I visited your store last week while Tracy was assisting at the self-checkout. The items I purchased were on sale, but the discounts were not reflected at checkout. Tracy was speaking with another employee and expressing dissatisfaction about their jobs and co-workers. Meanwhile, I and several other customers were waiting at the register for assistance. I overheard a customer politely say, "I'm sorry for bothering you, but I need help," after which one staff member slowly walked over to assist. However, Tracy turned away from the rest of us and began restocking bags at the checkout stands. One of the customers asked Tracy why she was ignoring us and Tracy became angry and said, "I did not hear you ask for help or try to get my attention, that what your suppose to do" in a very hostile voice. This is not appropriate customer service and does not represent the Tom Thumb brand. I am not sure why the behavior took place, but of all people, Tracy should not be someone discriminating against anyone! read more

Ugh! I came here for the 10% off on game day and left still paying full price and despising Tom Thumb all the more. My cashier was brain dead. He didn't let me input my loyalty number. I thought NBD I can go to customer service and they will do it. Nope. Apparently at 5pm on a Sunday there is no customer service after 30 minutes of waiting there I left. The bagger put heavy items on yogurt and to say there was a mess would be an understatement but that's on me for not insisting on bagging my own groceries. Was annoyed about him putting my ice cream with the hot chicken. The deli counter chicken tastes burnt. I wouldn't recommend unless you are in a pinch. 77 Year Old disabled U.S.M.C. Veteran totally disrespected by Director Todd Tracy. I shopped at the store on 12/06/24 and was totally unfamiliar with this digital sales stuff that seems to be designed to cheat and mislead people. The isle with the Campbells soup on every row in big print it said reg. price $1.99 and sale price listed everywhere said 77 cents a can so I stocked up on about 30 cans being on a fixed income. Also bought 2 Oreo cookies Reg. $5.97 on sale for $2.97 I think it was in big print. Nowhere did I see the word Digital Sale alerting me that this was some sort of special sale offer that I knew nothing about. They conveniently made it impossible for customers to know it was a digital offer and I believe these stores do this on purpose to cheat and mislead its customers making millions on customers making mistakes like I did (they prey on the elderly) and think we are stupid. Everywhere you go you see everyone doing everything they can to trick and mislead you. When I grew up all the stores had reg. price and sale prices listed and none of this b/s to mislead and cheat you. At the register Jada was my cashier and a woman helping her said she was the Asst. Manager. When they realized I did not do the soup Digital whatever that is they had a guy remove my 30 cans of soup at the register embarrassing me and not allowing me to buy them at 77 cents each. I ask the woman helping Jada if I could speak to the Manager and she said she was the Asst. Mng. She said well I could have given you cans for 77 cents for $20.00 worth but you spent $30.00 I thought for a second and said that is fine give me $20.00 worth at 77 cents and then she refused to do it (she lied to me completely) So I wrote a letter to the director Todd Tracy and told him the treatment I received from the Assistant Manager and I would give him a chance to make it right with me or I would put in a Negative review. Well my letter to him had my email address because they started sending me emails on buying groceries after he received my letter so he definitely received it and read it. But, he never once contacted me or said they were sorry for the really poor embarrassing treatment I received or offered to do anything to make it right with me (unbelievable) and I expected Todd to be more professional and at least have the curtesy to contact me after I took the time to write him a nice respectful mature letter and explain the treatment and lies I received at his store on Pioneer in Mesquite. Went to the store made a purchase for seafood got home realized that I didn't have 2 bag of shrimp called corporate they instructed me to call the store in which I did and was told just bring your receipt and they will be replaced but instead I was threatened by the ASM that they didn't have to help me and that they will just call the police to figure it out twice while I was there with my children after I asked for the store manager and she said with her whole chest I am the store manager I told her you are not you are a A assistant s store m manager which isn't the same thing I was then again threatened with a call to the police for trying to get merchandise that I paid for her name was Olga Morales and was very rude to me the other Asm was like just give her the shrimp it's not a big deal but your are making it one ...so now I out of 23 on a 185 purchase wasted time and gas and feel totally disappointed in the management staff at this store and will be following up with corporate and the actual store manager.i did like this store until I was totally disrespected by management staff and will not shop there anymore I would give no stars but there isn't an option read more

