Churros with condensed milk and chocolate dipping sauces.

The staff is super nice and the place is new, very open, and clean. Everyone was so welcoming and seemed happy to be there. We really wanted to like this place because Big Bear is full of not so great tourist food. The food was pretty bland unless you put the salsas on it. The carne asada I got was so pale in color, thinly sliced, and lacked any flavor. The churros were very good and had a yummy gooey center.

I am so glad that 'the other place' didn't have a table for our group, because we walked up the street and came upon this gorgeous, spacious, newly opened restaurant: Rosa's! It is beautiful inside; once you step in, you forget you are in the mountains. The ambience and decor feel like chic LA or Newport Beach. The art pops from the walls, the ceilings are high, the furniture is on point, and the place is a gem! The staff are so warm, friendly, and fast moving; that makes you feel well tended to. The complementary chips and salsa are a fantastic entry point to the culinary experience. We had the pleasure of meeting Rosa herself; this restaurant is one of her greatest achievements; her personal passion and joy are reflected throughout the place - and in the delicious food! All of our party loved our dishes. I'd gladly go back to Rosa's for lunch or dinner! You should try it- you won't be disappointed!

Stopped in for lunch at Rosa's Mexican Restaurant, and I was seriously impressed. They're only two weeks old, but they already have everything dialed in. I was greeted immediately and seated within seconds, which set a great first impression. The wait staff was super friendly and attentive the entire time, making sure we had everything we needed. The food tasted amazing--fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for when you're craving Mexican food. Overall, I was really happy with the experience and will definitely be coming back. Excited to have a spot like this around!

WOW! This is truly one of the gems of Big Bear. My husband and I chose to eat here when I was searching for something new we haven't tried while visiting and I'm so glad we did. The atmosphere is beautiful inside they did great with the design. We sat outside because it was beautiful weather and we had the pleasure of some live music which was great! I had the guava margarita and my husband had a classic.. both tasty! We ordered esquites & guacamole off the apps and the chile Colorado for our meal to share which came with rice, beans & tortillas. Everything was so flavorful and totally hit the spot. Not to mention the service was AMAZING (hard to come by in Big Bear) everyone that passed by checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. We will absolutely be recommending to everyone and will be back again when we visit!

Great food ! Definitely need to try this out ! Everyone was so nice and friendly. I ordered Taquitos de Papa and they were yummy. ! Crispy on the outside soft on the inside . My family ordered quesabirria and even the simple rice and beans were so good

    Rosa and some beautiful margaritas!

Tried out Rosa's this weekend during our first visit to Big Bear Lake and it did not disappoint! We were recommended this place and stopped in for some cocktails. I had the poblano and tequila based cocktail which was delicious! We got to meet Rosa too who is super nice and welcoming! She gave us such great info on Big Bear! Great ambiance and very clean! Can't wait to come back and try some more! Thank you Rosa and team!

Wow!! So great to have this new restaurant in Big Bear. The first thing you notice as soon as you walk in is the decor. It's so welcoming and beautiful. I went with a group of friends to another restaurant which happened to be closed so we did a quick pivot and headed to Rosa's. And it turned out perfectly perfect! They seated all eight of us right away and quickly got us stated with drinks, chips and delicious margaritas. The wait staff was amazing. The owners were both there and double checked on us several times. Everyone was friendly, happy, and helpful. Our food was delivered hot and quickly. They refilled our salsa many times and our waters too. So many delicious things on the menu. I had the durable shrimp and it was spicy hot but not scorching hot. Just right! I will definitely be going back soon!

This place went beyond my expectations! I wasn't sure what to order, so I asked the waitress for a recommendation. She was incredibly friendly and helped me choose the quesabirria plate and I'm so glad she did. It was honestly the best quesabirria I've had in my 26 years!!! The consommé was especially impressive, rich in flavor but not greasy at all like it can be at other places. That alone made the meal a 10/10 The atmosphere was amazing, and I loved that they're pet-friendly with a beautiful outdoor patio. I'll definitely be coming back

    Carne asada fajitas
    Grace H.

The food and service was great. The carne asada was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The fajitas were nicely charred as well. This plate came with guac, sour cream, rice and beans too! Great portion. The carne asada burrito with red sauce was a solid 9/10 (per my boyfriend review). It had rice, beans, carne asada, onion, and some other stuff. The best part were tortillas. Corn and flour were both so soft with great taste. Chips were complimentary and they refilled salsa as well. Presentation was awesome too! No complaints here :) will come back

Complimentary salsa and chips provided. Our margaritas are pictured here.

If you're looking for a new local gem, this family-owned spot is something really special. We came in during a busy holiday weekend to celebrate a birthday, and from the moment we walked in, we were treated like family. You can tell this place was built with heart. The ambiance is warm and inviting. Beautiful Hispanic-inspired furnishings, cozy booth seating, and thoughtful decor that makes it feel both modern and traditional at the same time. The lighting and layout give it an intimate, welcoming vibe that's perfect for celebrations or a relaxed night out. Customer service was truly exceptional. Despite the holiday rush (and the fact that they just opened two days ago!), the staff was attentive, kind, and incredibly generous. They went out of their way to make the birthday feel special, and that level of care really stood out. The drinks were phenomenal: fresh, well-balanced, and clearly made with pride. Pair that with great music playing in the background, and the whole experience felt lively without being overwhelming. And the food? Pure comfort. Everything tasted like it came straight from a home kitchen- rich, flavorful, and made with love. You can taste the authenticity in every bite. Special shoutout to the green salsa that came with the chips easily one of the best I've had. Bright, fresh, and addictively good. It's rare to find a brand-new restaurant that already feels this polished and heartfelt. If this is how they're starting, the future is very bright. We'll absolutely be back and can't wait to bring more friends and family.

