I have been a client of Tooth Spa ever since the office opened up a few years ago. Until now, I have been undeniably satisfied with the service that has been provided. The staff is very courteous, honest, and professional.....I love the fact that I get a reminder call for upcoming appointments. I tend to forget my appointments. The atmosphere within the office is kid friendly. In almost every case, I've seen animated videos for children and adults to watch in the waiting room. In addition, the office appears to be very clean and organized. As far as the dental procedures that I have experienced, I have no complaints at all. Before each procedure is started, a thorough explanation was given as to what was going to be done (i.e. x-rays, cleanings, fillings, etc...). During the procedure, every measure was taken to make sure that I was comfortable and in no pain. At the end of the appointment, suggestions were given by the attending doctor as to what further care, treatment, or maintenance was needed. This place is awesome! I have been going to this dentist for a little over a year now and I am truly impressed. I've always had a positive experience. The dentists are very knowledgeable and friendly. Catherine was my dental hygienest during my last few visits and she is sooo nice and really fun to talk to! The dentist came in and was able to spot a developing cavity from a tiny spot in the x-rays. Last year I chipped a tooth from an awful fall. I called up Tooth Spa the next day and they told me to come in right then and there. I was afraid the procedure was going to take a long time but the dentist quickly patched up my tooth, did an amazing job, and sent me on my way! And it certainly helps that they really give you as close to a spa treatment that a dentist can provide - the patient chairs are also massage chairs! And I love the tropical feel with the fish tanks and decor! read more

I've been going to the Tooth Spa for over 5 years now. During my visits, I'm always greeted by their warm and friendly staff. Dr. Grace and Dr. David are very professional and friendly dentists. They are very gentle especially when administering the Novocaine shot for my filling. They have a way of distracting the pain where I hardly feel it. I've never had any issues with my fillings. My old dentist was so rough. I am so glad I switched. My most recent cleaning was performed by Dr. David. I've been going to Dr Dave & Dr Grace since they took over my dentist's(Dr Greene) practice. I was, to say the least, a litte leery of a couple young kids fresh out of college. But I trusted my former dentist, that she would know what she was doing when she sold her business to them. And she was right! The are both very professional and extremely competent not to mention tech savvy and state of the art. When I was able to look at a monitor and see pictures of my tooth that needed a crown, taken from a camera that looked like a sonicare toothbrush, suffice to say I was pretty impressed. And the massage dental chairs with movies on the monitors while you get the work done on your teeth, well that seems just perfect for the Silicon Valley patients. All the staff is great, from top to bottom. I was just in to get a crown on a large tooth, and today, it is absolutely perfection. I think it fits better than my old one. Just can't say enough nice things about this place. For those yelpers looking for a new dentist, you'll never find a more caring doctor with higher integrity than Dr. Grace and the others at the Tooth Spa. And its waaaaay less expensive than some of the other dental offices in this area. I never thought I'd be recommending a dentist but this place totally deserves it! I've been with Dr. Grace for about a year and a half now. I've never had a dentist who was so caring. She takes the time to explain the procedures in a soft and confidend voice that puts me completely at ease. None of my past dentists have ever taken the time to get to know me and understand my concerns, but the staff at the Tooth Spa really gives me that hometown feel that is so hard to find these days. I wish I had a doctor that cared for my health as much as my dentist does. I'm very wary of doctors with $'s in their eyes. When I first moved here from the East Coast I found that everything out here was expensive. But I did some research and found that the Tooth Spa prices are less than average for this area. These days, I just want to get the most for my money. I heard they're opening a brand new state of the art office just down the street. The assistant told me they are promising not to raise prices even though they'll be in a much bigger, more luxurious facility. Can't wait to see it! Oh yeah, you don't have to take my word for it. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! My teeth are very high maintenance from getting a bunch of crappy dental work in my early 20s and just having bad teeth overall. i've gone through a lot of dentists around the area for the past ~16 yrs in the valley and i find that Tooth Spa has just the right combination of great workmanship/doctors, friendly and reliable staff and a warm/inviting decor to help you feel at ease when they're drilling into your teeth. I see both Dr.David and Grace and both are incredibly meticulous and thorough. i've had everything from a routine cleaning, crowns, fillings, a gum cap (i'm sure i'm not using the proper term for this), night guard, and a root canal. They've always been super thorough in going over everything w/ me - they usually have a reco for you, but always make a point to go over a range of options including the bare minimum aka doing nothing to the full blown work up. Dr.Grace even went over the material composition of the crown I was considering when I had asked about the potential impact. So surprised to read other reviewers saying that they were given the most expensive treatment w/o being able to fully explore all available options. Just like some of the reviewers said, there seems to be a fairly high turn over rate w/ the dental assistants, but so far my experience has been great and pretty consistent across them all. I also adore their front desk staff - Carol and Esther. I have no idea how they keep track of everyone, but they always remember you when you call, when you come see them and are very thorough w/ their follow ups. I'm always in a rush when i'm there so always end up calling them back for things i forget. I've called them to get itemized receipts for my flex spend, referral info, follow up Qs w/ the doctors, etc. and they're always so patient, kind and willing to help. read more

