After 8 years with a dentist I adored, I moved to the area and hoped this referred office would be my new dental home. Unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. First, scheduling is difficult and there is a long wait. Second, I booked a standard cleaning, but no one warned me about a lengthy intake process for new patients that would interfere with my workday. Apparently, the first appointment is 2 hours (instead of just 1 hour). When I asked to proceed with the cleaning and return later for X-rays (due to my work schedule), they flat-out refused. I still tried to work with them to reschedule but they wanted me to wait weeks. This place is just not worth it. Although the front desk had nice people, it feels very corporate and impersonal. I prefer the hometown dentist vibe. Anyway, there are so many other dentists in this great city, I am just disappointed I spent so much time waiting on this one. read more

I brought my 3 year old toddler in for his first dental visit today and it was far from exceptional. We were greeted by friendly faces as soon as we walked in. Monica emailed me the new patient forms far in advance for me to fill out and I'm glad she did because it was a bit lengthy. I was also able to upload our insurance cards which is a plus considering I had a toddler that I had to pep talk and prepare for this visit. Lindsay did my sons cleaning and polish. She was friendly and so gentle with him. She made his whole experience easy. Dr. Kaleka then came in and helped count his teeth and gave us the thumbs up to continue his day to day oral care and gave us tips on how to help discontinue his thumb sucking. I was a patient of Dr. Ferradas for several years and my records were transferred to Dr. Kaleka. I asked to meet Dr Kaleka at the office of Dr. Ferradas. Instead I met with Yosef. I again went back and finally met with Dr. Kaleka. He said I need "a small filling" I then made an appointment to do the filling. When I arrived to the appointment I had issues with their payment process so I rescheduled the appointment to yesterday. I was taken in the room by his assistant and she told me "I was there for a large filling" first time I heard that. Then she put some Gel in my mouth to prepare for injection. She later came back and said Dr.Kaleka would be about an hour. I said I would not wait that long, she later came back and said a half hour. I never even saw the doctor. Not sure he was even in the building and if he was I think he should have at least spent a minute to explain what happened that he could not see me. She offered another person to do the filling which i declined. I do not recommend that anybody go to this office. I wish there were more dentists like Dr. Ferradas read more

I had a very good experience at this establishment. I broke off my cap and was fortunate enough to be referred to this dental office. The moved some patient's appointments so they could accommodate me for a 2 hour appointment. The chair was so comfortable that it did not seem like I was there so long. Both times I visited this new dental office were terrible. My first appointment was at 4pm on a weekday. I took off work to come in. I sat for a half an hour before I was led back to a room where they informed me that their machines were broken and they couldn't do anything but I should wait to meet the doctor. Complete waste of everyone's time. The next visit I was supposed to get a cavity fixed on my left side. The wait was short to go back to a room. When I got back there the assistant told me that the dentist was busy but another dentist could come and numb my mouth. She came and did that and I waited for Dr Kaleka. When he came in, he looked in my mouth and looked at the computer screen and informed me I did not have a cavity and they numbed the wrong side. He said he could fix a filling on the other side and numbed my right side. So I waited for that side but he came back in before it was completely numb and started to drill. Two second later he hit a nerve and all of my limbs shot up because it hurt so bad. The worst experience I've ever had at a dentist. They didn't even apologize and just sent me a bill. I cannot recommend Kaleka Dental more highly. I started getting regular cleanings after having moved to the area and missed cleanings by a couple of years due to the pandemic, and the staff were completely understanding and non-judgmental. Appointments are always on-time, the office is modern and very comfortable, and I never feel pressured to have more work done than is needed. Last week, a permanent retainer that I'd had for over 25 years popped out and I immediately called Kaleka for a referral to a local orthodonist. That particular orthodontist refused to work with me since my retainer had not been placed by them, so I called Kaleka back and they got me in immediately, removed the remaining pieces of the permanent retainer, and fitted me for a removable retainer. I thoroughly enjoy Kaleka Dental. They are extremely professional and give their patients the best experience. All staff greet the patients the moment they walk into the door. One thing I love about them from multiple visits is that they actually take me right on time for my appointment. I have been to many other dental offices where I feel like I still wait 10-15 minutes to be seen. From what I can tell, they also have state of the art, top notch equipment. They have X-Ray Equipment and tools that I have never seen in any other dental office. Their office and restroom are always very clean. My dental hygienist, Becca is great. She actually seems like she is thoroughly trying to clean my teeth and I never feel like she is rushing through the job. From all my teeth cleanings, I feel like she spends more time on my teeth than any other hygienist I have ever had. I never really feel any pain from her cleanings but I also appreciate that she regularly checks in with me to make sure that I'm not feeling pain. She creates a very comfortable experience for her patients. Dr. Kaleka is amazing! He is very nice, quick and knowledgeable. I think that the recommendations he has made for my dental care are sound and come from a true place of care for his patients. He doesn't try to just sell products or services to his patients which I have seen from some of my dentists in the past. I also like that he connects with me about my personal life on each visit following up on conversations that we had in the past. It's nice to have a doctor that doesn't just treat you like a number. Overall, I feel under great care with Kaleka Dental. They are quite a drive from my house but the experience that I get from them is well worth it. I saw Dr. Kalecka today for a horrific cavity and restoration with a partial crown. I was so nervous but he and his staff were calm and reassuring. He has state-of-the-art technology, which while it didn't make the procedure pleasant, helped make it much easier to go through. They have a TV with every possible streaming service available to distract you. Further, they make your crown in-house, meaning you get it at your appointment instead of waiting a week with a temp one for an outside lab to make it. Also, easy, free parking behind the building and on the street. Oh! And they take insurance! This was the best dental appointment I've ever had, even though it was for a filling and crown. This dental office is a state of the art, high tech facility with a streamlined, in-depth patient intake process. I visited Dr Kaleka for a sleep apnea mouth guard. He was very nice. I was handed off to a tech named Devan. I was fitted for the device and after wearing it I felt my jaw move so much that it affected my bite where I had problems chewing. I made several visits back to Devan to help fix the issue. Finally Dr Kaleka inspected my jaw and recommended I get another mouth piece to put my jaw back in place. Devan said to call and make an appt for a check up. She gave me her cell phone so I can schedule the appt directly with her. I repeatedly called and she never returned my phone calls. This happened before when finally I had to use the website to request a call back. Follow up is poor. I spent $3090 on a device that has messed up my bite and now the office is non responsive. I came in here about a month ago because it's down the street from my job. As a new patient I was here close to two hours. They x-rays are totally cool. My cleaning went well and without a hitch. The worst part of my appointment was having them take my blood pressure. It was like 202/60. Definitely not natural. They took it two more times and it did not go down. I got freaked out, left work, had someone drive me to emergency because I thought I was going to have a heart attack and die. I get to emergency and it was 152/62. They tested me again after resting for a while and it was 132/60. Still "high" for me, but nowhere near 202/60. I think there might be something wrong with the equipment. And now I'm assed out $100 for having to go to the emergency room. read more

Got charged $72 to have him replace a crown he put in that was so shallow it left a gap between my real tooth and crown where food was getting stuck and causing major pain. Not to mention the fact he put in a crown only to have to get a root canal through the crown days later causing it be be weakly attached. I have never had to come back to a dentist so many times to fix his mistake then changing me to fix his mistakes!! Stay away!!!! Unless you want to come back constantly and waste your money!!
