It was a rough winter for my car. Two separate accidents, neither of which I was actually in the car for. State Farm had Tony's Auto Collision on their list of pre-approved repair facilities so I figured I'd give this place a shot. I was pleasantly surprised by how thorough the inspector was in reviewing the damage to my car. He also noticed a not so perfect job by the previous owner to clean up damage around another part of the car. Good eyes! I dropped my car off on another day when the parts came in (about a week later) to the shop. Now here's where the fun began. It took three weeks and multiple phone calls on my part to figure out when my car would be finished. Why do I have to call every week to figure out what's going on with my car? The damage to my car was not as severe (fender benders), so the lack of communication really bothered me. Thankfully I had another car, but if I had to pay for a rental car for that long, I would have been pissed off. In the end, I finally got my car back in tip top shape, and I guess that's what ultimately matters. I just wish I didn't have to harass the folks here to get a straight answer and a status update. read more

Absolute garbage. I got in an accident, my insurance company listed them as a repair shop in my area. The reviews were decent so I brought it in. After three weeks of it being in the shop they told me it was done. Picked up my jeep and something didn't feel right. Took a look under the vehicle and they only fixed the body and bumpers, didn't even check under the car. I still had bent parts underneath, the front passenger tire was rubbing against the frame. I took it back, furious with them and the adjuster said, "well the way you described the accident and from the damage we say we didn't think there were any mechanical issues. THATS WHY I COME TO YOU, SO YOU CAN LOOK THE WHOLE VEHICLE OVER BECAUSE YOU ARE THE PROFESSIONALS. Well they took it back and "fixed it" again. Started driving and noticed now the vehicle had a death wobble. This time I took it to a buddy of my who works on cars and we both looked at it. The track bar bolts on one side was only hand tight. This is one of the most unprofessional repair companies I've ever dealt with and will not be going back. Do yourself a favor and go to a shop that will get it right the first time. So it doesn't cost your more time and money than necessary. read more

This is the second time I brought my Jeep here as I had the unfortunate luck of hitting a deer this year and being involved in a hit and run in the past. Both times, Tony's provided excellent service! They are upfront with the detailed work and quickly inform you of when your car will be ready. They work well with your insurance company and return your car as good as new complete with a detailed cleaning of the interior and exterior. Horrible experience. They work with the insurance company to scam you out of money. They were paid to fix my bumper and grill but they left it damaged and unrepaired and the insurance company will say that you were not specific enough about where the damages were. Do not bring your car here. They did not inspect my vehicle properly before taking it for a road test and ended up damaging my car further. This has to be one of the worst experiences of my life. I had my car here for over a month and after 3 days of having it back it started squealing. I brought it in and they tell me they don't know how to fix it!? They let me take my vehicle with brake issues. I drive my son around in this car, this place does not care about the consumer. I received very Unreliable service at this shop. I advise anyone looking to bring their car in to go elsewhere. It is now a month after receiving my car and it is now inoperable. I am currently in my second go 'round with Tony's after getting hit this morning in a busy intersection. The first time was when a driver rear-ended me on the Kennedy. Though I have bad luck with Chicago drivers, I have had extraordinary luck finding Tony's. They stayed open an hour late to accept my car after State Farm screwed up and instructed the tow truck to go to an entirely different place. (FYI - They have their own 24 hour towing service that will work out much better!) They even offered to give me a ride home when State Farm screwed up AGAIN on my rental car. I'm so thankful that their kindness made a difficult morning a little better. My car was fixed in a timely manner and at a reasonable price last time, so I expect the same service this time. I could not recommend Tony's Auto Center highly enough. I have had two experiences with them over the last 3 years. Both times, they have exceeded my expectations on quality of work, time to delivery and price The two times I have been in a collision have both been on country roads (one with an in attentive driver who hit me and most recently in January - a deer collision). Because I have just one car and need to cart kids to school and get to work the convenient location of this shop is also key (orange line stop). From start to finish, everything was as expected. Wei did a very accurate estimate and he was able to schedule the work after parts arrived. This minimized my time without a car which helped out greatly. They delivered the car on time and in excellent repair. I recently discovered that in order to replace my headlight lamps in my car that the whole front bumper needed to be removed. It was suggested that I call a body shop to obtain an estimate as it would probably be less expensive than the dealer. So I contacted Tony's and explained my situation. At first they were a little hesitant because this was somewhat of an unusual and small job. However, Wade assisted me in taking care of this problem with no problem...I mean generally a headlight bulb replacement is something simple to do usually. This place has poor customer service. I wanted an estimate on several scratches on car doors and the girl at the desk offered an appointment for the following week? I stated that I didn't want to wait that long for just an estimate. She spoke to her manager and he said he'd be out in a couple minutes. 5 minutes later he arrogantly walked right past me didn't even acknowledge that I was waiting on him. I then was happy to leave.
