My wife and I have been going to this location for 14 years. When Dr Faustier came on board, things just got better! He has always been at the top of his game! My wife and I truly enjoy going to the eye doctor visit because he makes it such a wonderful experience. Recently, the new ladies in the front have been wonderful and in particular one of the technicians who does the eye scans, Tim, has been excellent! Not to speak for the wife, Lord knows she has a voice of her own, but we highly recommend using Target optical on Hillsboro. read more

Had an appt for 12:15pm on a Sunday. The office called to confirm my appt on the Saturday before and also said they had 2 addtl drs on staff for Sunday. When I got to Target optical there were about 8 ppl walking around looking at glasses and 2 ppl getting fitted for glasses. I heard one person ask how much longer because she has 12 pm and a 12:30 with the optometrist and no one has said anything to her. I proceeded to check in and the young lady who works there looked overwhelmed. She handed me the new patient paperwork and told me to have a seat. I looked around at this very full place and ppl just walking around or standing around and asked her if the drs were on time and she replied "NOPE!" I asked are they running a little behind or should I make a diff appointment for another day. She said "YEP!" I told her I'd call for another appt if I don't find someone else. Thats crazy. At least a courtesy call could've been made to let us know they are running really late. It looked like a circus in there. read more

Had an issue with a purchase, requiring me to come all the way back to the store for an exchange. Very inconvenient, but the way it was handled trumped my disappointment. JESSICA, the manager, came over and made me feel better immediately. She not only apologized and quickly resolved the issue, but more importantly she smiled, while displaying genuine concern, which you can't count on everywhere nowadays. I was already satisfied with her situational response, but then she also handed me a gift card for having to drive all the way back- a most unexpected cherry on the cake! Jessica made a huge impact on my experience and future patronage. As someone who's also in customer service, I hope Target knows what she does for the company. read more

Making an appointment for a new patient was very easy. They got me right in and made the paperwork process very easy. I was handed off to different people to do different things which made the process much faster. The doctor was professional and made everything very simple to understand. When choosing my new frames they were very involved in helping me find just the right pair which was nice. When it came to making sure my lenses was going to be the perfect fit for me they were very invested. When I went back a week later to retrieve my new glasses they didn't have to ask my name, they just knew. They made sure my new glasses felt right before they let me leave. If i could give them one store I would , totally unprofessional. All I can say is I walked into their optical looking to purchase my niece a pair of frames.. when I walked in there was a gentleman working on a computer the doctor sitting in his chair on his computer and a woman helping out customers... no one approached us or asked if we needed help.. but I waited regardless because I thought maybe the woman helping the customer prior to us was the sells rep and was the only one who could sell frames so I waited. After the lady was done with the customer she proceeded to walk over to the gentleman on the lap top and proceed to help him do whatever he was doing ... I waited 30 minutes in total for someone to acknowledge or ask if we needed help and not ONE person asked . I would never recommend this place to anyone. The weekend appointments are so convenient. The office was super busy and the staff were very patient, kind and professional with each person. Dr. Fostier was knowledgeable, informative and took his time with me. I understand the COVID disclaimer and for this reason is why I need to note that after receiving an appt invite, confirming and showing up for said appointment; They didn't my appointment on record. Technical issues with appt systems and I was the second person to have this happen on this same day. Because of COVID you take the extra care to protect your employees and customers. Target should figure a work around for this tech issue to ensure that your customers only come to see you safely and because they have confirmed appt. it makes the customer (me) frustrated because now I have to wait a month go an appt with the same schedule. Target, do better! If it was a 3rd party vendor, contract a vendor that can deliver to your values not one who will make you look bad with your customers. Only reason I gave them two stars is because of the doctors and some of the employees that recognized me and even tried to help. So frustrated! Get your act together! read more

I visited for the first time today, a Sunday. They were very busy, and I have to say, I was impressed with the immediate acknowledgement, by both Jeff and Eric, I received as I walked in. Quickly, I was being helped. I didn't need an eye exam, nor was I purchasing (however, I received the same attention as those customers that were there for those exact services). All I needed was an eyeglass case, eyeglass screws that needed to be tightened and a pair of sunglasses needed a screw to re-attach the right "arm". Both Jeff and Eric were super nice, professional and, clearly, very busy taking care of all customers in an appropriate manner. I was impressed and do look forward to my next visit! read more

