    Tony's Combo

Pizza was delicious!! Great buttery crust and cheese was great quality. Good amount of toppings too.

    Slice from the "Large" pizza
    What W.

To start the prices are ridiculous. We paid 35 for a "Large" combo pizza. The pizza is really a medium. Chicken strips and wedges were both undercooked and overpriced- 16. The chicken strip looked and tasted like frozen strips from the market. The server didnt bring the food to our table. We were the only ones here. When he called me to get the pizza at the front counter he handed me a hot pan of pizza thus burning myself. Would highly recommend to not come. Its getting a 2 star review instead of a 1 star because the pizza was decent.

    8 wings and beer

I dropped by for some wings. I ordered the 8 piece hot wings, 3 piece chicken strips with potato wedges, and a glass streets of Bakersfield beer. Everything tasted good. I shared with a friend and had leftovers to take home. Total cost was about $35. I came during a weekday, so the service was quick and the employees were courteous. The place was clean, and I got my food in a short period of time after ordering. They have a separate area where the bar was and a TV on for entertainment. There's plenty of free parking since it's a mall.

    Small combo

Me and the wife ate lunch here while at the outlets. Not many options but even if there was this is a solid choice. This restaurant was much larger than I expected. It's about the same size as a freestanding pizza parlor. They do have a bar. Not sure if full bar or just beer and wine. The staff were very friendly. We shared a small combo and breadsticks. The small was pretty good size and had 8 decent size slices. The pizza was better than average for sure. They packed on the toppings and the crust was very good. Also was not greasy at all. The breadsticks were much better than I was anticipating. The order came with about 10. While not the best pizza I've ever had it was better than mountain mikes or round table to me. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was very nice inside. Cost was about the same as a round table. Pizza breadsticks and drink ram me 30 but fed me and wife and had leftovers. I will definitely eat here again if I'm ever at these outlets again.

Carnitas pizza. A bit burnt and dry.

My husband had tried a Tony's Pizza a bit further up north but he insisted that we hit this spot on our way home from checking out the super bloom in Carrizo National Monument. It's located in the strip mall and this place was freaking packed when we got here. We called about 20 minutes ahead to place in a pick up order, and that was a smart call. The pizza was pricey. We paid $70 for two pizzas, and it was OK.

Pizza was excellent as always! Just the guy behind the counter seemed he didn't like his job and appeared lazy.

I customized my pizza with half mild red sauce and half spicy red sauce, topped with cheese, chicken, spinach, and pineapple. Then I drizzled a little BBQ sauce before baking and finished it off with a bit of ranch on top, absolute game changer. The pizza came out amazing. The balance of flavors was on point: savory, sweet, a little spicy, and super satisfying without being overwhelming. Shoutout to the employee working there, incredibly helpful and genuinely nice. He even hooked me up with a Mike's Hot Honey packet to try, and wow... he was right. A little goes a long way, and it added the perfect sweet heat to the slice. Finished the meal with a Reese's cookie. Didn't even need to eat the whole thing,I was already fully satisfied, which says a lot. Even if you offer to pay. Example: No double pepperoni allowed. Pepperoni and sausage? No problem. Just not two servings of pepperoni. That's crazy talk. Another one: No extra cheese... if it's the same type of cheese. If it's different types, all good. So double mozzarella? No. But mozzarella, shredded cheese, parm? All good, baby! Never had inventory get in the way of adding toppings to a pizza. But here we are. Next time I'm driving down to LA I'll remember to pack extra pepperoni. ‍‍ Great pizza. The server was polite and seated me quickly since it wasn't very busy. I ordered an omelet, assuming it would be one of the quickest and simplest items to prepare. Instead, it took 40 minutes to arrive. Honestly, if I were at home, I could go to the grocery store, buy the ingredients, prep, cook the omelet, and clean up in that same amount of time. It was surprising--and frustrating--that it took so long, especially after I had to follow up to get my food. The omelet itself was very basic. They chopped and mixed avocado directly into it as a topping, which was unusual since most places serve it on the side. It was also extremely bland--no salt or pepper at all. The vegetables inside were lightly seasoned and had an okay texture, but nothing memorable. The hash browns were the worst I've ever had: slightly raw, oily, and soft. That's especially disappointing considering I cook frozen hash browns at home and they've never turned out this bad. The toast was fine and adequately buttered. I genuinely feel bad for the locals who eat here and, by doing so, encourage the business to keep serving subpar food to new customers. I won't be dining at any Black Bear Diner again--I'd rather get Panda Express or go to the Denny's across the street.
