Went to The Ridley House today and was really disappointed with the service. Our server took a long…read moretime to come over initially, and after that we barely saw her. Our drinks were empty for most of the meal, and we had to ask another server just to find her. One of our drinks was made wrong, and when we finally got her attention, she seemed annoyed she needed to come to our table and actually walked away while we were still talking, which felt really dismissive. What makes it more frustrating is that there's an automatic 18% gratuity even for small tables. I ended up having to tipping $22 total, and for only seeing her a handful of times, it definitely didn't feel deserved. To top it off, when I mentioned to the head bartender (who was acting as the manager) that I wouldn't be coming back, he pulled $40 cash out of his own wallet and offered it to me to "give them another chance." It honestly made me feel so uncomfortable and was not an appropriate way to handle the situation. The food was fine, but the service and overall experience were not. For the prices and the built-in tip, I expected much better. I will not be returning.

Personally I think the veggie bits were better than the meat but that's just preference. I wouldn't order the lamb again bc I thought it was a tad too gamey and tough to eat. There are bones with some of the meat options. Overall, I think it is very hard to go wrong with a pick - just personal preferences would influence what I get next time.

I found this spot on Uber Eats and I ordered some food there out of the blind because I never heard…read moreof this place or even saw it on Yelp. I ordered 2 entrees, the chicken Alfredo and a wing platter. The chicken Alfredo comes with a choice of broccoli or spinach and the pasta they served was a thick rigatoni with a very thick Alfredo sauce. I chose it with broccoli and a sprinkle of red seeded pepper. The pasta was cooked just right and the sauce was tasty. But I called it chicken 'shadow" Alfredo because I was going blind looking for the chicken. In addition, the dish was sort of small for the price. The second entree was chicken wing dings with a terrific Asian sweet sauce, along with baked mac & cheese and something called Cajun potatoes. The wings were "fried hard" as they say in the 'hood. I'm not fond of any foods cooked so long that they're dried out. The Cajun potatoes were horrible, if someone from Louisiana tried this a fight might break out. The mac & cheese was great, baked to perfection, creamy and cheesy and it was the only reason I didn't give them 1 star.

The inside has the remaining old bar probably from the previous owners and a room full the paneled walls. There are no upgrades but the high top table and chairs are new. We walked in probably looked unfamiliar with the layout and definitely new, so the manager or owner greeted us and cleared off a table that had business paperwork. They have a fairly decent menu, open kitchen that you can see clearly everything going on in the back. I ordered The jerk chicken Alfredo it was absolutely delicious and a good portion.
