This LensCrafters takes SO long to do anything. First appointment, the systems shut down and they made an appt for us when the doctor wasn't even available. Next time we made an appt they got the timing wrong. Doctor wanted to make our visit as short as possible and had very little patience. We wish we went somewhere else but they oddly take payment BEFORE services. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else professional and save your time. read more

I have to agree with Dick K I also was helped by Rose and she couldn't have been more accommodating. She took her time and gave me her honest opinion as to which frames looked the best. The frames she suggested were actually the least expensive of all the ones I tried so it was definitely her best choice for me. I picked them up today and am very pleased and happy with my choice. I went back today to get my new glasses adjusted and had the pleasure of having Edward help me. He took a lot of time and got it correct right off the bat! Even with insurance they tried to gouge me at $675 for their offbrand glasses, with all the add-on$ even after telling the slick sales guy I wear these 5 minutes a day. After declining all the up selling, I still paid $175 as I wanted the new frames before an upcoming biz trip. I ordered on a Saturday they are open Sunday but they said the lab would put me in line and they would be ready for pickup probably Monday after 5. Anyway, what was supposed to be completed on Monday by the "in store lab" have not "shipped" 6 days later? BS, I'll spend my money elsewhere. read more

Flat out false advertising and dishonesty about protection plans they sold me a ridiculously expensive pair of corrective lenses prescribed by their in-house doctor. The sold me a protection plan and the sales rep said: " it's a great plan, I have clients that come every year and change to new glasses for $25" . After the first few months the glasses were falling apart and the lenses were loosing a layer of coating. I brought them back and they changed the glasses for $25. Note: My experience happened Feb 2020. My exam with Dr. Verblow went excellently. She's very knowledgeable and caring. While this is my first exam with her I plan to stay with her for my future eye exams. Their technology is top notch and very accurate. With the exam we found out that I didn't really need lenses for astigmatism and that my previous prescription was too high. Thanks, Dr. Verblow. Your thoroughness is greatly appreciated. As for the sales staff, Joanna and Claudia were very professional and caring. Joanna went out of her way to find the best savings I could get. I'm so happy. read more

Beware of false advertising!!!!!! I am at lens crafters and they have a promotional sign in their window Memorial Day weekend exclusive 30% off of frames and 50% off of lenses. So I came in with the Tiffany frames that I had purchased here and had their eye doctor do an exam. The Dr is great and everyone is nice however, they said I couldn't get 50% off my lenses unless I bought new frames so they are deliberately false advertising to get you in here. Then the manager shows me a small flyer in the store with tiny print that states that. beware of their false and misleading advertising!!! So the manager helps me pick out glasses that work with the promotion. After the eye exam I go back to the register to pay for my new promotional glasses . The salesman tells me it is not going through. They call the manager over who is on a lunch break so I wait for her about 10 minutes . She comes to tell me that the glasses I picked do not qualify after all . I have now been in the store 3 hours and 50 minutes. I told them that that I wasn't going to buy anything from them. I am very very disappointed in Lens Crafters!!! The only things that were good here was the receptionist who was beyond nice who offered me water after I asked. (It came from her own supply). I hope this helps future customers from being tricked: (1) They advertise 1-hour glasses. I selected my glasses, and right before I finished the sale, I was told it would actually take two weeks. (2) They added a protection plan to my bill without asking - I didn't discover it until I got home. (3) The "two weeks" promise wasn't accurate. I purchased them on a Saturday and two weeks later I was told they weren't ready "because we don't get deliveries on Saturdays". The on-site doctor office is five star. Very poor customer service basically lied to me and told me that I needed to pay $81 for an eye exam for contacts . I called my eye insurance no such thing I get a free eye exam every year ! I wish I read Matt's review before I went today. The lady who served me said there was a 1 year warranty on the glasses, not, would you like a 1 year warranty for $34.99 added to your bill. Also they advertise 40% off the cost of lenses and when I checked a bill from 2017 for a pair of sunglasses (which lenses should be more expensive) I found they were around the same price. Basically they have inflated their prices from 40% and took off 40% off for this "sale". Anybody else with this issue? I'm going back tomorrow to pick up glasses read more

I thought I did a review already, sorry I didn't. I highly recommend this place. I almost gave up on LensCrafters. It really was like God heard me& wanted me to have a great experience. Not only was the staff nice and friendly but they were also professional. The Dr. was great, took her time ,you don't feel rushed at all. She makes sure you have the right Rx and explains things when need be. I am so happy to call this my new eyeglass/Dr home. I would like to thank this store for their quality service levels. I do not wear prescription glasses, but I had a set of Maui Jim sunglasses that needed the nose pieces replaced. I originally went to this store because of a recommendation, but when I tried to make good on the warranty on my prescription sunglasses (Paid the Extra $$) I have been ignored, the original story was 5-7 days, its been over 2 weeks now and when I call they tell me "Uh, it says they are in progress, thats all I can tell you unless you REALLY want me to check" We, I've been unable to wear the Sunglasses they originally sold me that the coating is clouding up on, and the sun is burning out my retinas while I wait, and never a callback! read more

