My family and I tried this place when we were visiting the area. We did have a huge order so it took a bit longer for our food to be ready which was expected. I ordered the birria tacos with beans and rice. I just felt like the meat and rice was lacking a bit in flavor. It wasn't my favorite. I just felt like it was missing something and the beans were a bit too salty for my liking.

Flavor was seriously lacking on all of the dishes. The asada tacos were very plain and needed salt or some kind of seasoning. I thought adding salsa would help but non of the salsas were flavorful either. We shared carne asada fries amongst the family. The fries were undercooked and they were skimpy on the meat. It was mostly beans.

My burrito didn't stand a chance. Great food, lovely atmosphere and decor feel at home.

Santiago's Taco Shop is located in the same plaza as Jensen's Market with plenty of parking, specifically on the opposite side across from the Escrow building. My husband and I decided to eat a late lunch here after 2 pm two Wednesdays ago. When we came in, we were greeted by an employee behind the counter. After looking at the menu board, we ended up ordering: Chicken Bowl, $10.50 prior to tax- With this bowl, I decided to get Spanish rice, each of the different types of beans (refried, pinto and black), cooked onions and bell peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, chicken and a little bit of shredded cheese. This was plenty of food and leftovers made for a second meal. Carnitas Burrito, $10.50 prior to tax- My husband ordered this after I ordered my bowl. This burrito was massive but wasn't surprise since my bowl was already so much food. My husband could have made this into 2 meals but he stuffed himself and then threw out the leftovers he couldn't finish (I don't know why he didn't just save his leftovers like I did). -------------------------- (Total= $22.62 after tax) The portion sizes are plenty and one entrée could most likely feed 2. There is minimal seating inside if you wish to dine in. The unisex restroom was clean upon this visit and adequately stocked with the essentials. Santiago's Taco Shop is a great place to eat at if you are visiting Lake Arrowhead area and I would eat here again.

Best Mexican food on the mountain!

Santiago's is our go-to Mexican restaurant on the mountain! Great food and service, at a very reasonable price!

Tried the steak burrito and it was delicious and very kind service. I'm not in the area very often but I will stop by again.

Good food. A little pricey but nothing over the top. Service is timely, not very long waits. Usually do a pick up to take out.

When we arrived, we were told it would be a two hour wait so obviously we decided to head next-door to Rosalva 's. It's important to know that it's directly off the highway so be wary when pulling in or out of the parking. There are enough spaces for about a dozen cars, but if those spaces are full, you may have to choose another option. Inside is fairly small, but they have a large outdoor patio that is popular during the summer and warmer months. Service was very fast and the menu itself is very large. For this visit, I decided to try the Steak Wet Burrito and enjoyed it. It was a large sized portion and overall it was pretty good. It's not quite as great as you get down at sea level, but given the location I would say it's one of the best options in Lake Arrowhead for Mexican food. I would stop in again next time I am visiting and would recommend to any fan of Mexican cuisine.

It was kind of fast and came to see how we were doing every few minutes. The bad experience starts with the food, first of all the price is very expensive compared to the quality of the food, about $30 for two tacos not mention that one taco had only four little shrimps, my wife got the flautas and as soon as she got them, we noticed there were mosquitoes on the food so we returned the plate We ended up eating at a different time because of this problem we still got charged for it, nothing special on the Michelada, which is 18 bucks for only one beer and clamato At the end, we order a dessert of fried ice cream and unfortunately, another bad thing with this food a pubic hair at the bottom of the fried ice cream. It was very nasty. I decided not to complain anymore, but instead to leave a review, this is the first and last time that I'm coming to this place Another thing to point out is the bathroom is in a horrible condition, they don't take the trash out once the bin is full so there's many things that they really have to work on
