I spent over $500 at Elios Optical's Flagler location on an eye exam, designer frames, and lenses. When I called with a simple question about my PD measurement, I was met with attitude, disrespect, and absolutely no effort to provide a solution. The person I spoke with, who appeared to be the doctor, repeatedly raised his voice, spoke over me, and would not allow me to explain my concern. Consider taking your money somewhere that values its customers and treats them with respect. Based on my experience, once the sale was made, customer service was no longer a priority. read more

These guys are great. They are easy to get to with plenty of parking and have a vast selection of frames of all types. All the staff are friendly and you can shop with no pressure. I have purchased several pairs of glasses from them and each time they were helpful and professional helping me select and choose a nice frame. This is a smaller, older building in Deerfield so it doesn't look like much on the outside. Because they're smaller, they always give great, individualized care. Antonio is always so sweet and helpful. The doctors do the exams remotely which is kind of cool because wise she can see the images and conduct the exam online after the office staff walk you through the typical eye exam process. I have not had a good experience here. My eye exam and the doctor were fine, though she was out of the office sick and did my exam virtually. I would have appreciated a call to see if I was ok with this, but it that did not happen. Nonetheless, the exam was fine and I liked the doctor. My issue is with the retail side of the business. On more than one occasion, I went to the store to look at glasses. Most of the frames are behind the desks, so you can't look at them on your own. Each time, I had to ask for assistance, and each time, I was told I'd have to wait while they served other people. I waited, and waited, and waited. Eventually, I left. I have now tried at least 3 times to buy my glasses there. Do I need to make an appointment to look at glasses? If so, I'll go to LenCrafters - at least they look up when you walk in the door. read more

I visited on November 24, 2020. A lense popped out of my eye glasses and went missing. Since I liked the frames, I wanted to try to have the lense(s) replaced. I was a bit wary to go to any establishment initially, cause I thought it may cost a fortune. I was fortunately incorrect on this perspective. I entered and noticed that Manufacturer Direct Eyewear took significant precautionary measures for COVID-19, including taking patience's tempeture upon going into the building and enforcing social distancing. This was appreciated. I worked with Brenda, and told her my issues. She was friendly and professional. She checked with her supervisor and the first asking price was $50. I articulated that I was struggling fiscally and requested that they work with me. They said they can do $35 for this job. I felt that price was fair, so I said that I wanted to move forward. Brenda noted that it would be ready later that day or the following day, and she would text me when it was completed. Brenda gave me some price points on other services, and I got the impression it was a bit expensive. I received a text the subsequent day, and went in to pick up my glasses. I was provided my glasses in an acceptable amount of time. They were good as new, and they even gave me a nice soft case which matched the color of the glasses and a cleaning kit. I wish I went to this firm from the start. I actually went to Stanton Optical at first, and it felt like the McDonald's of eye care. I recommend Manufacturer Direct Eyewear. read more

I've been on this place since 2006, and it has outstanding customer services; loved the selections and brands they have there as well.

Recently, I took in a prescription from my Ophthalmologist to have new glasses made. Unfortunately, they don't take my Insurance. However, their prices were better than what I had paid with Insurance at another place. They were so professional and really know what products are best suited for person's face. And, the glasses are made on site so you don't have to wait for weeks to get them. I had my new glasses within the week and have been wearing them ever since. There was a younger guy who waited on me first, he was pleasant but aggressively trying to upsell me a pricey bunch of stuff. Another older dude came over and backed off the hard sell, and got me pretty much what I wanted for what I wanted to pay--which was substantially less than what I had paid in the past. I picked this one based on reviews and while my repair was simple (nose pad fell out) the staff (Stephen I think!) were welcoming, took a look and fixed them free of charge. Very disappointed! I expected more customer service from the store manager. I feel that I was mislead. I called to make sure they were open during this pandemic. I was thankful they were. Walked in, Rich - store manage took care of us, my husband and I. He asked to look at my prescription and asked me where I got it from. I mentioned that I got my previous prescription from Costco. He shook his head and said I got what I payed for. He gave me a quote on lenses only and I asked if this was the best he could do, because it cost as much as the ones from Costco with brand name frames. Let me say that I am pro local businesses and being a business owner in the past I know that is very difficult to compete with the large retailers. Nonetheless you NEVER mislead a customer by giving a "discount" and switching to a cheaper product without notifying me, after letting me know originally that he has the latest technological lenses in the market. I got digital lenses which are 2mm thicker than the competition and plastic instead of polycarbonate. This was not our original agreement and he never said he was switching quality to get me a discount. Unfortunately you lost my business. I wish you had made the right choice to communicate.
