If your wanting healthy guilt free food this is the place to go. It's a cute little cafe on the Lisburn Road serving breakfast, brunch, speciality teas & coffee and healthy snacks. Staff are friendly and efficient making sure you have everything you need. The decor is raw yet cosy with a bright seating area at the front and a cosier dimmly lit area at the back where you can watch the chefs cooking. The hot drinks menu is pretty extensive with some lovely options such as bulletproof coffee and a coffee served with coconut ice cream in it. When I visited I was struggling with a nasty head cold so I chose from their smoothies to try and get a vitamin boost. The Greena Colada sounded like the best option for this as it was packed with spinach, pineapple, almond milk, avocado and apple. I added a portion of raspberry and lemon pancakes with this for a healthy brunch. The Colada was nice, for me it had a little too much spinach but it was drinkable. The pancakes were served as a stack and topped with freshly crushed raspberries and 2 lemon wedges. The pancakes are made with coconut flour and oats so are a different texture to your average pancake and much healthier. They were tasty but were served cold, I'm not quite sure if they were supposed to be cold though as I'd spotted them being made in the kitchen and they definitely had steam rising from them at one point. Overall this is a great place if your watching your waistline and want proper food which isn't processed and full of additives. I paid £20 for two pancake stacks, a flat white and a Colada which I thought was pretty steep. I also knocked a star off for the waiting time for food as it took nearly an hour just to get the pancakes. It's definitely worth a try though.

Need to invest in some new mugs I think.

Service so slow. Been waiting 20 mins for a cup of coffee. Disgraceful service. Will NOT be returning again.

Despite it's dinky appearance they seem to have crammed in any lotion, potion and herb you are ever likely to need. I wanna start drinking a certain type of tea or heard that Miso soup is the healthiest thing on Earth (it tastes like unhappiness)and I turn to Nutmeg. It's quite a cramped shop and they have filled it as best they can. On the left hand side is the organic, whole foods that are all sourced from Fair trade marked groups keeping with the shops ethical policy. The right hand side is for the sweet, sweet drugs. They stock all sorts of natural remedies and pick me ups straight from natures pharmacies all over the world. The staff are passionate about what they are trying to promote and can get a little on the preachy side, but its their shop after all.

Love that everything on offer is vegan and reasonably priced with a wealth of options to choose from e.g. filled wraps, bagels, salads, stews, soups, cakes and tray bakes. It's also heaven to have a choice of plant-based milks for coffee i.e. oat, almond or soy - such an improvement on offerings found at other Belfast cafes. My food was delicious and coffee flawless. In this, the age of excess hipster cafes, unfortunately it's still difficult to find good coffee, but thankfully 387 offers exceptional coffee. Additionally, this place doubles up as a health food shop with shelves, a freezer and a cooler brimming with goodies. After enjoying my coffee and food I did a mini grocery shop stocking up on vegan cheese, tofurkey slices, sausages, burgers, soups and chilli mayo. A lovely, relaxed spot with friendly, helpful staff and outside seating for sunny days. Decor is natural, focused on muted grey shades, wooden furniture, soft lighting and green plants. Everything about this cafe is synonymous with ease, relaxation and quality. I'm very glad 387 has arrived on the Belfast food scene and hope it flourishes. I will definitely be back.

DATE OF VISIT: Sunday 8 May 2016 for an evening dinner…read more MENU: Relatively good but really needing more Vegetarian and Vegan options and for these to be clearly marked on menu. There was some sort of separate nutritional sheet which also showed Vegetarian options but it's a hassle having to look at different bits of paper and would be much more user friendly just to have Veggy dishes marked with a V on the main menu. FOOD: Sharing hummus platter starter was delicious. Superfood salad fresh and mildly flavoured whilst the beetroot and falafel burger in a bread bun was a tad mushy, bland and greasy plus the sour tasting yogurt dip/sauce it was served with didn't do much to enhance the overall flavour. Side of sweet potato fries were nice and crispy but with a weird greasy aftertaste. Portion sizes were good. DRINK: Bottle of Pinot Grigio was delightfully cold, mild and easy to drink. COST: Average with total bill of £38.85 for two people. SERVICE: Faultless, pleasant and quick. RESTAURANT DECOR/ AMBIENCE: Average, nothing special or out of the ordinary. Quite a few families with kids there when we visited. IN SUMMARY: Slim's Kitchen serve good food if a bit lacking in taste and I suspect a few dishes are not as healthy as they pertain to be since some of our food tasted quite greasy. However, it's still a reasonably good restaurant for a bite to eat, just nothing exceptional. A place claiming to be healthy also really need to offer a greater range of and more clearly marked Vegetarian and Vegan meals. I would return if friends wished to dine in Slim's however it wouldn't be my personal first choice.
