This is by far the most expensive dentist practice I have been too. But it was an emergency and they do good cosmetic work. Its the regular dentistry stuff that's a joke. When I try to schedule a cleaning they are booked 4 months out. So it didnt happen. Today I called to schedule a cleaning again because the last time I saw them I was told to schedule it. But now they are saying I have to come back again for an assessment and x rays(more $$$$$) and then they can finally schedule the cleaning after that visit. Except they're booked through July currently. So here we go again. Expensive but good place for cosmetics. Horrible place for regular care. Youre better off developing a relationship with a more traditional dentist practice that can actually see its clients. read more

I was referred to Dr. Hartlieb by another doctor when I needed a 25+ year old bridge replaced. Dr. Hartlieb worked with my periodontist and orthodontist to see out a multiple year treatment plan. The final work came out very nicely. I'm especially pleased with the way he attached the bridge. The set-up allows me to floss by the bridge without having to use a threader in a small space. I had my first partial crown with Dr. Christopher Ching. It was a great experience. I was pleased to learn that they create the crown onsite instead of sending it to a lab. I was at the office for 3 hours which was more convenient than getting a temporary and coming back in 2 weeks. Dr. Ching explained the process and was extremely knowledgeable and comforting. I didn't feel any pain, was able to walk around and drink water in between the crown fittings, and watched tv with headphones. I have gone to the office for about 40 years I never questioned their pricing or their recommendations until now. I had a chipped tooth - I was quoted $2500 to fix- I went for a second opinion to highly recommended dentist and he fixed it and said it was so lightly chipped - the bill $170. I then asked how much a cleaning was - yep almost 50% less - I am so disappointed how taken advantage I was and everyone who does to the practice. Lesson learned - moving on! read more

So first, a bit of a background: when I was about 6 or 7 years old, I chipped one of my front teeth playing with things I should not have been playing (dumbbells--gravity--mouth). The damage wasn't too severe as my dentist was able to fix it right up with some bonding on the two front teeth. I was told the bonding would not last, however, and that I would one day need to have it redone. I kept that in the back of my mind and went about my business for the next 20+ years. Fast forward to summer 2016. I had just moved to the Milwaukee area for a new job. I'm eating dinner one night and the bonding chips. Ok, no big deal, I just need to call up a dentist...but who? I wanted somebody who could not only do bonding, but somebody who could do it well -- the original bonding was never 100% to my liking so I wanted to make sure it was done right this time around. I ended up picking Dr. Hartlieb based largely on reviews, his AACD credentialing and experience with bonding. It would be a bit of a drive for me coming in from Milwaukee but I was convinced he was the best person for the job. During my first visit, Dr. Hartlieb performed a complete oral exam, took some pictures, and went over my treatment options. First off, I would need to redo the bonding on my two front teeth. Ok, I was expecting that. But then he also proposed something a little more interesting: how would I feel about lengthening and bonding my other upper front teeth? Up until this point in my life, I had never really considered cosmetic dentistry; the closest thing I had considered was orthodontic treatment as I had gaps between my teeth, but the time commitment and lifelong retainer-wearing thing always discouraged me. I was a bit uncertain, as it sounded like a lot of work, but Dr. Hartlieb took an impression of my existing teeth, mocked up what the new ones would look like, and showed me what he was talking about. Wow, what a transformation! I honestly had no idea my smile could ever look THIS good. Convinced that he knew what he was doing, we scheduled the necessary appointments and got started. Over the next several months, I returned several times -- once to work on the gums, a couple times for teeth whitening, and then a few more times for the final bonding. Each time, Dr. Hartlieb and his entire team were patient, thorough, and super attentive, even when I quibbled over tiny little details. Dr. Hartlieb was happy to work with me -- repeatedly, and in great and painstaking detail -- until everything was perfect. When all was said and done, I was thrilled with the result. I finally had a perfect, beautiful smile! I have since received many compliments on my new smile from new friends and old friends alike. A new acquaintance had this to say: "You either had the best orthodontist ever or you were incredibly lucky genetically." To this, I can only smile and answer confidently that I have found the best cosmetic dentist ever -- and he's at CB Smiles. read more

I have waited a year and a half to write this review. That's how long it took to correct the most bulky unnatural composite veneers that Dr. Hartleib gave me. I looked like I had big thick Bugs Bunny teeth and my natural teeth were quite small anything but that! I was told by dentists, family and friends that my new teeth were too large for my delicate features and small mouth and just as bad even way whiter than I had asked for and then they began to chip on biting surface weeks after I had them done. He said he had to do many "thin" layers so they would be "stronger" His assistant E obviously knew he did a poor job and was speechless the entire time. I sat in chair watching her forced smile and couldn't help but notice veneers just as overpowering as mine wondering if he did hers too! The receptionist S seems irritable and on edge as if she doesn't want to be there. She was very condescending when I asked to schedule an appointment to file them down thinner. They were literally more than twice as thick as my natural teeth were. FINALLY I found the best dentist in Chicago who turned my frown upside down and gave me the most natural looking composite veneers. She filed down all the unnecessary bulky layers Dr. Hartleib had piled on and used a much softer color. I've wasted thousands but learned a valuable lesson. read more

My previous fillings on my front teeth were discolored, which I was very self conscious about. Having filling done on my front teeth before, I know how much the numbing injections can hurt, but Dr. Patel's technique is painless!!
