From the moment we walked in, it was clear that Kirschenbaum had no interest in listening. When the patient tried to ask about amblyopia, Kirschenbaum cut them off mid-sentence--repeatedly--insisting their concerns were nonsense and brushing off everything as "just dry eyes." Not only was this dismissive and unhelpful, but it was factually incorrect. Since then, we've consulted two other specialists--both of whom treated us with far more respect and actually addressed the issue. To make matters worse, Kirschenbaum spewed outright falsehoods, claiming that standard therapy doesn't work for adults. That is blatantly untrue, as even the NIH confirms (see link below). How someone this uninformed and arrogant is still practicing is beyond me. Kirschenbaum, your bedside manner is appalling, your knowledge is outdated, and your attitude is disgraceful. Seeing the patient reduced to frustrated tears because of your incompetence was infuriating.
