Delicious and unique fare at this local food truck…read more Online ordering easy using Streetfinder app. Food ready on-time and piping hot, service welcoming and friendly. The menu is pork-centric, featuring several varieties of thinly pounded pork chops. Tried 2 of them. The first is a char grilled boneless pork chop, topped with pickled peppers, arugula. It's served on ciabatta bread, slathered with a sambal-based aioli. The meat is tender and moist, the aioli just spicy enough to stimulate the taste buds. The second is Korean-marinated pork, topped with pickled carrots, Korean radish & cilantro. The marinate adds a touch of sweetness, which contrasts beautifully with the tangy pickled carrots and tart radish. Shout out to the arancini (deep fried risotto balls). Golfball sized dollops of soft, creamy, cheesy risotto are breaded and deep friend golden brown. Crunchy outside, succulent on the inside, 4 to the serving. Yum! A variety of delicious and unique offerings. Check out this food truck when you see them. Good stuff!

Food Truck Time: Pounded Pig at Fainting Goat Brewing Company…read more I really like the pig butt logo, it is super cute. This food truck offers pork sandwiches and a few sides. My husband and I split the Korean pork sandwich, roasted pork with eggplant sandwich, arancini (with mushrooms) and fried taties (no pork added). The food was good, our favorites were the arancini and pork sandwich with eggplant. Check them out if you are at a brewery that they coming to.

(for the tacos... not the emotional trauma from my washing machine)…read more My day started with my washing machine choosing violence. Not a gentle "needs repair" situation... more like the gates of hell opened and chaos was unleashed. Since the repair part didn't come in (of course), I had no choice but to haul a WEEK'S worth of laundry--mine, my husband's, and my two teenagers'--to the laundromat. Yes. A full family field trip to Laundry Land. Surprisingly, everything went smoothly. No missing socks. No breakdowns (mine or the machines). A miracle, honestly. BUT THEN... We walk outside, arms full of freshly folded laundry, and like a beacon of hope shining down from above... A taco truck. We immediately abandoned all previous suffering and made our way over. Customer service? 10/10. So sweet. So welcoming. Food? Even better. I ordered a chicken quesadilla, the kids got tacos (shrimp, steak, the works), and the second we took a bite... we all just stopped and looked at each other like, "Wait... WHY is this so good?!" I'm not being dramatic when I say it took me straight back to Puerto Rico. Authentic, flavorful, absolutely incredible. So yes--my washing machine may have betrayed me... ...but this taco truck? Restored my faith in humanity

We ordered asada/steak, pastor and chicken tacos total of 8 tacos and they were all delicious along with 2 asada/steak sopes!!! I loved the plain chicken tacos for my toddler as the chicken was very tender, perfectly cut in small pieces and she ate all 2 of hers which is a huge thing as she's picky. Pineapple water was so good and refreshing!! Price was reasonable, so worth it!! We will be going back to try the rest of their menu especially their shrimp and fish tacos!! Great customer service! Very kind and I loved the bible verse on the window.

Food Truck Time: Bam Pow Chow @ the Railhawks game…read more I was super excited to try Bam Pow Chow because the menu looked very appetizing. I ordered the Fried Red Tomato Sliders with an avocado sauce and corn relish. This came with 2 sliders for $7, you can add an order of french fries for an additional $2 (if you love waffle fries then you will definitely want to do this). The food tasted great, I would recommend this food truck.

We caught up with Bam Pow Chow and chef Marshall Smith at Compass Rose. The menu had four entrees; Angus beef sliders with grilled Provolone, and chimichurri, pulled pork sliders with tangy apples and scallions, the Big Fish sandwich with a lemon dill ranch and cucumbers and fried red tomato sliders with corn relish and avocado sauce. Sides are separate and options include French fries, corn fritters, mac & cheese with bacon, and onion rings. First off, the menu is well priced and the portions are generous. We ordered the Big Fish sandwich and the Angus sliders, and for sides, the corn fritters, French fries and mac & cheese with bacon. The Big Fish sandwich is a large deep fried filet resting on two slider buns. The deep fry reminds me of fish & chips takeaway in the UK, it's crispy and flavorful, but with cucumber slices and dill ranch. The Angus sliders are topped with chimichurri, cooked really well and full of flavor. They were actually described by my daughter as "incredible." The slider buns are worth mentioning. Not run-of-the-mill buns, they are elevated and worth the carbs. The sides are stars too. The French fries are a mix of white potato and sweet potato, fried crispy and dusted with we guess to be garlic and Parmesan(?). The corn fritters...I hesitated ordering them because if fritters are dry, they're terrible. These were the exact opposite of dry. The corn fritters are moist and cake like, and they were served with a spicy mayo for dipping. Finally, the mac & cheese with bacon. This side is more than a side, and the chopped, fresh bacon crowning it takes it to another level. Overall, we enjoyed every bite. High marks from my crew. We can't wait to see how Bam Pow Chow evolves with Smith at the helm. Don't miss out.
