Waiting in line at customer service desk with two people working the counter and two people ahead of me... Took over 15 minutes. The Assistant manager, Amy Ainsworth took two people that just walked up without a second glance at me and my 81 yr old father and one year old to sell lottery tickets and then to take a person she knew by name. It happened so fast and when she was done, the other clerk was finally finishing up with his customer. I proceeded to explain that it was poor customer service and she said oh I thought he had you. Even worse that she saw me. Not a single apology from her and as I was asking for the manager, she interrupted me by taking a phone call. Ridiculously rude and unprofessional manager. I'm in the store daily and everyone else has always been so nice and helpful. Amy Ainsworth, sad that you're management material. read more

The store is not reacting well to the Walmart competition. Every week there are new employees. Very disappointed by the new management team . I wonder why folks that had worked there for years have retired or relocated! Guess they are adapting to the new owners. .Albertsons management group! Haha good luck! read more

do not use the delivery service. it is 3rd party. also the pickers do not know where the products are located. not their fault. tea should be where the tea is and not the produce line.... horrible experience for me read more

The best Starbucks is right inside Tom Thumb. I get great tasting coffee and friendly customer service. I started shopping at Tom Thumb more because of the Starbucks service. read more

Clean store. Friendly people! They always remember me . I come here for the service because it is a little pricey. I think it is worth it.

I was going to write a scathing review complaining about your motorized carts and how you only had two and both of them were in bad shape and rarely charged. The first time I walked into Tom Thumb last week, I was looking in the meat section for making a chicken dinner. I was impressed with the overall look of the store, the friendly and courteous way I was greeted/treated at the register and the freshness/quality of the chicken I purchased. The produce section was interesting and stocked with the freshest vegetables, herbs and fruits. Overall, I am a Tom Thumb fan, believe its a great local supermarket and I will definitely be heading back there soon for my weekly groceries. read more

I used to only go to Walmart. Well, ever since I moved to Rowlett 2 years ago, I offically only go to Walmart now for my prescriptions. Everything else is THIS Tom Thumb. It is ALWAYS clean, organized and great prices. The GM Mr. Brown is a fabulous man with a smile on his face at all times. The staff is always friendly and willing to help at anytime. We are here 3 or 4 times a week. The store is always clean and the employees are friendly. When there is a line at the checkouts, the managers open their own registers to get things moving. The pharmacy always checks the prescriptions for accuracy and calls the Dr if it does'nt look right. The steaks are always good quality....never had a tough one from here. read more

I moved to Texas four years ago, and this immediately became THE store to shop in. Everyone is helpful, and if you come regularly, they make sure to know your family and your story. They kept track of my kids' allergies and always had an appropriate treat for them, (with my permission first!). They take back items without question. When we hit a rough patch financially, I noticed some of our items were mysteriously discounted. When I needed medication for breast cancer, it also was mysteriously discounted (I don't have insurance). The bakery makes cakes for my kids not found on the menu. For example, my daughter loves Belle, but they didn't have a Belle cake. We were told to bring in the doll, and they'd do it. They did, and she LOVED it! We get that kind of cake every year now with a different princess. Their promotions are amazing, and we often stock up. Some of the employees will even stop us when they see us and let me know of something on sale that we usually buy. This store really feels like it caters to their guests. I feel almost like a celebrity when I shop there. They even helped out with my son's fundraiser, one for the PTO, and donated to the pregnancy center where I volunteer. Seriously, I don't care what other store have to offer; Tom Thumb is our grocery store home. read more

Today officially marked the last day I will step foot in this store. The customer service is horrible, the checkers are rude (most anyway) and this is the fourth visit in a row I have found my coupons were not taken at the time of my purchase and today the cashier insisted they were, took my coupons and shut her drawer. Customer service basically told me there was no way to prove it either way. I also bought gift cards during a promotion and didn't recieve money off my next purchase. She told me I bought the wrong cards, and I showed her the add showing the cards and she shrugged her shoulders and said she couldn't do anything about it and I needed to call corporate. I think that the advertised gas prices at Tom Thumb are false advertising. You don't realize until you pull in that they are the prices if you pay cash or use a debit card. If you use credit they are 10 cents more a gallon. Other stations do not use this means to try and trick people so I question the ethics of the whole store. read more

I enjoy going to this store to shop. It's clean and well stoke. The baker employees are friendly and the bagels are wonderful.