I ordered glasses on the 30th of November (a Tuesday). I asked how long the glasses should take to be ready. The representative told me as early as 7 days and as long as 10 days (business days to clarify). I call on the 10th day because I was told I'd get a call when they were ready, and was told that it would to take 13 business days for them to be ready. I call today on the 13th day and am now told that they will be ready on Monday, which will be 16 business days. I hate getting the run around, if it's going to take 16 days, tell me from the get go. Don't keep extending my wait and telling me stuff that is false. This is by far the longest wait I've ever had for glasses. I've had glasses since I was 10 years old, and never had to wait more than 7 business days. The only reason that they receive 2 stars from me was from my initial appointment. They were helpful, kind and personable people. Outside of that, I suggest looking around for alternatives. read more

I walked in today, the office manager, a white guy, whose name is Ashley and the tech, a Latin girl, Ana, just looked at me and continued with their conversation and did not greet me until I walked to the desk. They are so rude there and have been this way for years which is the reason why I choose to go to other Lens Crafter. I had my eye exam at the store on August 6, 2018. I ordered glasses based on the RX given by the doctor at Lenscrafters. The glasses arrived 2 weeks later and they were not correct. I could not see with those glasses. I called and went back to the store. The doctor examined my eyes and gave me a new RX and the numbers were totally different than the first one. I took the new RX and ordered the glasses again. Glasses arrived with new RX given by the doctor but they were also not correct and I could not see with them. I called filed a complaint and sent email complaint to the corporate office. They took notes but so far nothing has been done. I requested to talk to the district or regional manager to tell my experience and get an eye exam with a real doctor who knows how to exam an eye. No one contacted me from the corporate. Today is December 26, 2018 and I am still trying to get my correct pair of glasses. I have been using my old glasses all this time. I paid for an eye exam, a few set of glasses and at the end I have nothing but several hundred dollars of expense. I need this to be taken care but the LENSCRAFTERS ignoring my situation. I purchased prescription sunglasses less than one year ago with an anti-glare coating (which I paid extra for). Now, the coating is delaminating to the point where I cannot see out of the glasses. I took them back to the Pompano Beach store and was told by a LensCrafters associate that they could not help me. I then contacted corporate and was advised that I should have been washing the microfiber cloth that i clean my classes with every two weeks to prevent this problem. I was never advised of this policy prior to purchasing the sunglasses or the additional anti-glare coating. Further, this shows that LensCrafters is aware of it's defective product but continues to up-charge customers for it without warning. I am not only extremely disappointed in the lenscrafters products, but also the terrible customer service I have received. I have been a LensCrafters customer for the past 20 years, and i will no longer be purchasing products or have my eyes examined at the LensCrafters store. read more

Rude employee was no help. I walked in and asked about getting new lenses in my Tom Ford frames. The first thing she asked me is am I paying with a credit card. Then she told it it would be $300 before I even had a chance to view the different lenses. She didn't explain anything and I walked out. Went to Visionworks and they put in my lenses with a 40% off discount. I'd rather give them the money since they actually wanted to help me. read more

Excellent customer service. The doctors and technicians were very personable and professional. Getting an eye exam and choosing glasses can be an irritating experience but the employees here were great, even after I had to go back because my prescription felt too strong. The doctor attended to me as soon as I walked in the door and reexamined the glasses and corrected them without hesitation. It was so refreshing meeting genuinely nice people in this town! read more

this would be ZERO stars if that were an option. i had my eye exam here and the receptionist was cranky. i thought nothing of it especially as the fill-in optometrist dr beteta was GREAT. two days later, dec 31, i took my 80+ year old grandmother in to have a much needed eye exam and the same receptionist was horribly rude. she said they were almost closed (despite the company's web site not posting holiday hours). i asked her if we could schedule an appointment for the next day, to which she replied that she would have to log back into her computer to do this. of note, the doctor's office was not yet officially closed. my grandmother asked what was wrong so i replied that the receptionist didn't want to log into her computer to schedule an appointment for us. the receptionist took offence to this and proceeded to defend why she was unable to offer even basic customer service. it seemed she wanted to leave the office early for a holiday with little regard for helping customers. so it seems she is generally cranky, even with elderly patients. so much so that this lenscrafters store general manager felt obliged to come out to help us even after the receptionist stormed off to leave the office. the GM in fact apologized for her behaviour. but apparently the doctor's office is separate from the store, so he could not help us get the exam there, though he did call around to other stores, which we were very grateful for. so my reccomendation would be to take your business elsewhere. my eye exam cost $175 and had i known this doctor's office would treat my grandmother as they did, i would have boycotted them from the start. dr. cohen and his staff at lenscrafters in boynton beach was a far better experience. read more

Looked all over for a certain designer frame and no other eyeglass store or any other LensCrafter had it in stock - only Pompano. I was the only person in the store with 3 sales people there. The older lady with zero personality took my prescription and then tried to persuade me to buy the most expensive lenses at $330 for single view lense, no progressive, nothing. When I told her that I didn't want the most expensive she ignored me and started doing paperwork. The other guy who worked in the store started complaining about one his customers from earlier in the day. Together that had a bitch session. After getting no where I left without my frames as I decided I wasn't going to give them my business. Now I understand why they were the only store who had my frames in stock - obviously everyone else walks away like I did. Take your business to the LensCrafters in Fort Lauderdale.
