This is the place to bring your BMW, Audi, Mercedes, or any other foreign car and you won't be disappointed. I have been bringing my 528xi here for repairs and oil changes since I bought it 4 years ago and I recommend them highly for all cars. I have never had a problem with them and they also have loaner cars to use which I thought was cool because while my car was getting repaired I still was able to drive a car and it was a BMW. They are also very astute as they found that as they were repairing one thing they found that my water pump was going to die and I was very thankful they told me and were able to fix it and a gasket that was leaking which they also found during the initial repair. Our Service B came up in our Mercedes GL450, Having owned this car for only a year, we were almost programed in going back to the local MB dealer for routine service.. After speaking with the service dept... and listening to what the service covers, anyone with any common sense!! can figure out that your being charged $600 for a glorified Oil Change!!!! (The fact that they list inspecting your interior and exterior lights, doors and locks..)). common the car is new there should be no problems and if so that's why its under warranty.. I heard of Tony's through a MB forum and not being local to Manchester I gave them a shot.. We are more than pleased with their service, professionalism and the ability to get the vehicle in around our schedule. They performed a very thorough inspection of the drivetrain, brakes, suspension they rotated our tires and changed the oil. (all the items that matter) I know sometimes we are hesitant in not taking our newer cars back to the dealer, or maybe we think we HAVE TOO for warranty purposes but that is not required... 100% dishonest. They had my Mercedes for a week to have one specific repair done. Then they called and said to come pick it up, they couldn't fix it, even though it was a common M-Benz repair. They then extorted $150 diagnostic charge, or I couldn't take the car! Unbelievable. Stay away. read more

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Tony's. A few months my back my partner was driving back to MA from NYC in a 2004 VW and about halfway back white smoke started to come out of the tailpipe. She pulled off and called me from the road (I was still in MA at this point). Given that this was on a Sunday and she was still a few hours from home we were scrambling for options. We both called around and got a hold of another shop in the area (I truly wish I could remember their name to advise you never to go there), but needless to say the advice of that shop was "It sounds like a cracked engine block." I asked that shop if my partner could drop it off and they could look at it on Monday when they were open for business? He said no, it's a 2004 car it's not worth my time and I don't want it on my lot. I asked what he recommended doing and he said to tow it back to MA to get it junked. That tow job alone was fast approaching the $1000 marker and made no sense regardless of the situation. It would have been cheaper for me to drive down to CT to junk it myself than tow it back to MA, but he wasn't hearing it and was incredibly rude on the phone to both myself and my partner. Instead of eating nearly a grand and towing it back to MA we found a friend that lived just up the road from Tony's in Manchester, CT and had AAA tow the car that for the night. I drove down from MA to sort things out the following day and brought the car to Tony's. They were incredibly polite and accommodating. They got the car right in because I had driving a few hours from out of town and taken the day off from work to handle this. I told them about the other shop and I immediately jumped to how I could junk the car that day if I needed to. They asked a few questions and said that it really might not be a cracked engine block and they'd like to look at it before making any recommendations. A few hours of work later they had actually fixed the problem. It wasn't a cracked engine block at all, but rather a cracked dipstick tube that was causing oil to drip onto the engine and create the white smoke out of the tail pipe. All in all it was a few hundred dollars worth of repairs, which was much better than the cracked engine block I was expecting that would have totaled the car easily. I can't recommend Tony's enough for their thoroughness, timeliness, and patience in dealing with this entire ordeal. read more

I recently moved to the area and had Tony's take a look at my car that was having AC troubles. When I first brought it to them they drained a clogged AC which had been leaking onto my passenger floor for a week or so. When they gave it back to me the AC didn't work. I brought it back to them and they said the blower motor resistor needed to be replaced. They ended up just charging me the $90 for the part and they did NOT charge me for the labor. Never again. First review I have ever written but I could not let this go. I was foolish enough to take my car back to Tony's. If you want to be taken advantage of, have unnecessary work done and spend double your mortgage payment every time, Tony's is the place for you. I work with clients for a living. Victor is rude. He has zero customer service and people skills. He will be nice at first but it doesn't take long for the real Victor to show up. Learned my lesson. read more

Was on a trip between NYC and Boston, and my car was making a strange sound. Stopped at another shop who diagnosed, but don't work on BMW's so they sent me to Tony's. They were GREAT. Took it in immediately, fixed the problem (rock stuck between the rotor and something - what do I know?) within 20 minutes, and charged me only $30 and sent me on my way. I went to Tony's because AAA backed the shop. My gas tank had been vandalized and Tony lied to me and got rid of the tank because he didn't want to deal with insurance agents. Then he used unauthorized parts on my Toyota Land Cruiser and charged more than the genuine parts I had specifically requested. When I reported him to the state he and his son lied, destroyed evidence and threaten me physically. He damaged the steering wheel housing by doing work I didn't authorize and charged me for. The bill was $2500 when It should have been $1,000. Beware, especially if you are a woman. read more

So here's the thing...my 22yr old son took his car to Tony's on a co worker's recommendation. Failed engine based on timing belt displacement. Work needed equals a engine replacement. So my son goes to get estimate, it went from $200 to $250 which he pays but estimate was still not availalble. We decided that the repairs will have to wait since $3200.00 (that were told verbally) that it would cost to repair was not readily available. I went with my son to pick the car up and have it towed. This is the response that I got when I asked the service rep what exactly was done to diagonois the car repair. "I gave the papers to the mechanic, but I didn't stand there and watch him it took him 3 hours" Me: I'm asking because I've never gone to a mechanic that asked for a diagnostic fee, they usually take a look and come back with a price to fix and it seems like your dignostic fee is expensive. A fellow employee then steps up to say that he knows the mechanic looked at the belt and the heads but did not remove the engine as that would take too long". At this point the owner steps into the conversation, identifies himself as the owner and ask's me "If you go to the doctor, do you have to pay him" I replied yes, I pay my co pay, he replies with "Then the insurance covers the rest" I reply that I pay for the insurance. He then says "I pay my mechanics a decent wage to have a decent living, you don't think you should pay, my mechanic spent 1 1/2 hour on this car) I reiterate that I had a right to questions the bill and that I was told he spent 3 hours on the car. The OWNER: responds with "If you don't understand, I can tell you you in your language" I replied what language is that? He replies "I can tell you in English" with the biggest (S***eater) grin on his face. I feel I should mention I grew up in the states so I don't have an accent. I do however look spanish, though I'm not. At this point I realize there is no point to the conversation other than it becoming very ugly. To date, I have not received the estimate of the repair because it might cost more to get the engine later on. At lease that was what I was told by the service rep. Further, I 've never posted a review, but felt too strongly about this particular incident not to do so.
