Long story short, I ended up getting in later that same afternoon. Dr. Noda was great, very friendly and thorough, and the optician Veronica was very helpfu l and I'll probably end up getting at least one pair there instead of my usual Costco run. As I am showing you in the attached screenshot, I am very much aware of the insurance plan I have and what my coverage entails. Your office, again in the screenshot, is in network. The issue is that your staff argued with me that (in her words) "ALL insurance plans cover vision through VSPs, and I don't see you with either of the major VSPs". I do not in fact have a VSP, this is correct. I have a PPO insurance plan that provides vision benefits. You can do with this information what you will, but another optometrist was able to find my plan with just a little bit of diligence. It might be the case that a majority of your patients use a VSP, but don't insult your prospective patients by telling them they don't know the products they pay for.

She recommended lenses that will make wearing glasses more convenient. The office has a great selection of glasses and Richard was extremely helpful and helping me choose a new pair and answered any questions I had. he also explained how to get the boat out of my benefits. Richard also repaired my old pair of glasses without me asking. The doctors are very knowledgeable and care about their patients. The office personnel are experienced and friendly. I have had last minute situations with appointments and prescriptions that have been addressed with care and concern. I appreciate the explanations, as well as follow-up discussions, if needed. They take time to be thoughtful about their answers, when I have them. The office is equipped to handle your eye care needs. I have even ordered the glasses that I wear at this office. They have their own parking lot in front of the office building. I have never had a problem finding a parking spot. I highly recommend the Eye Treatment Center. They are worth a drive!

I hate to leave bad review but I feel this one is well warranted…read more I was referred to Sphinx Optical by my ophthalmologist. I went in with my prescription, and the optometrist recommended high-end prescription transition progressive lenses, the ones that dim depending on ambient light. He went on about the new technology, the best lenses on the market., etc.. He ordered the glasses, and after receiving them I wore them for a couple of weeks until my co-worker at the office started asking me why I was wearing sunglasses at the office, little did I know that the glasses were *extremely* sensitive to even indoor light, and dim very dark. Those glasses cost me about $650 including tax. I understood then why everyone would stare at my eyes while talking to me, because they were unable to see if I was looking at them. I called and expressed my concern to the optometrist, he told me that he has the same exact type of lenses and that he deals with similar situations. Well, it would have been nice for him to tell me *before* I made my decision to buy them, right? So I decided to get an *additional* pair that did not dim, just clear. I figured ok I could use the old ones when I am out in the sun, and the clear ones indoors. I went to try out a new frame, the optometrist decided it was a good idea to re-check my vision, even though I didn't ask for it, and so he did, and according to the computer and my vision test feedback it was decided that my new lenses needed to be stronger, again I didn't ask for this. So I agreed since I was seeing better during the test. The order was placed and I went to pick up the glasses a couple of weeks later. I tried them on at the store and went home. I noticed while I was driving that I was unable to see far away objects clearly, when I got home my neighbor noticed that the frame was very crooked and misaligned (see photos). I called the store to complain and the answer I got by both the receptionist and the optometrist was "Didn't you try them on before you left?" Well yeah I tried them on but I couldn't tell they were crooked, and I was able to see fine at the store since everything was within a few feet away. So I called and a new frame was ordered, after two weeks I receive a call from the receptionist saying that the same frame doesn't exist in that same color, and that another frame can be ordered but I would have to come into the office to try them out. Again to the office? I have done about 8 trips to that office and spent over $1100 for two pairs of glasses neither of which is what I need. All those trips, the money spent, and the time driving back and forth, was all a big waste. I am mot sure what went wrong during this whole process but I will bite the bullet and take my business elsewhere, somewhere where the staff actually listen to customers, don't oversell products, and check the qualify of frames.

I replied kindly why what happen she replied well because you don't have an appointment. I explained why wasn't this told to me when I walked in, she said we told you to browse around. I said excuse me... Proceeded to respond yes you need an appointment. After 30+ min and they never cared to explain that to me when I walked in. I asked her what is your name and she stated her name with a grim in her face. Very unprofessional.. lack of communication, I would have understood their protocol but why give incorrect information.
