This was only my second visit, but I already know I've found my dental home. From the start, Valeria at the front desk was so kind, welcoming, and patient. She answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable, and her service started from the moment I called. I was really nervous because I had such a great dentist in Berkeley, but Blue Dental actually surpassed that experience. After avoiding the dentist after Covid, I needed a lot of work--two full days' worth. At first, I hesitated after the evaluation because of the cost, but Dr. Aswani worked with me and found me over $600 in insurance discounts, which I'm so grateful for. Dr. Nguyen was incredibly thorough, caring, and patient, and her assistants Lorraine and Manny made both visits amazing. Lorraine was so understanding of my financial situation, and Manny sat with me to explain everything clearly. Between Valeria, Dr. Aswani, Dr. Nguyen, Lorraine, and Manny, I felt truly cared for from start to finish. My dental work exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely be returning. The worst experience I've ever had with a dentist. The dentist didn't even go over the work they were going to do with me. I had no idea they were even going to redo every cavity in my mouth along with other unnecessary work. The dentist didn't numb my gums enough and it was very painful. After that I couldn't even eat on one side of my mouth and had to have several things redone by another dentist. The deep cleaning wasn't done very well either and that was very painful too. I had to get another cleaning by another dentist which cost me $300. The X-rays showed a lot of plaque that was still on my teeth because the deep cleaning wasn't done thoroughly. This was the first and last time to have this dentist work on my teeth. read more

The dentist was very professional and he is highly skilled; however, his office staff could use an upgrade. The staff tried to sell me a mouth guard which I do not need, as well as a list of other services that I do not need. Not to mention I was told that they were submitting authorization to my insurance company for some additional work. I mentioned that I am an insurance agent and what I was being told did not sound correct. As I suspected, after contacting my insurance company, there weren't any authorizations submitted on my behalf, and I even waited 2 months to see if the office staff was going to submit anything, smh. Unethical practices only yields bad karma. read more
