I am so disappointed, it hurts to write this because I tough I was in a good place. Unfortunately I have had the wrong prescription for almost 4 years ! It has caused some inflammation to my never and caused my eye to be drippy. We tough it was allergies and for a whole year I went to different doctors did an MRI to make sure it wasn't something serious. Just to find out it was the wrong prescription. If you notice in this office they don't have the machines to check your eye for deseases or to measure ur eyes. I measure 3.5 and I had a 5.2 for so many years ! My mom,sister, and grandma came here because of me and they all had the same problem! That's when we noticed the issue! Now I have to see a specialist to make sure my nerve is not damaged ! This is a hidden Gem. I was referred to this location because I was told they have unique glasses, as I was complaining to someone that I can never find frames that I like because all of the optometrists and stores where you buy glasses, sell frames that are either designer or frames that are what everyone else is wearing. I feel like they put everyone in the same basket and we are supposed to wear the most popular style at that time but don't allow you to be an individual. The customer service was amazing and the eyewear knowledge weas amazing. I walked in and I was basically talking about myself, and based on that, the owner was able to pull a pair of glasses off the shelf and it was exactly my personality. My face is unusually small, so he also showed me his collection of smaller sizes and I was impressed with those as well. Thank you to Craig and his assistant. read more

I am a very satisfied customer! Purchased new progressive lenses for my Oakley sun glasses and returned them after a week of trying to adjust to them. Met with Dr Craig as he was closing for the day and he insisted that I come in although it was 15 minutes past his closing. He remeasured and suggested that I try a different manufacturer of the lenses. I received my new lenses within a week and they have been working exceptionally well. Unorganized and misrepresent quotes. Went there a couple of times. One Person will quote u a price over the phone then when u get there the price changes and then they accuse you of lying. Luckily we had the message still available but shouldn't have to go through all that mostly accusations that they never called and left quote. Extremely nice staff. Very helpful. Optician extremely knowledgable and personable. My husband got his first pair of glasses and was very pleased. Would definitely recommend to anyone. A wonderful experience. My only negative is that he tried contacts first and they charge $30 to show you how to put them in. It is not covered by insurance. I think that should be part of the exam cost. Ended up he was not able to adjust to them so that was a waste of money. read more

I used to go to chain stores for eye exams and glasses until a friend suggested I try Toms Stevens Optical. What a big difference! Their personal investment in making sure you are happy and your glasses are perfect is clearly felt! I had trouble prior getting progressives and the owner, Greg explained the different types and that I should try again and if I did not like them to bring them back and get a single vision. Well I love love my progressives! His selection of frames is huge and forever changing! Lastly he knows faces and how to fit a frame to your shaped face, sounds funny but I just got the coolest frames on his suggestion, I never would have chosen them on my own if they were hanging on a wall, I'm one very happy customer and highly suggest a visit to Toms. My wife purchased a pair of lens from Klassy Eyes, Boca Raton, for her Tiffany frame. The cost for the lens was around $400.00. She told the optician (owner) that she wanted name brand lens. He asked why? I can get you an excellent non name brand lens for less money. He kept suggesting this cheaper lens. We kept asking are you sure they are good lens? His repeated response: absoultely! Ten months after receipt of her lens they began to appear crusted and could not be cleaned with a lens cloth or water. The lens problem progressed and we returned to Klassy Eyes only to be told that the owner had retired and sold his optical practice to Mr. C. Lichtner of Tom Stevens Optical, Coconut Creek. We drove there and met Mr Lichtner. He looked at the lens and said they were 'peeling'. He said the cause was due to the oils in my wife's skin. My wife and I both have eyeglasses that have lasted fifteen - twenty years plus without any noted peeling; they were brand name - Varilux Crizal. My LIchtner found my wife's records from Klassy Eyes and said he would contact the lens provider/manufacturer in Miami to determine if the lens were still in warranty, and for us to check back in a few days. He further added that these lens were only made by this company for a few months and then were discontinued, no recall issued. He did not say why they were discontinued and why a recall wasn't issued. He also said the Varilux - Crizal lens were now of poor quality and Made in China as if this were to be expected nowadays and in someway exonerated Klassy Eyes and the Miami manufacturer for selling a defective product. Several days later we contacted Mr. Lichtner and were told that the lens warranty was for only one year; the lens were now barely at thirteen months of age. He said the laboratory in Miami , however, could replace the lens for a fee of $250.00, "they are just trying to help us", he said. My wife and I were both chagrined. We contend that the Miami lens manufacturer discovered they were making defective lenses, hence, they stopped making the lens. We also contend that Mr. Lichtner of Tom Stevens Optical, who purchased the Klassy Eyes practice should have made good on this defective product at no charge to my wife once he knew the manufacturer would not replace them at no cost. For the reasons, above cited, we can't recommend this business for any of their products. However, you, the potential customer, should do your own homework and decide for yourself. I was looking for a new place for glasses (the Pearl vision I used to go to in Boca closed) and called a couple of places. I spoke with the owner Craig on the phone, who seemed very knowledgeable. The initial exam was about $100. less than the first place I called in Boca, so I decided to make an appointment with the Doctor for an exam. He was very pleasant to work with and seemed to really know his business. Although, there were other customers there , I was helped immediately by Alice who helped me pick out a pair of glasses that fit my face nicely. There was a big selection and a lot to choose from. She gave me all the time I needed. She and another really nice man then showed me how to put my new contacts in. (first time I ever wore contacts) Well, I must say they were both beyond patient, as I had a hard time putting them in at first. They gave me pointers and remained very patient as they helped me put in and remove the contacts. Craig did a wonderful job of choosing his staff! In today's world where customer service lacks, they were quite amazing! We as consumers should support companies like this that are competent and really care about their customers. I also treated myself to a pair of Maui Jim prescription sunglasses because I was so pleased with my experience! I was very lucky to find this place! read more
