Date night - Stop #1…read more Trying something new! Jazz Bar The Green Lady Lounge is an exclusively Jazz lounge featuring Kansas City Jazz musicians A little hole-in-the-wall with a cool, throwback vibe. Think speakeasy! The jazz bands were great--lively but not too loud--and we'll definitely be back. It's a perfect spot to hang out before or after dinner since they don't serve food. Even with a full house, our server checked in on us often. This two-level jazz club near downtown Kansas City was a fun find for us. We did not make it to the downstairs bar. We will save that for next time! The signage can be a little tricky to spot if you're not familiar with the area. Hummus & crackers for a snack My drinks: Mocktail - ORANGE-CRANBERRY MARTINI - Orange juice, cranberry juice, lime juice, simple syrup, grenadine, orange bitters, orange peel then I had the ETHAN ORANGE - Cold brew coffee, cinnamon simple, cream or oat milk, black walnut bitters, orange peel. Jons drinks: MANHATTAN - Rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, angostura bitters, cherry then he had a KANSAS CITY COFFEE - Rye whiskey, whiskey cream, cold brew coffee, simple syrup Total bill was only $70 We will be back! 1809 Grand Blvd, Kansas City, MO. #datenight #makingmemories #nightout #supportlocal #jazzmusic

Stopped in for date night...been wanting to try for a while. Overall, ok…read more Restaurant is casual-fun Cajun decor. Seating has booths or tables. Menu is pretty limited. I was hoping to try a Cajun entree, but those are just offered as specials. Tonight's was gumbo...but just wasn't in the mood for that. We had the Calamari, crawfish boil and a shrimp po boy with potato salad. Po boy was good...nothing to rave about. I wasn't a fan of the potato salad- just a tad dry for me. The boil was spicy, which was great...but crawfish didn't taste fresh-but was rubbery. Calamari was a little chewy for my taste. Now, our experience wasn't awful...just had better and it was a little disappointing. Our server was great! Helpful with questions, and very friendly.

Service was good and food was tasty. My hubby wanted to try the spicy pork tenderloin sandwich. I…read morehad the special: lobster ravioli with crawfish queso, which came with a drink and dessert. All in all, it was a good deal. For $16 I got two meals + dessert out of the special. Was it the best ravioli I've ever had? No, but they were good. The peanut butter dream (eaten later) was yummy. I really want to come back and try the shrimp & grits. The pork tenderloin sandwich was made fresh. It was really good. It wasn't one of those super thin, huge, flavorlessly ridiculous tenderloins. It was human size and tasty. I'd get that again myself. Prices were decent.
