found a leak and that it will cost around $300 something. We told him to repair it. We picked it up when it was done and Mr. Singh told us that they repaired it and it was working find until May. We brought it back and he told us that he didn't repair it, he placed a UV sensor/light to find the leak and that we had to pay $146 for the diagnostic test and to repair the A/C, it will run around $300-350! I was upset because he never told us about placing a UV sensor, he told us that they repaired it! We will not be taking our vehicles to Natomas Automotive anymore and it's too bad because Mr. Singh was honest and we never had a problem with his shop! read more

My experience with Natomas Automotive has always been excellent! I've been several times and taken two different trucks there for repair and/or routine maintenance, and every time the service has been stellar. On the most recent visit, I took my truck for service after another repair shop had made a mistake that caused the engine to run rough and triggered the engine light. The other shop's attitude was very dismissive -- and when they weren't willing to look at the truck for at least a week, I called Natomas Automotive. Natomas Automotive offered to look at the next morning, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it right away. I am grateful for their willingness to help in this situation, and I am committed to returning to Natomas Automotive whenever I need service in the future. read more

My 24 yr old daughter had to have her car towed here as it wouldn't start. All it needed was a new battery .. they charged her $458 ! $125 for diagnostic.. $249 for a platinum battery and $62.50 to put in said battery.. im so furious with this business for taking advantage of a young woman who was stressed her car wouldn't start and had to have it towed and this was the first place she found . She just moved to Natomas from Winters .. welcome to Natomas . Her car is a 2015 Honda Civic . I had this place send me a copy of the invoice so i could see the charges. I was shocked. I'm visiting a family member in the hospital in Sacramento. I live 110 miles away. I start my vehicle and the dashboard lights up with warning lights about the brake system and other systems. I called the dealer and am forced into an AI assistant interview about why I'm calling. I hung up and called Natomas Automotive. Red answered the phone. I explained my situation and he took the necessary time to explain his thoughts and told me to bring it in for a diagnostic. I arrived at the shop and Red helped me within a few minutes of arrival. He assured me the problem was not serious and recommended I take it to the Honda dealership for the repair. I asked him how much I owed him and he would not take any money from me. I dropped my car here after hours after breaking down on the side of the road. I came from out of the area to fly out of town the next morning, so I was nervous to be leaving my car with the key in the slot and a note that about what happened, and that I would call from the airport before boarding the next morning. If you're looking for an honest & reliable auto shop, DO NOT take your vehicle here. My daughter broke down on the freeway and had her car towed into this shop. The shop informed us the diagnostic revealed the vehicle needed the engine replaced. While we were deciding on what to do, we received a random text message from one of the mechanics, Luis, offering to buy the vehicle for $600. Suspicious by the text, we opted to have the car towed to another shop for a second opinion. Fortunately, we received honest feedback there. They didn't want to charge for a second diagnostic. Instead, they highly recommended we reach out to the dealer as the vehicle is known for having engine issues. We were so blessed to end up in honest hands as we found out we had active recalls including the engine. I called Natomas Automotive back and spoke with one of the owners, Singh, to inform him of the recall information we received and to voice how unprofessional it is for one of the employees to take customer information for their own benefit. He responded by saying their diagnosis picks up recalls but their system didn't on her vehicle. He also said Luis showed him the text so he was fine with it. The entire situation seemed to be unsettling especially when management takes no ownership. The shops technology is clearly unreliable and more importantly, they display unethical business practices. I called to ask how much it would be to have my trunk lock replaced and was told to bring it in and they could tell me after a $125 diagnostic fee and that would go towards repairs if that is what was wrong. I told them I knew that was what was wrong and I just wanted to find out cost to repair. Against my better judgement I brought the car in and let them know I would need it by 2:30 to pick my daughter up from school. I was called hours later and was told it would cost almost $600 to fix the trunk actuator assembly and I declined services and said I would be there to pick up my car. When I arrived my car was not ready, the person who I told the info originally was gone and they weren't going to have it put back together by 2:30. I had to rush them so that I could get my daughter from school and was forced to pay $129.xx to get my car back. It was extremely unprofessional to be charged this fee when I already explained that I knew that was what was wrong with my car. They were uncaring and unfriendly when I addressed the situation. I would not recommend this untrustworthy shop. I was actually able to replace the part myself for less than $100 and I am a 50 something year old woman!!
