I have been a patient of Dr. Javid at Dr. Smile for many years but took a break during Covid. On my return, I had some complications that were explained to me well and shared through images of my teeth and gums as well as educational videos to explain the issues and options. After getting a second opinion about my son "needing" braces at 8 years old, I decided I wanted a third opinion. (1st retainers with lip bumpers and 2nd braces on lower four front teeth). My son has perfect teeth, you would laugh that someone suggested braces for an 8 y/o. Regardless, we met with Dr. Feldman. The office is very clean, several rooms, and very nice staff. They have flat screens for the patients to watch TV and yes, you can even stream Netflix! Dr. Feldman was awesome! Kind, caring, and honest of her dental opinion regarding my son's teeth. She was extremely honest in her "diagnosis" of what was necessary. I felt much better after leaving yesterday. I needed a referral for her recommendations for my son's Pedatric dentist at Cedars, so I emailed Dr. Feldman and she got back to me immediately. Love this kind of care and service. I never saw that Dr Javid completely denied having met me or said "if I have 50 or 100000 dollars" he could help me. It was March of 2013. His receptionist was a great guy, his dental tech was a very sweet woman. Took xray and said Dr will be in soon. He finally came in. Never said his name. Sat cross armed in a chair across from me. I asked if he could give me a smile like his poster outside. No humor, no introduction. Just sat arms across chest saying "Do you have 50 or 100,000 to spend"? Otherwise you will have dentures in a jar. I started crying and he just left. His wonderful receptionist walked me to my car.The reason I am writing this now is because I can't believe he's still in business. My happy ending is the most amazing Persian dentist in the world. Dr. Hossein J seeing from your response, it sounds like you don't think you can't improve your business practices; it's that arrogance I could not believe from a business with high ratings. And Do not blame it on me, making it seem like I was wrong or a bad customer asking for illegal practices; it was you with your arrogance or pride and your worker Kelly getting defensive. I never said I do not want to pay; I explain my past experience as I know many have had similar experience, yet never imposing or expecting it from your office. If Kelly had been patient and not defensive, I would have agreed because I need the work done. My intentions were never to not pay for work; it's getting the why behind the work I need to get done; knowing I have a certain amount of money provided by my insurance, I always ask where I should start with any type of work. She acted like a pushy bad salesperson that claims, "I've been in this business for 10 yrs". I am not about doing anything illegal or suggesting illegal practices; I can't believe your assumptions on this and blame and how you lie in your response about me being the bad customer. That is Something that I never expected from a highly rated business. Kelly knows exactly what happened; I was polite and just sharing past experiences; I didn't get defensive or requested special treatment or required it. If she had at least giving me the basic cleaning that my insurance pays, I would have been good, or even you telling me what to prioritize, I would have been good. But you coming in with a careless attitude after Kelly had debriefed you and Kelly leaving mad because she didn't get her way and coming back saying no to basic cleaning, saying she will email me the total cost via email, pushing me out of the office after I didn't agree for the deep cleaning. Do not make it seem like I was a wrong customer or demonize me like I wanted to do illegal business, and saying that is why I left; it is the attitude that pushed me away. And your responses show that arrogance and pride like you are right and I'm wrong type of attitude, instead of trying to understanding the situation and emailing me asking question getting a better understanding. But I know it's easier for you to blame others instead of finding a solution. At your office, I treated everyone with respect, including you and Kelly; regardless of me seeing you and Kelly's attitude, I can rest and know I treated you all with respect and Besides you and Kelly, the rest of the staff was excellent and helpful, and very friendly. read more

Everyone is so amazingly attentive in the office! Kelly explained everything about my insurance prior to being seen which was so helpful. Dental hygienist josie was so soo sweet and took her time with my cleaning and gave me so many breaks making sure I was okay the whole time. I didn't feel like the staff was rushed like other offices. I liked how they showed me pictures of my teeth and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. When I came home from my first appointment at Dr. Smile, my sister asked me how it was and I said "I don't know...there's something not right about that place. Everyone was so freaking happy. It was like the twilight zone".... she laughed but completely understood what I meant. We grew up going to the same dentists and although they may have possessed decent skills insomuch as drilling teeth and poking gums is concerned, their bedside manner was severely lacking and enough to induce panic and long lasting mistrust in already skittish youngsters. However, when I first called to make an appointment at Dr. Smile I spoke with Anthony and he was seriously great and informative. Every time I have spoken with him in person and over the phone he is so happy and positive, it is infectious. I came in for my first appointment and the office was so clean and I was able to watch The Office while waiting in the chair for the Dr. to see me. I saw Dr. Deering and he was super friendly and spent a great deal of time explaining what treatment I needed. He was funny and really easy going. What has stuck out the most to me after a few calls and visits to Dr. Smile is how happy EVERYONE is. Like, the office is full of young people and they seem to actually really enjoy their jobs and helping their patients. I wasn't used to seeing that. I am especially grateful to Danielle who has gone out of her way to get information for me and keep me informed of info regarding my insurance. The other ladies in the office are so helpful as well. They really have a solid team there. I recently had a dental emergency but found myself uninsured due to a change in employment. The office was more than accommodating in fitting me into their busy schedule and the consultations and mini procedure I had didn't cost an arm and a leg like I had assumed they would. Also, I was able to meet Dr. Javid and Specialist Perea and they were both so genuinely nice and comforting. Anyway, what is apparent from all the "horror stories" that people (myself included) have about dental offices is that the GOOD ones are few in number. Dr. Javid is the BEST dentist I have had help me with my dental health. I had a minor tooth ache that progressed to a very painful debilitating toothache. The professionals at Dr Smile were able to get me in to see Dr. Javid on very short notice. Dr. Javid stopped the pain by extracting the damaged tooth.
