The office is clean, the dentists do a good job. Used my yearly cleaning when they didn't even clean my teeth. Pricing is high and they refused to use a crown material that was approved by my insurance so I had to pay out of pocket. That ended up being the story each time- conveniently the materials they needed to use weren't covered. Stopped going because it felt scammy. This review is about a year past due but I figured I could finally give an honest one. A year ago i went to this place wanting a regular check up and to ask about wisdom teeth removal. They do their x rays and then tell me i have a cracked tooth so i need a crown and that they can do the wisdom teeth removal but they have to withdraw blood to use the plasma for healing or something of that sort. My quote was like $5200. I said no cause that's crazy. I had insurance and it may not have been the best one but i thought it would at least let me have a lower out of pocket. They break it down and tell me the blood draw fee is $800 per tooth. So just $3200 of that is drawing my blood. Insane. I said no, So the girl tells me oh we can do the blood draw for just two teeth and then your total will be $3600. I still said no. She said well how about just the crown today it's $1400. I said no again and left. They didn't even do a basic cleaning or anything which i thought would have came with my exam through my insurance. I ended up calling back to ask if the blood draw thing was necessary for the procedure and they said yes. Anyways I went to get another check up recently with a different dentist and somehow I magically do not have a cracked tooth like this place told me. I asked them about it and they said no, and if i did have one, i would have felt the pain from it long ago. They also said it's not really necessary for the blood draw thing, I had my wisdom teeth removed today and only paid $400 out of pocket with insurance. I had a feeling this place was just trying to scam out of money and I was right. Also when i was leaving, i heard them offering patients to enter a raffle to win an iPad if they left a review. So just know most of these "good" reviews are NOT honest, they were just for a raffle entry. Would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I had the worst experience with this dentist office so far. 1. I changed my dental office to them so i expected a nice welcome. I wanted a deep cleaning. So they did my X-Rays (they cut my mouth doing x-rays) appointment was at 3pm i was there for 2 hours and they did not give me a deep cleaning. I was only there for that... The lady in the front told me it was going to be $1,000 and that i had to come back on other day. Like what did we do for 2 hours. 2. I told the front lady to check my insurance a deep clean was covered. Mind you that they already had my insurance information Then she said let me check. At 5:55pm she said you might want to chose a different office. I was like what? Are you refusing service to a paid insurance member. I have an appointment to go back on 12/11 let's see what they do this time. I want to call the insurance and tell them what they are doing to insurance patients. I will be calling the dental board of California next 877-729-7789. You need to do better for your patients. I will also get names next of the people to be held accountable. read more

I recently had a dental exam and notified the doctor and staff I was in pain due to broken teeth and I also am a medical patient (medical covers extractions). I was sure to let them know I was in the dental field for 6 + years (in hopes of avoiding upselling games and fees) Doctor suggested extracting both teeth and I agreed, he then sends the office manager over to talk to me and she proceeds to say that they need to charge me $600 per tooth for a made up procedure or they would not help me. Don't do it. I removed my review of months ago and tell the real real. They straight ROBBIN THE HOOD. Watch them with both your eyes and your worst enemies eyes too. Initially tried telling me implant would be $3000-3200. Then next visit told me could do it for $2600. This means you would have gotten me for some extra money the first time. This last visit it became $4000. Charged me $200 for some irrigation with my cleaning for my gums. Doubt this would have ever been recommended if I hadn't said gums had bleed a couple times with flossing. DONT TRUST THEM!! read more

My experience was great! I'm usually one who is very afraid of the dentist but my feelings were change today. From the very beginning, the front desk staff Steven and Marcella were amazing. Front office is very unprofessional. Had an appointment set for 6 months ahead of time. The week before my appointment I got numerous text messages even got a phone call confirming my appointment. The day of I get to my appointment, all for them to tell me they can't see me because they no longer accept my insurance. Then the lady gaslights me saying that she'd been "trying to call" to "let me know" about the matter and asked if I "ever got the calls" I tell her "no, no one called except to confirm my appointment, her response "huh...weird" and then proceeded to gaslight even more. Very disappointing how they handled this situation after being a patient here for 4 years. I do not recommend going here. read more

I went to them last year to have my remaining thirteen teeth removed which was a medical necessicty and should have been covered by Medi-Cal The biller lied to me and said that my insurance which was Medi-Cal and Delta Dental would not cover the procedure they told me that I would have to take out a loan of $4,400 plus $160 dollars out of pocket to preform the procedure under pain and duress I submitted to this loan which was unnecessary and fraudulent.I am sure this is not an isolated incidentI am in the processof litigation with these crooks.I contacted them and made them aware that this was improperly billed but they refused to do the right thing. read more

Im so upset. I brought my son as he was having pain, was advice he needed his right bottom wisdom tooth removed some cleaning and irrigation. Bottom line it's was going to be over $1000. We opted on no for the irritating cleaning as at the moment it was not monetarily possible. But we paid to get his tooth extracted and do the plasma procedure to help heal faster. I was told by the assistant that he really needed the irrigation. I said I'm sure he does but it's not something I can afford. She made a rude sigh. And proceeded to tell me again that he really needed it. I told her I was not going to be pushed into something I could not afford. I explained to her why I couldn't afford it and she keeps insisting. I got mad got up and told my son to get up. I told the office manager what happened. They tried to make me feel like I was a bad mother for not being able to afford a procedure right then and there. My husband told them to do what we paid for an we are not coming back. I had been coming to this office for years and it's said that they want to pressure people on the bs new procedures. My son said the doctors where super nice to him as he has severe anxiety and they made him feel comfortable but that was after all the drama. I've been coming to Crown Dental for 2 yrs. In the very beginning, I inquired whether they notified patients of dental cleaning reminders. They said, "Yes." However, in the 2 yrs, I've never received ANY form of communication from Crown Dental. Each and every time, I had to initiate the appointments by speaking directly to a live person. Furthermore, they were unresponsive to my emails and voice messages to schedule appointments. Then, the front desk became defensive when I mentioned I wasn't receiving the reminders. In addition, the dentist, refused to clean my teeth 3X annually, even though my insurance fully covers it. HIs response, "You don't need it. Because you don't need it." No further explanation or criteria for cleaning just 2X when my insurance is willing to pay for 3 cleanings. read more

This dentist legit blew me away. I have to start by saying they cater to the HMO (or DMO) population. I don't know about you all, but I am fearful of dentists who take HMO - they're typically horrible people looking to rip you off. Luckily I was fortunate enough to find Crown through Yelp. Dr. Kang was kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and also very informative. He is HONEST which is tough to find in a dentist. He was quick, but also took his time explaining to me the items I had questions about. The staff here were wonderful as well. I was half asleep when I went in, but they just laughed with me on how cognitively delayed I was that morning. Oh and they gave me a gift! I'm not talking about your typical toothpaste and floss (although they did provide that, too). I won't tell you what it was, in case you decide to go see for yourself. But it was something I needed and certainly appreciated. I think I found my new dentist office going forward!!! Another one for the win! :) read more

This is my first time at this dentist and I must say I am thoroughly impressed. I had a crown come off and needed to get it reseated. I went to my old dentist to get it cemented and they quoted me $1500...said the gold crown was outdated, and i needed a new one. Since just changed dental coverage through Medicare, I decided to go to crown dental where my delta care is assigned. Go figure, they recemented the crown and didn't try to convince me to get a new, more modern one. It cost me $22 for the visit. The staff and doctor were warm and professional! I have been to Crown Dental for the past 2 years and EVERYTIME I call I always get some rude lady on the phone who makes it impossible to be nice or cordial to set a simple appointment.