Fast and easy tooth repair. I called at 12:30pm and was in the dental chair at 1:45pm. They reviewed my options and fixed my broken tooth quick. It was also a perfect color match. Strongly recommend this place. The only downside was being asked to sign the payment acknowledgment in the dental chair prior to treatment. I wished they covered this form in the lobby prior to sitting in the chair. A++++ read more

The dental work done is very good. The equipment and services are excellent. However Dr. Grace has a habit of pushing new expensive procedures on patients that are not really necessary. She'll schedule you for a filling and then when they have you in the chair pressure you to upgrade to a cap with scary pictures and prognoses. So you do end up paying for that service both with your money and time, but also with the long term health of your teeth. I would suggest you use their services but be hyper vigilant against their sales tactics. read more

i was seriously dentist phobic for over 6 years and finally decided to give the TOOTHSPA a shot. i explained my concerns to them... last time i visited a dentist for a cleaning and checkup, my jaw actually came out of place and dislocated. traumatizing isn't it? anyway, the Toothspa team was incredibly patient and accomodating with my needs and for the past 3 years i have been seeing Dr Grace with zero incident nor hesitation. not only is Dr Grace attentive and highly skilled, the rest of the staff is stellar as well! i'm anxious to see their new office, as the current office is already so clean and calming and v. professional. read more

Dr. Grace did both my cleaning and my cavity filling a week later. She explained the process as she did it and repeatedly checked to see if I was comfortable. You can tell that the staff is competent as well, they called to check my insurance immediately and gave me a new appointment card as soon as I was finished. I didn't wait long both appointments and the office did have a calming effect with matching beach artwork in the sitting area as well as the patient room. I love this dentist! I came here a few days ago for the first time with my husband and left sad(because I have cavities) but happy with the service. I called to make my appointment on a Monday and had my appointment the coming up Thursday, I love how easy it was to make the appointment over the phone, the lady I spoke to was super sweet. When we arrived the outside of the building isn't too spectacular but once you walk in it feels like a completely different place. It was so modern and clean and calm. There were nice big couches and chairs to sit in and we were greeted by name and checked in quick. I sat for only about 2 minutes and then was asked to take a picture, then 2 minutes later I was being seen. Every doctor or assistant who helped me was amazing. I haven't been to the dentist in a little while and I had a few cavities and the doctor showed me my x-rays and showed me how they detected where the cavities were at. I left feeling so informed and I left with a high level of trust in my doctors. I had a bad experience at my last dentist and this time I just know I will have a great experience. I have a another appointment in the next week and although I'm nervous I know I'm in great hands! read more

I HATE going to the dentist, but ever since I've been going to the Tooth Spa I don't have an anxiety attack as soon as I walk in the door. Instead, I am calmed by the atmosphere of the place. I love how they have a little garden I can look at while sitting in the chair. I have had my teeth worked on by Dr. David, Dr. Grace, and cleaned by the hygienist, I think her name is Catherine. Everyone is very friendly and the staff always explain what procedure they're going to do before they begin. I have always dreaded the numbing shot when I have my cavities filled, but I don't know how they do it because I can barely ever feel it! I used to tense up clenching my toes and hands at other offices, but they are so gentle the shot is already administered and done before I even know it. Even when they are cleaning my teeth they are extremely gentle and ask if I'm comfortable. At the end of the cleaning, if I have toothpaste all over my face they give me a moist towelette so I don't look stupid when I leave. I have never been to a dental office that is so friendly and gentle with my teeth. I have recommended this place to all of my friends whenever they complain about their dentists. I believe since my last visit they have changed offices. I haven't been able to see it yet, but it sounds even better than the last office. read more

I highly recommend this place and having been with Tooth Spa for the last 5 years I do have a lot of stories to say about them. I have been with Dr. Grace and it has been a good experience. The first appointment I was with her she told me I was a grinder and recommended a night guard. I wish I knew this earlier.. could've saved a couple root canals probably. She did a few fillings and they all worked out well, none needed rework so far. I did a few crowns with them and every time she would make sure they fit perfectly, if not she would return the crowns to be remade (free of charge to me of course). She tends to recommend conservative plans - for example last time another dentist I worked with recommended a root lengthening procedure (actually a surgery) because I didn't have enough tooth exposed for the crown. I was not happy about having to do it but thought it was inevitable. In the evening Dr. Grace went through my document and called me to recommend a conservative approach (I don't remember the details) without the surgery. In the end it worked well very well. There is also another instance she tried to save me a root canal and succeeded too - those are the things I appreciate rather than just send me to a root canal doctor. They have top of the line equipments too, the dental chairs can actually give massages and you can also watch movies while your teeth being worked on. they need better magazines though. Dr. Grace wanted to become a dentist since very young age and she likes what she does - in my book this is very important, more so than someone who just became a dentist to make big money. I am moving away from silicon valley soon and just hope I can find another dentist as good as her. read more