Cozy and welcoming place with nice lighting and a relaxing vibe. Great place for a casual meal with family. Our server was an Asian woman, such a delight- kind courteous and very attentive. The food was delicious. We ordered a wet burrito, camarones à la diabla, quesadillas and French fries. Let me tell you, all of us finished all and I mean all of our food. That's how good it was. The sad thing is that I forgot to take pictures.

    Guava margarita

This restaurant is amazing. They were so accommodating of us with dogs. You know when a restaurant has great chips and salsa, we have a hit. Guava marg is chefs kiss. The tacos and burritos were delicious. The staff was friendly and checked in on us often. This is our new go to Mexican food place in Big Bear!

Aguachiles with mango & salsa negra and the shrimp On the grill
    Brenda M.

Stopped by Rosa's for a quick drink. I ordered the guava margarita and it did not disappoint!! Perfectly balanced between the guava and tequila flavor! We then saw the menu and caved in for some bites. We ordered the chicharrones 10/10! Their salsa is to die for! We then ordered the shrimp on the grill and the Aguachiles! Everything was absolutely delicious! I ordered a passion fruit margarita and also the pear martini! Absolutely delicious! The bartender was our server and he was ON IT! The restaurant is clean, very beautiful, and the bathrooms are super clean too! Will definitely be returning when we come back up the mountain!

My husband got the chilaquiles, he has they were flavorful and the chips were crispy & everything was fresh. I ordered the enchiladas, the sauce was tasty and the chicken was delicious. I was worried it would be boiled chicken but the chicken had onions and good spices. The rice was so yummy!! The margarita was a good size, perfectly sweet and the chamoy rim was a yummy touch. We were the only people in the restaurant, they open at 9 & we got there at 9:03. The waitress was friendly and attentive. We will be back for their $6 Monday Margarita specials and to try other dishes. The food tasted pretty authentic and the price point was great. Chilaquiles with rice & beans $12 (+$6 for meat) Enchiladas $18 Margarita $6 (Monday special)

Perfect! The wine-based cantarito paloma was a fun twist on a classic and beautifully presented. Great balance of citrus and spice with that Tajín rim but would prefer tequila instead of the fake stuff lol JUST SAYING... Service was friendly, not too attentive but ok, the ambiance was relaxed and catered to our kiddo by putting on a movie for him that was kind of them.... A great spot in San Dimas for some somewhat authentic mexican flavors....we would give it another shot again... see what else we try next time.

Carlos took amazing care of us from start to finish--super friendly, attentive, and just has a great overall vibe. We had a 12:30PM reservation for their Mother's Day "Mariachi Brunch". The restaurant called us the…read moreday before to suggest we move it to catch the full mariachi set. We changed our plans to 12pm. That's where things started going wrong in ways we couldn't have predicted. There was a huge line outside. All reservation holders, all waiting, none being told anything useful. We stood there for over an hour. This restaurant enforces a 90-minute table limit, so the only way reservations run 60 minutes behind is if you sold more tables than you have. When they finally seated us, they walked us to the very back of the restaurant to plastic folding picnic tables and plastic chairs. The furthest possible seats, out of sight from the mariachi stage. Then we asked for the brunch menu. The server looked surprised, "We're out of the brunch menu. Everyone ordered the same thing." You promoted a brunch, and everyone ordered brunch? Shocking lol. We had to order off the regular menu instead. Our reservation was at 12pm, we sat down at 1:05pm and I finally got my meal at 1:30pm. There were several mistakes to our orders. One person at our table got the grilled shrimp. They served it raw and he sent it back. He ended up not eating and left without a meal. One of the staff was telling frustrated customers that this is simply what you should expect on Mother's Day. No accountability. Just the excuse that wanting a functional experience on a holiday is your fault for going out. This made it worse. And the mariachi? They stopped playing five minutes after we finally sat down. The same guy who told us this to lower our standards told us the band was on a 15-minute break. That break lasted 50 minutes. They came back to play right as our plates were being cleared away. Remember, we were seated in the very back, nowhere near the stage. The band finally made their way toward us just as we were asking for the check. They comped a few items and brought complimentary dessert. It didn't matter by then. This is a bar and lounge that decided to become a holiday brunch venue for one day. The grandmothers in that line didn't come for the lounge atmosphere. They came for the brunch and the mariachi -- the two things this restaurant completely failed to deliver. But I'd bet the staff is somewhere high-fiving each other for surviving a busy shift, convinced we all got exactly the Mother's Day we deserved for daring to go out. We still spend $300. We fell for the trap. And the portions were not large enough, so we went down the street to an Irish pub after and ate some appetizers to make up for it. Better to stick with family restaurants that have experience with special occasions.
