I went in to have breakfast before starting my errands. I ordered the corned beef with eggs and potato cakes. After a couple of bites, I stopped to take a picture of my meal. The corned beef was cooked perfectly and the potato cakes were crispy and savory. The show stopper (literally) for me were the eggs. I always order eggs over medium, this is the ONLY time anyone has gotten it right, not just right but perfect! When Julissa came by to check on me I told her, "Whoever you have cooking in the back is doing it so right!" She smiled and said she'd let Jordani know. She went to the back to let him know and I could hear them cheering Jordani on. In a time where the service industry is being criticizedfor being mediocre, it was refreshing to see a team actually care about what they're putting out. Cameron and Jordani provided the best service I've had in months! They made my experience memorable. TooJays has one of the most overlooked and underrated Chopped Caesar Salad Wraps in Orlando. For less than $20 you get a GIGANTIC wrap with your choice of a side, and is definitely shareable. I haven't been to a Too Jays since I've been in Orlando. I've always heard good things, and I finally got the chance to try it out today. We went with a group of friends and they go pretty regularly. The vibe is really chill and I had a really good time. We all just relaxed and felt like we could just relax and hang out together. The restaurant was clean and our server was very friendly and jovial. She helped us feel relaxed and welcome. I had an everything bagel, swiss and egg sandwich. It was SO good. The bagel had that lovely chewy texture every good bagel should have. It was such a rich and filling sandwich. Also, it came with a side so I chose grits! They were rich and they were creamy too! I have been going to TooJay's as long as I have been visiting Florida and it's always a must on my visits here. This was another very good visit. I was somewhat skeptical upon arr\val as the host Carlos seemed out of sorts. It took a while for him to get us a table for a party of 5. \He got a seated finally and we sat quite awhile before any acknowledgment. The waitress did come by and let us know she would be there shortly. Once she was engaged she did an excellent job. The restaurant is your typical TooJay's and not over or under the top for decor and vibe. Now to the food and it was just as good as ever. We had Matzo ball soup, Latkes and corned beef sandwich. It is Saturday Jan 30th 2026. I write this review as I am still on hold to speak to a manager 13 minutes now & counting. I ordered Shepherds Pie as one of my dishes for take away; in fact, ordered several items at 4:00 pm. Imagine our surprise after paying $18.89 for shepherds pie which came with a cup of soup, the incredibly TINY portion. SERIOUSLY? And I can't even get anyone to come back t the phone. After over two years, my family, and I returned to this location to try it out again. The time away has not changed anything except for the prices, which have increased. For lunch service we were there for nearly 2 hours. My wife had to send her eggs back twice to be cooked properly. The second time, our server had to take matters into his own hands and cook them on the griddle himself to ensure that they were cooked properly. The gravy for our biscuits and gravy was cold. And overall, our food was simply meh. I am not certain what I was expecting, with the bar being so low. However, we didn't even reach the bar on this visit. I am not sure if it's the front of the house, or the back of the house. Or just an issue with the entire location. When Toojay's was suggested for a Sunday breakfast, I realized I hadn't been to any of their locations for over a decade. While many things have stayed the same, I was fascinated by their wine pairings in the new to me menu. Who knew? I decided to keep it simple with the 2 egg breakfast (comes with bacon, home fries, and a bagel with garden cream cheese) and was pleasantly surprised. I love TooJay's. It's one of my go to comfort place for food, but I have to say that this location leaves a little bit more to be desired than the other two in central Florida. I've been to now the parking is great, but I tend to find out the customer service no matter what time of day you go you're standing around waiting to be seated then when you get your food, it's usually cold and this has happened to me on more than one occasion, and the staff always seem to be overburden almost like it's not enough of them working the floors a little bit slippery in the front portion and I noticed this on more than one occasion as well so I don't know if it's how they mop or what they use as a product. The bathrooms are decent. The food is not up to regular two standards but it's not terrible either. I've learned that if I wanna get something from them, it's best to get it to go because my sitdown service has not been that great at this location. read more

It was fluffy and really good chocolate that was layers on the top. I wish the banana cream was slightly stronger in banana flavor. I enjoyed the nuts around the outside of the cake. I would like to try the coconut cake the next time. One thing I would change is the cleanliness. I did not walk into the main seating area, however, the counter tops behind the to-go counter looked filthy. There was some equipment up there that looked like it had old food on it. The sink had old rags and pieces of equipment piled in. This is a turn off. read more