I don't know why I continue to waste my time and money at this location. They have messed up my contact order multiple times and I had to call multiple times to find out where they were to find out they never were actually ordered. Then I made my annual eye exam this morning online for 4:30pm. I went through the system, entered all my information, including my insurance and got the you are all set confirmation page. I show up for my appointment at 4:30pm today and get told I don't have an appointment and they can't help me. I tried to explain I did it onlline to be told I must not have done it right. I will thank Jeff, he was very polite and said there may have been a glitch instead of blaming me like the rest of staff. I'm in my 30s and know how to use technology. I'm not an idiot. But thanks to the other staff for insinuating that. This place is garbage. Don't waste your time. I'm also contacting corporate. I walked out and will take my business to a doctor that cares and respects patients. read more

I will start with the good, the eye exam and doctor were knowledgable, pleasant and professional. Unfortunately, the good stopped there. I will bulletize my challenges for brevity during approximately 6-10 visits - I have been in the store on each time it was filthy (stains on the floor, chipped counters, in general tired) - In such a small store, you after 5-10 minutes standing at a counter would elicit a "hello we will be with you shortly... nope nothing. - The employees have to move from one non-functioning computer console to the next, it generally won't be fixed until the reuse an old wifi password, yes I have been in there too many times for too long - So you get your eye exam and just like a car dealership the upsell begins. - The manager Eric Specter (sp), hovers over his staff, interrupts, and tries to get you to buy things you don't want e.g. transition lens that I could not tolerate and returned and ultimately stopped using, thanks Eric! - When Eric speaks with customers in the store he talks "at them" with a clear objective, not on the customer. On the phone, he is even more rude to people. - Is sounds like a new store is being built-out, hopefully it will have a new manager. - Also, a note to Target Corporate you employees are saying the following. They (Target) don't fire us they reduce our hours or make use go to other locations far from home. Maybe Eric is the byproduct of Target corporate policy. With over 500 people working for me worldwide, I recognize a tone from the top problem, it is time to look in the mirror Target and Eric. would like to share my wifes story with you my wife has got glasses they're the last couple years each time lenses have been scratched The manager told us when you purchase the scratch protection plan that does not mean the ones will not scratch well what does that mean Lol makes no sense We were in the store November 26, 2018 he told us to come back in he would replace the lenses and she will get free frames under her insurance once we got there he said there was a miscommunication that the lenses and the frames we would have to pay for that. He said he would give us lenses for free for another pair of glasses what sense does that make, that is what he said he told us which is not true then I told him all a man has in this world is his word he says no all you have is love what does that mean My wife goes there my daughter goes there my mother goes there my mother-in-law goes there and I go there that ends of today due to incompetence.Manager needs to tell the truth I will contact corporate office I will not stop until this matter is resolved just due to the principal. One of the worst experiences with an optical store ever! How they could have Eric managing the place is just beyond me. Someone is not paying attention. 1. the female doctor who saw me first never told me about mono vision. 2. Eric ordered me the wrong color lenses when I clearly told him brown, he ordered dark grey and they were terrible. He also LOST the Zeiss lenses that came with the glasses I gave him. 3. He told me he was giving me progressives and they didn't seem to be included. 4. When i wasn't happy with their product, and since he lost my lenses, I asked him to replicate them. He could not. I then said, please reimburse me for what you lost. I asked for the regional's number, called her once and she returned my call. I called again and NEVER heard back. I asked Eric to reimburse me for the lenses lost and he said he would, then backpedaled and told me to pick out a pair of frames from the store. I didn't want a pair from his store, I wanted my pair returned to their original condition. Now I'm out money and have frames with no lenses to even wear over my contacts and they were very expensive frames. I will NEVER return to Target Optical again. Dr. Fosstier is a gem however and if he were to work elsewhere, I would see him again. As for the other employees, they are all very polite but Eric is a nightmare, imho. read more
