A standard bitewing X-ray didn't provide adequate imaging to diagnose the cause of the infection that was present. I was quickly scheduled at this office, and seen within just a few days of being referred. Dr. Rosenbaum was very attentive and focused throughout my exam, and clearly explained what the cone beam scan indicated. (The tooth was cracked and needed to be extracted. He also offered his opinion that there was no need for an expensive implant to replace the tooth - which I really appreciated.) I received a referral to an oral surgeon, and as it turned out, I could be seen by that practice within 24 hours due to a cancellation. North Shore provided same-day turnaround in getting me a copy of my scan, and helped me to coordinate this with the oral surgeon's office. Bravo! I am very appreciative of the professionalism and efficiency of this team, and have no hesitation in recommending them.

One of the first things that Dr Gary has told me before was that you should never go to a dentist that personally does the teeth cleanings themself. The hygienist should be the one taking care of that because it's specialized. This office has a great staff who are always kind and welcoming, they know my family by name and always ask about how we're doing. They take the time to get to know you, not just take care of your teeth. I like the personalized experience. They recently updated their imaging equipment to digital decreasing the radiation exposure by half of the standard machines (I guess they listen because when I first started with them years ago - I told them I really didn't want to get zapped by radiation so often - so if they could make do with the existing x-rays from my dental record transfer). The digital scan revealed some wear and decay on a tooth that my previous dentist filled - but never showed up on lower resolution scans before. We cleared that up on the next visit a week later - quick and fast and without pain. My experience has always been good with this practice - they are professionals, personable and welcoming. I explained that the Saturday appointment option was important to me because I can't take time off work. They said they were happy to schedule me for the next Saturday appointment...which was EIGHT months away. That means that you DON'T really offer Saturday appointments once a month. So stop promising them to your prospective customers. And take the option off your website too. Now I'm in search of a new dentist again... Since the end of the pandemic, I have been going to Northbrook Dental Care for hygiene…read moreappointments. My daughter and husband have been going there for many years before I did. Dr. Jay Rodgers is the owner, and he has a team of nice and skillful hygienists and technicians. I have been happy with my hygienist Hallie, who's very kind, skillful, and accommodating. She has excellent memories of what I like and don't like, making each appointment pleasant and successful. I have been waiting for some dental work to be done by Dr. Rodgers before I write a review. Now is the time! I used to think that Dr. Rodgers was a person of no-nonsense. Every time he would quickly check my teeth, recommended what needs to be done, and then hurried into another patient's room. However, I found out from the recent experience that he is actually very kind and compassionate, and is also very respectful of my choices. The dental work was pretty "complicated", which involved removal of an old crown that was done by another dental practice years ago, but it was not done right back then, and he detected decay developed inside. He would then install two new crowns, one to the adjacent tooth that was prepared by another practice a long time ago. There was an old filling to be replaced as well. I called Dr. Rodgers' office with questions, one of his receptionists, Dianka, is always very nice and helpful, she had Dr. Rodgers call me back after his appointments. He called me back and spent 15 minutes patiently answering all my questions and explaining everything that needed to be done. I was impressed. The dental work involved 3 appointments, with the second appointment being the main one and was the longest, like 2 to 3 hours long, with breaks. Dr. Rodger's assistant, Erika, was very kind and professional too. Dr, Rodger was(is) very skillful, professional, and kind, and actually checked on me several times to make sure that I was doing fine and comfortable. His chair-side manners were just excellent. Although dental work is no fun to be sure, I didn't feel any pain or discomfort. I could even eat an hour later! The most important thing is, the crowns look so good and natural that even my husband and daughter could not tell which ones were crowns. They both guessed the canine. No, that was wrong. I am so happy with the results! I will not hesitate to see Dr. Rodgers and his team for future dental work. Next time, I will not be losing any sleep before the appointments, as I know that I am in good hands!

I always felt at ease at this practice. Dr. Rodgers is the only dentist there and he is the owner. He has a great team of hygienists, who are all very friendly and professional. My hygienist is always very prompt, thorough, and makes sure that I leave the clinic with a shiny smile. Whenever Dr. Rodgers checked on my teeth, he has been very professional and informative. I felt fortunate every time he (and my previous dentists) marveled at me still having all 32 teeth without any cavities. About a year ago, I accidentally bit very hard on a bone and one of my lower front teeth became loose, which I could wiggle it with my fingers. I thought the tooth would come off and I went to see Dr. Rodgers on an emergency basis. Surprisingly, he told me not to worry about it after checking on the tooth. He is right - a year later, my tooth still sits tightly in its socket and is now back to normal. I like the overall experience at Northbrook Dental Care, and highly recommend it.

Worst root canal ever. I had to go to Dr. Cua twice and she still didn't get it right. The first…read moreattempt she missed a root. On the second attempt she did God knows what but I was still in pain. She then recommended that I have the tooth pulled because the root was "fractured." Thank God I got a second opinion. I went to Best Endodontics in Glenview. Dr. Rogers took one 3D image and told me that Dr. Cua had left a portion of the root unfilled at the bottom. He filled it and within 48 hours I was pain free. I ended up paying for two root canals but at least I still have my tooth!