I came here for a work lunch and I unfortunately wasn't very wowed by this place. Which is a shame because I really enjoy their food! It wasn't very busy to begin with in the restaurant, but the place was clearly understaffed with servers. One girl came to take our drink orders but we didn't actually get anything brought out until the server finally came over and took our orders. In the middle of our order she shouted across the dining room for another person to greet her table because she was busy. I ordered the grilled cheese and added on bacon, tomato, and avocado on challah bread! It was nicely portioned and super tasty! The bacon was crispy and the avocado only elevated the grilled cheese that much more! It came with fries which were good as well, and coleslaw. It's been a long time since I've eaten at Too Jays as they are in Florida. I was excited to try a sandwich and my favorite one is a Reuben. This was large enough to share and that was almost too much splitting it. The sandwich comes with a dill pickle, coleslaw and fries. This sandwich was spot on and delish down to the last bite. I also tried the Reuben, sub turkey and cheddar cheese, and it was very good! It comes with 2 sides. My father-in-law comes to this location literally 3 times a week, and for good reason! Ok we came in and waited almost 10 min to be seated and the place was empty. Seems like they are extremely low staffed. We stayed cause ya know it happens, and we are hungry. We were the only customers in the waiting area, eat in or take out. Staff walked past us at the Hostess Station for 5+ minutes, busboy finally tried to seat us right in front of the restroom, there appeared to be about 5-6 other tables unoccupied. He cleared, NOT wiped the table, where we were seated. Slow forward to the waitress saying our order was being "Expidited" after 20 minutes of our order being placed. We waited about 10+ more minutes. Our order was 1 Rueben and 1 corned beef sandwich! ........At a DELI !! We were there for an hour in a "not busy" restaurant. Just left the restaurant-it was the most frustrating experience. We waited 20 minutes for anyone to seat us. We waited another 20 minutes for our server to come to our table. Quickly ordered drinks and food to take advantage of the waitress appearing at our table. Food arrived, lukewarm, another 40 minutes later (after we asked our waitress about the order) On the way out, we stopped to get chicken soup for a sick friend. Encountered an incredibly rude counter person. It's hard to think that anyone who would talk to a customer in the way he talked to us could sustain employment. They must be pretty desperate for staff. And doing a very poor job of a customer service. I used to like coming to Two Jays. We have been loyal Toojay's customers for a very long time -- from locations in South Florida to nearly every location in Central Florida. Unfortunately, this most recent experience was so bad that it will likely be our last. We had already stopped going to the Ocoee location due to poor staffing and frequent order mistakes, but we decided to give the Orlando location a try while meeting a family member. Big mistake. While the service was unfriendly (but tolerable), the food quality was downright unacceptable. My $28 entrée looked like an $8 plate from Waffle House -- rubbery, poorly plated, and visually unappetizing. To make matters worse, all three of us became sick with gastro issues shortly after, which raises serious concerns about the sanitary conditions. Those concerns were reinforced by what we witnessed in the dining room: tables being "cleaned" by pushing debris onto the floor and resetting them for the next guests. Staff members were even eating behind the bakery counter when we arrived -- an unpleasant and unprofessional first impression. I spent nearly $100 (with tip) for three people. I have no issue with price increases over the years, but the quality, freshness, and presentation should justify the cost -- and they simply don't anymore. This was disappointing on every level. Toojay's used to be a place we could count on. Sadly, this visit made it clear that its standards have dropped dramatically. read more

Recently I stopped by for lunch and ordered The Rachel. It's a pastrami sandwich with added coleslaw, Swiss cheese and sauce. The sandwich was piled high with pastrami and tasted delicious. They steam the meat which is not my favorite way to prepare it but it was still delicious. I like pastrami heated on a flat grill so that it has crispy edges. I had it served on rye bread with a side of hot French fries. I admittedly also ate some of their potato salad as well. It's so good and hard to pass up. My wife and I have not been here in a long time. We would come to this location once a week when we lived in Winter Park but we Moved to the East Florida Coast. This Sunday we made it over there an did the Beef Brisket Dip. Mag was a wonderful server! She was at the table shortly after sitting down. Our food was hot and drinks cold just the way you like it. TooJays I so miss your Waterford Lakes location! TooJays is a great Jewish deli + northeast diner experience. A pretty much from scratch kitchen with tons of homey foods, deli sandwiches, soups, and specials. I would never say this place is as good as what it's trying to be but wow it's pretty good for where it is (Florida). Service is always great and the wait staff is always taking care of you. That's great waitstaff and great management to get this right. For those long time TJ people, they definitely changed their chicken soup recipe over covid. Pre-covid it was super fresh and tons of dill with carrots and celery. Then during covid they kind of just threw together a soup and it was not good. Now, they have more of a traditional chicken soup spices and more cooked down instead of fresh. it's great too. Their corned beef and pastrami are still really good. A touch too fatty for my tastes but legit none the less. Last, they really need to up their chicken tender game. They aren't bad but not really good either. I could easily understand why the TooJay's Deli * Bakery * Restaurant in Waterford Lakes closed. They had suffered from inconsistencies for years, but towards the end, they were definitely more miss than hit. In fact, that last year or so, it was almost always a swing and a miss. Look, not every time can be a home run, but at least an occasional single rather than repeated strikeouts would be nice. Anyway, this particular visit to this particular location was a generally positive experience. TooJay's Deli * Bakery * Restaurant has never been my favorite deli, not even my favorite deli in Florida, but it was generally pretty good. My go-to at any TooJay's Deli * Bakery * Restaurant has been their Rueben. A Rueben has been my go-to at most delis. Here, it was good. All in all, I will give this location four stars. read more

What a great meal! This is one of my comfort food favorite local chains. They have many options that should please just about anyone. Some of my favorites are their deli meats (which I stay away from now, but their pastrami and corned beef were good), their salads (i.e. chicken, egg, shrimp) and their deli "Trios" where you pick 3 and get a slew of items to go along with it. I used to get an everything bagel as my bread, but now have been getting their rye. That's just a carb management thing as I'd totally rather have their bagel. I miss the 80's when carbs were great! Mrs. S goes here specifically for their matzo ball soup which she just loves. We also enjoy their potato pancakes with sour cream and applesauce (I know, but it's good). They have killer stuffed cabbage too. I can't say I recall getting anything here I didn't like. And don't forget the desserts! Ever since our local TooJay's in Waterford Lakes closed, I've been jonesing for some matzo ball soup. We finally decided to go visit the next closest location on Colonial near the mall. It looked like it might have been closed with the sign lights out, but luckily they were indeed open and we could enjoy my favorites I've been missing. Everything at this location was the same quality and just what I was used to at their other location so they definitely have their stores delivering consistent products which is nice. The service was good and I left wondering why I've waited so long to leave the area to go get my dang matzo ball soup. I even took some home for later. ;) read more
