We came on a rainy weekend with our parents and it was relatively quiet, in contrast to the other reviews we got lucky in that regard as it wasn't crowded. Food and drinks definitely appeased us on the quality of the ingredients and the well seasoned protein dishes. I had their fish tacos and was perfectly satisfied with it as well as the caipirinha that was well crafted by the bartender. For dessert, we opted for the tres leches cake which was not setup how it is traditionally made but we enjoyed the experience.

We came to Longitud315 on a Wednesday evening before catching the Metra down to Ravinia. We were the apparently the first customers of the day. The lone server, who was also doubling as bartender, said we could sit anywhere we wanted. We ordered several small plates plus dessert. Their chimichurri is some of the best I've ever tasted--great for dipping plantain chips as well as empanadas. Arepas, drunken mushrooms, and Chupil de Camerones were all excellent. The only slight disappointment was the empanadas. We tried all 4 they were offering that night. Some were good but a couple tasted like they had been reheated. A couple cocktails rounded out our meal, no complaints there. Service was excellent. It was starting to get busy when we left but the lone server never missed a beat. Prices were reasonable in our opinion. We left full and happy and are already planning a return visit.

The ambience is great and so is the servers. The presentation was also pretty great. We started off with a nice drink. For our main dish, I had birria tacos and my husband had the pasta and steak. I personally wasn't a huge fan of either one because I felt like they both lacked flavor. For me, the true star of the show was the desert trio! We had churro, tres leches, and banana pudding. It was amazing!! I feel like I would just go back for the dessert by itself lol. Overall, Mi Amor is worth trying out. The price point is a bit high but my husband and I thought it was a great "date night" restaurant for couples especially. Don't forget to try out dessert! I can vouch for the horseradish crusted whitefish being perfectly done and always served hot. The pork chop, which I'm often skittish about being tough is a solid serving and tender. I'll also speak up for the pappardelle bolognese prepared in a light tomato sauce. Consider the sides as well including the crispy brussel sprouts and/or the popcorn cauliflower for the table. I'll be back for the rest of the menu over time, but these get my personal thumbs up. The restaurant is right-sized for my preference with one big store-front room. Good sight lines to see who is in the house (if you care) and what they're eating and drinking. The kitchen is visible behind the bar but not so visible that you literally have to watch the sausage be made (they don't have sausage). On busy nights/weekends reservation recommended. The steak tacos didn't have much flavor either, so it was good that we had our choice of the salsas to use. The steak was without fat or gristle so that was a plus.