I like shopping at Tom Thumb, but the Starbucks right front and center as you walk in is amazingly filthy. From dirty glass display case with gnats buzzing around, all surrounding glass horribly dirty, coffee beans and dusty grime all over the grinder, disgusting trash can with months worth of spills all over it in front of a filthy wall, dirty sugar/cinnamon/nutmeg shakers on a grimy counter, the baskets under the shelves that display cups and stuff are full of trash and dirty gross stuff, the syrup pumps are sticky and yucky looking. It just goes on. This was not me walking in on the after math of a busy morning. It's always like that and the grime, dirty walls, even the metal rafters and sign above the registers are coated with years of sticky dirt. I would only give it one star but I don't blame the hourly workers at all. They work their tails off in a busy location and have no down time that I've ever seen. This is a management issue, they don't schedule them enough hours to keep it clean is my guess. Which, in turn is probably because their managers don't give them enough hours. read more

This store has become my new everyday store due to it's proximity to the casa. I can't complain though, because it is a nice store. The store is always clean and well lit. The staff is helpful and polite. The produce section is nice, as is the deli. There is a Starbucks in this store and it seems to do a very healthy business. The prices are a little higher than the Kroger I used to frequent, but nothing to drastic. Always check out the markdown section over by the pharmacy, you can find some real values there! read more

I went looking for the T-Bone steaks that were on sale. The sale was for the "Choice" cuts in a "Value" pack for $5.77/lb. I could not find any such packages, therefore I asked the butcher. He claimed he didn't have a value packs ready, so I asked if we could used several of the "smaller weight" packages to make a value pack, and his answer was NO. He explained to me that the "Choice" cuts in the "Value" pack was NOT the SAME meat as in the "smaller weight" packages. He said is was "SPECIAL" for the "Value" packs. "Special"? Value packs come from the bad cows? Bad meat? I just couldn't trust what they are selling. BUY your meat anywhere but Tom Thumb or Albertson's which are now the same company. Since Albertsons have brought out tom thumb the store has gone down hill. The chicken salad my son and i adored is now all mayo no chicken. They tried to charge me over a dollar for 2 pieces of primo chedder which i told them to keep, the shrimp are all farm raised nothing caught fresh or locally, i juat dropped almost 30 dollars on a roast beef which they seem to be unable to cut a proper fat cap as well it was just horrible. Do not buy the roast beef unless you get it cut freshly from the older man. They hire these kids with zero schooling and they do not know what their doing. Last time ill pick a precut roast up. Very dissapointing down hill as they were my fave store. read more

Out of all the supermarkets in the area this one is my favorite. What I like about it the most is the customer service and their selection of produce. I went there the other day and was shopping for some veggies. While wondering around I grabbed a container of pico. Well I didn't even realize someone saw me grab it but the guy stocking fruit walked up to me a few minutes later and asked what the date was on the container I picked up. I showed it to him and he told me to take the one in his hand because it had a later expiration date. Has really seemed to go downhill over the past year or so. The butcher section is really a disappointment. I often have to search hard to find meat that has a sell by date longer than a couple days making buying a weeks worth of groceries difficult. There has been rancid meat on the shelves including a package of wright brand sausage I didn't check that was 2 months past date, and I won't even attempt to buy seafood anymore after getting it home only to find it spoiled. I will say the produce section is the saving grace. Always fresh produce and seems well taken care of. Checkout experience is pretty much always quick and friendly though a few times there should be more lines open. read more

The manager Veronica was dressed very inappropriate to be dealing with customers looks like she was working on a street corner did not appreciate the side boob action big girl panties that you can see through her pants as well as the alcohol that was on her breath.
