This was only my second visit, but I already know I've found my dental home. From the start, Valeria at the front desk was so kind, welcoming, and patient. She answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable, and her service started from the moment I called. I was really nervous because I had such a great dentist in Berkeley, but Blue Dental actually surpassed that experience. After avoiding the dentist after Covid, I needed a lot of work--two full days' worth. At first, I hesitated after the evaluation because of the cost, but Dr. Aswani worked with me and found me over $600 in insurance discounts, which I'm so grateful for. Dr. Nguyen was incredibly thorough, caring, and patient, and her assistants Lorraine and Manny made both visits amazing. Lorraine was so understanding of my financial situation, and Manny sat with me to explain everything clearly. Between Valeria, Dr. Aswani, Dr. Nguyen, Lorraine, and Manny, I felt truly cared for from start to finish. My dental work exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely be returning. The worst experience I've ever had with a dentist. The dentist didn't even go over the work they were going to do with me. I had no idea they were even going to redo every cavity in my mouth along with other unnecessary work. The dentist didn't numb my gums enough and it was very painful. After that I couldn't even eat on one side of my mouth and had to have several things redone by another dentist. The deep cleaning wasn't done very well either and that was very painful too. I had to get another cleaning by another dentist which cost me $300. The X-rays showed a lot of plaque that was still on my teeth because the deep cleaning wasn't done thoroughly. This was the first and last time to have this dentist work on my teeth. read more

First, It needs to be said that it is posted on their front door that by leaving a "good review" I have a chance to win an electric toothbrush. I will pass on that and leave an HONEST review. Bribing clients to leave good reviews is dishonest. The dental staff seems friendly, gentle, and have good bedside matters, but I won't be going back. Gina, the office manager is terribly rude and a bully. After working with her I have to agree that all of the bad comments about her are true and some of them are still kind. I also find it hard to believe that the owner isn't aware of this so this leaves one to assume Gina does the dirty work for the owner and dentists. At the end of my Visit, Gina yelled/raised her voice with me and got upset because I didn't accept some treatments. The proposed treatment plan she wanted me to sign clearly states that "Guarantor is responsible for all treatment not covered by insurance" and "I request and authorize the Dentist or Qualified Assigned to perform the work described above" When I crossed out some items that I didn't want to do or was ready to do like getting a night guard she got mad and said I should translate the language to her in Spanish because she then said she didn't understand. She added that me striking out items/treatment I didn't want want was against the law. Will I be going to Jail? Sorry to the Dentists and Dental Staff at Blue Dental. Now matter how nice or competent you are, you can't let someone like Gina run your office unless you want that to reflect on you. When the office manager says she needs someone to translate the language on the office documents to her it makes you all look shady and incompetent and, this isn't the first time we have experienced this rudeness. The dentists and other staff must hear the way she treats customers and yet she is still there. Gina may get things done and pull in the insurance revenue in but when you have someone that isn't professional and rude to your customers the entire office pays the price in loss of trust and reputation. You can't expect an intelligent person to think they broke the law by refusing parts of a proposed treatment plan given the language that obligates your customers right next to where you ask your customers to sign. Maybe you have another acceptance form? Well then, be clear about that in your language and communication. Yelling at customers for not wanting to sign for things they don't want is not cool! I will be going back to my old dentist who wasn't very friendly but was kind, honest and did what was needed to keep my teeth healthy. I rather pay out of pocket than receive threats at Bluedental. read more
