To be charitable I'll start with the pros- food was good and the drinks are fine , ambiance is also cool But the service was borderline terrible We waited an hour for our entrees. The server dropped our food at a different table for a few minutes and then tried to give us the plate even though the other table had already eaten off it. They didn't even give us silverware until we asked for it after our food had arrived, I think the reason they have so many good reviews is bc they offer free shots for yelp reviews, the server also wasn't very welcoming or warm. Very attentive staff. We were greeted and seated right away . We loved how they decorated the restaurant for christmas . They even moved us shortly after to a much better lake view seat . The chips and salsa were so good we had 2 servings . We can't wait to visit again. read more

Came to Crestline for Labor Day Weekend. On Labor Day we went to the lake to go fishing and then kayaking. This restaurant is right across the street from the North Lot. We parked there all day and after kayaking just crossed the street for some drinks and desserts at Toni's after our long day at the lake. We had the deep fried ice cream and we ate that so fast we forgot to take a picture. It was really good and I highly recommend trying because they fry it with corn flakes! I also ordered the Mangoneada and my hubs got a michelada (huge proteins for both). Our server, Billy, was so welcoming and considerate from the moment we walked in. Very kind soul and was very attentive and hard working! We sat at the very front corner of the patio and I believe he really got me the best table in the house because we had the views of the lake from both angles. Toni's is a great place in Crestline for Mexican food. My husband knew about this place from his truck driving days but I had never been there. It was a chilly evening in Crestline, so we decided to eat inside. I'll warn you, the inside is very small. There are literally only about 4 small tables. So it's pretty much a no frills kind of place. However, the food is top notch and the service is great. The chips were homemade and hot and the salsa was excellent. It was really hard to stop eating them, but I made myself because I wanted to enjoy my food. Be careful. The chips and salsa are completely addictive! I ordered the taco combo and I actually dug into it before taking a picture so that's why there's only one in the photo but it comes with 2 tacos, rice and beans. I also had a house margarita which was perfect. My husband ordered the cheese enchilada combo plate and our friend ordered a wet burrito combo plate, but I was so hungry that I just dove into my food and did not take pictures of their plates, but they were really generous portions. I had the Carne Asada hard shell tacos and they were very flavorful and so good! This place has good authentic Mexican food. The wet burrito was massive. The rice was perfect and the beans topped with nicely toasted cheese were excellent. For a small indoor seating area and the large patio seating which is probably great in the spring and summer and early fall months, this is a great little find. I seriously did not expect to have great Mexican food up in Crestline, which is a very small quaint little town that seems to have a lot of fast food & pizza places but not a lot of Mexican food. If you're up in Crestline, check out Toni's Kitchen. You know I had to like it because of the name:). I don't find a lot of places that spell the name just like mine. read more
