I gave him a box of old dusty VHS tapes and a few days later he handed me a jump drive with 8 gigs of data on it. The video is cleaned up and looks better than the original. I don't know how he did that, but I'm happy he did. This was an extremely easy and pleasant experience. The cost was minimal, way less than I thought it was going to be for the amount of work that I brought him. ~diagnostics fee $155 was required upfront yet no call back or follow until "I" had to pursue text…read moreand calls for update after a week and a half. ~ at time of equipment drop off was verbally informed the diagnostics fee could be applied towards a new printer if required a new printerhead yet upon making my follow up call because of not hearing back there was no mention of that applicable diagnostics fee being applied towards a new printer due to defective printer head evaluation. ~ upon pick up to retrieve my equipment, I reminded of their verbal diagnostic fee statement that they would apply the diagnostic fee towards a new printer as stated during my initial drop off. ~ I was told that he would circle back to me with comparable printer options to apply the fee to and they would let me know the pricing on a new printer. I insisted that it not be a refurbished printer, as I had already looked up my type of printer that I retrieved back, knowing exactly what Amazon was charging for it.. ~ not surprisingly that I never heard back anything. Not a text not a call, nothing same as after I dropped it off. ~ hugely disappointed and I recommend you save your money if you require any type of diagnostics. ~ it's unfortunate for them as I would have possibly utilized additional service needs and possibly offered recommendation, but unfortunately, I cannot do so because I walked away completely and totally dissatisfied after the initial reassurance that the diagnostics fee would be applied towards replacement equipment. ~ even after I reminded of all this and his lip service that he would research and contact me back with a comparable option to apply the diagnostics fee for a new printer 'not a refurbished version.' I never was contacted again with his follow. he knew he was making an easy $155 from me and never provided any services only empty words.

Awful - Zero Brand Confidence and Zero Accountability…read more Do not buy from People's. When I buy a warranty on something it's because I either know it's prone to breaking due to usage (I've been made aware) or because I know I am prone to accidents. Neither of which was the case with a chain I bought at the suggestion of a People's employee based on my description of what I needed/was looking for. No where in my brain did I think, oh this thing is going to randomly break just outside the return window (60 days) in less than 3 months and will stop working as advertised so I should buy a warranty for half the price of the item on top of my purchase price in case it's a bad product.... It is extremely disappointing and disheartening to have brand trust in a company and a person who sells you something, just be completely wiped away when the product was clearly designed to break outside the return window and they turn to you with generic corporate jargon when you bring it into the store, in other words the company basically says "sucks to be you" should have paid more for a bad item at the start because we don't have the confidence in our own products to include any product lemon understanding without you having bought a warranty with your bad product purchase. The logic of having to ALWAYS pay extra at the start because their products are THAT bad - it astonishing to me. But that's what People's stands by when you ask them for any understanding - it's complete corporate coldness. Full Story: When I bought my chain I explained to the store clerk that I'm buying this chain for a pendant and plan to wear it every day, in the shower as well, I explained all this and she sold me a study box chain design with adjustable size and a little heart pendant on the end. Within 2 months, the adjustable part got loose - which I was never warned could happen. But I was away working on a cruise ship and could not return it at the time. And the little heart on the end just broke off one day before I'd had it for even 3 months when going to use it normally. When I arrived in store to see what they could do, I was met with generic corporate rehearsed answers. The chain cost more to repair than buying a new one, and even if I bought a new one, I'd still have to pay more for the protection plan on the new one - they still wouldn't include the protection plan. Absolutely the most disheartening and dishonest jewelry sale I have ever experienced. Do NOT buy from People's.
