First, my comments are not for the local representatives on 700. These are the diligent neighbors that through their employment work to unravel and problem solve scenarios created by their corporate representatives. They deserve gold stars for doing their jobs well. Second, TDS (Directv & Dish too) can't seem to tell the same story. Who tossed the script? No one quotes the same rates. The aim is to BUNDLE no matter what the call. Sales, sales, sales. No one appears to be listening to what the customer is requesting and actually needs. Do they know how frustrating this is? It goes against all points of Sales 101! Listen to the customer! How about trying to solve that problem FIRST before asking "do you want fries with that?" Next contracts and rates. Will someone explain why you would offer transients or seniors contracts? Both have been known to "move on" unexpectedly. One of the dumbest policies ever. Who wants to be stuck with any of these companies ever? This is for the company's benefit, not the customer. Rates are the hook...too good to be true. These companies are so friendly to the customers. The hammer comes at the end of the initial "contracted" period and rates have been known to double or triple. These parasites aren't known for reducing (or offering affordable rates to loyal, long time customers) rates. It is up to the customer to monitor contracts and beg or threaten to leave to get any deal (that may or maynot be available). Who has time for this crap? Cable and satellite companies have brought this distaste, frustration, anger, end of rope emotions from their loyal customers on themselves. If no one has noticed the young people have cut the cord, left the building, and dropped the mic. What goes around, comes around. Streaming/internet TV is the next generation of technology. No one is going to cry for the cable and satellite companies as they get left behind. Remember they put profits before people. Customers should always come first. My former employer's mantra: Our greatest asset leaves at 5 o'clock. See ya TDS, Dish, Directv, Infinity, Comcast, Time-Warner...the whole lot of ya!

The worst customer service you will ever experience in your lifetime…read more Aside from 3 phone calls to tech support in getting this box to work, I have been plagued with billing issues from the time I signed up, They overbilled me multiple times, They're calls go to a call center in Santa Lucia I setup Auto pay successfully and on the next billing cycle they disconnected my service for non payment, my card was GOOD. They do this so they can charge a reconnect fee AND a late fee, $37 added revenue for them. I made my payment over the phone to get current, $152 and I have a confirmation #, 3 weeks after they decide to charge my credit card with Auto pay for ANOTHER $152, I hour on the phone and they wanted to roll it over in the next month, I said NO, I want my money that you stole. Now I have to wait 15 days for the credit to appear on my card. I asked to remove Auto Pay, CANT DO IT, they made it so complicated, that it would take months and several more phone calls to cancel it... Well I'm cancelling them, I'm taking their box directly to the office. As far as reliability, the internet goes out randomly at least twice a week and it takes until the next day to get it back... IT SUCKS!

The positive- no longer have freezing while streaming and much cheaper than TDS. You can actually…read morereach local technical support without waiting on the phone for 20 minutes to talk to someone in another country. No offense to foreign customer service, but there can often be communication issues. The negative- had a problem within a week of installation and had to go into the office to trade out the equipment. Within another month, had trouble connecting to the internet. Solved by rebooting, but a pain in the neck to do and time consuming phone call. The employees are young and nice but do not have basic customer service skills. First rule of customer service, when talking to an angry/frustrated customer apologize for the inconvenience. Also, no clear explanation of why the problem happened. They do ok dealing with the problem, but not good at dealing with people, and I have a more calm and patient personality than most. Really need to train their people.

Not only did they get out and fix the cut cable within 24 hours, but they gave us their local numbers in case there were further problems. One of the Repairman actually helped us get all of our multiple items back online. He stayed until all of our smart items and both the garage door openers were back online. Thanks to Russ and Cole we are up and running once again.

I sent multiple inquiries out to installers and only 2 locations actually responded with either a…read morephone call or a email. Southern Utah TV and Satellite responded by the end of the business day that I placed the inquiry with a phone call. I am very happy that I selected Southern Utah TV for the installation that I had requested. The installer, Jacob, was excellent!

I paid for their best service ($149 approx a month) and was barely getting 20 mbps if that. I could stream any video and even webpages wouldn't load right. It would be so bad that my one bar of service was faster than waiting for my internet. I had their tech guy come out who flat out informed me their towers can't support the users so how much you get will fluctuate no matter what you pay. (sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen). AND THIS IS HOW GOOD IT IS WHEN IT WORKS! Lol I asked for a specific quote to buy my own space on the tower (dedicated fiber or something like that they call it). Didn't even get a call back. I've got a couple days left or AWI and then praise the lord I can get TDS. I'll be paying 50% the price for 20x the speed. How sad.

He was able to resolve my B issue with a phone that had never been sent to me and for which there was no tracking number. He spoke directly with accounts and got the original order canceled re-ordered my new phone, and actually got my phone number transported from Verizon to T-Mobile all in the same visit. It's hard to accurately review a company you can't reach. I've tried sales, technical support, left…read moremessages, got a hold of an answering service. Nobody called back, unable to reach anybody, you can get an operator in an answering service and you're on hold on that for 15-20 minutes so sales must be really good as it appears they don't want any new customers because nobody calls you back or answers the phone. Hoping the change from TDS but unfortunately it looks like I'm going to stay with them. At least I can reach somebody there even though for the most part they don't even know what they're talking about that something is better than nothing.
