I visited Dr Haiman and his team about a month ago to treat an eye infection. He was very thorough in his examination. He took the time to explain everything to me. I felt very comfortable. My eye got better quickly. I've been to a few different eye doctors the last few years and Dr Haiman by far is the best. He takes time to listen and then try to find a solution. Cristina one of the technicians was my first contact with the office. She made me feel confident about seeing Dr Haiman to heal my eye infection. All of the technicians are very nice. I will highly recommend to my family and friends. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Haiman for at least five years. I really enjoy being in his office, despite it being in my absolute LEAST place in the whole wide world, Walmart. Everyone on his staff is kind and efficient. I have never waited too long to be seen. I have cheated on him and gone other places, but have returned to him, despite him not taking my insurance! They all know their stuff, and he doesn't skip anything, he crosses every T and dots every "Eye." haha... Truthfully he's stellar, and I don't mind entering the depths of hell to get to his office. This Dr. and their team are really a scammers. Avoid this place as much as you can. I thought they are part of Walmart, but not they independent. The are independent burglars. I went to this place to get a prescription for my daughter glasses and those burglars are asking me to sing several documents rated to something totally different to an eye prescription. Look like they don't get too much money for and eye prescription then they try to find something else to bill to your medical insurance. In my case they invent a high pressure eye. I never requested them an eyes pressure measure. They will do it without your consent. Resume, Iwent for a prescription for my dougther glass ($10.00 copay) and got a medical bill ($155.00) for high pressure eye to a 13 years girls that i didn't request and I either beleive in that high pressure measure. Now I'm in communication with my medical insurance to void that claim because I didn't request the exam that those scammers wants to bill me. If you want to void an issue, go and get the prescription in any other place. Don't go to there believe me. Read all the google reviews to confirm that the same situation happened to several people. I wish I had read reviews before blindly trusting this Walmart vision location. In 35 years of eye doctor appointments I've never experienced this frustrating and money-grubbing situation. DO NOT go here unless you have a medical condition you want an opinion for. My husband came as a new patient for a basic contact lens exam, which should've been only a $10 co-pay with our insurance. One of the forms we signed (without realizing ramifications) was that if they turn it into a medical appointment and not a vision exam it will not be treated under vision insurance. What should've been $10 cost us $250 on the spot. Feels like a huge scam!! I would never recommend this Walmart location. read more

After showing up to an appointment with the optometrist I've been using for a few years and discovering they no longer take my insurance I was at a loss for what to do. A short discussion with the receptionist had my out of pocket at $450.00 for an exam and prescription sunglasses, ekkk! I decided to try to find a provider on my plan since I still need to pay my mortgage and feed my kids. Quickly checking Yelp I found Sunrise Eye Care. As others have mentioned the doctor in inside Walmart. I don't go to Walmart EVER but I decided to make an exception. Dr. Haiman's office is in Walmart but he is not technically affiliated with Wallyworld, from what I understand. Found the office to be very professional and Dr. Haiman to be extremely attentive and personable. The office appears to have state of the art equipment and it's very clean. I was extremely pleased to find this practice. I decided to order my prescription sunglasses from the Walmart eye-wear department. The lady who helped me choose my glasses was very nice and efficient. I found a pair of titanium frames that appear quite suitable for work sunglasses. Not much in the way of designer frames available at Wallyworld but they did have a good selection. You can take the Dr's prescription to any eye glasses place. I understand ordering glasses online is a good option but my head is narrow, and weasel-like so I need to try glasses on. No up-sales and I was out the door for..... wait for it....$35.00 glasses and exam. Yay! I can feed my kids this week. Cupcakes for all. read more

No impressed. I had an appointment for my 15 yr old daughter and since my husband works i took my others two children also, 12& 9 .When we were called in, mind you we were in an exam room already, Dr. Haiman says one other person can go in with her. So of course i went and had to put my other children back into the main waiting room with strangers. While in the room, not once did the Dr introduce himself or discuss with me ANYTHING that he was doing to my daughter. He spoke directly to her. I sat there as if invisible. What's worse is he found a spot inside her retina and told her about it and scared the living daylights out of her saying it could turn into cancer and she might need radiation if it gets worse! He went ahead and did extra exams that he NEVER asked me to do, even though i probably would have said yes. My daughter left scared for her life because of the find and what he discussed with her if it turned worse. So i had to calm her down and all she could think of that night is that she has cancer in her eye. Then the best part is i have and eye plan and that visit was only to cost me $10 co pay. I get to the front desk and handed an $85 bill. I asked why and she told me he did extra medical exams. I said i checked "no" in the paperwork he gave me and in the room he directed no questions my way, nor asked me my permission to do extra exams. Let alone even speak to me. The woman billed both my health plan AND my eye plan. Not happy. My husband went back the next day and asked the another rep that wasn't there when i was why both our plans were billed and he said i verbally approved it in the exam room! THE DR NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED ME LET ALONE ASK ME PERMISSION FOR ANOTHER EXAM. The reason you thought she had a lot of questions is because you were speaking solely to her. Nothing was directed to me, the mom. I felt u comfortable being you didn't ask me anything or direct anything towards me. It was all directed towards her, the minor. read more

Needed to get my Vision exam for a racing license and Dr. Haiman and his tech were very accommodative and friendly. I was in and out within 30-45 mins. They explained everything very diligently. Awesome place, quick, easy, and the best doctor's office experience ever. read more

I have had wonderful experiences with Dr. Haiman and his staff for the last ten years. He is professional, patient, up to date on the latest treatments, and more than willing to answer any questions that I have in a very clear and understandable manner. I have a couple of issues with my eyes that require treatment outside of a standard vision exam. Dr. Haiman consistently and persistently works to alleviate and treat these issues. when you get at sunrise eye care, they told that eye exam costs $75 and then Dr Haiman begins to practice exams that you didn't ask and the bill increase 300%, without they ask you if you want to practice these, totally disagree. you must take care! read more

So I ordered a years worth of daily eye contact lenses which turned out to be $320. After about a week and a half, I just received them a couple hours ago, but then I started to just check them in case things were left out or anything. I counted 4 boxes each with 90 lenses, which one would think that would be 360 days right? Then I started to see that two of these boxes was for the left, and the other two were for the right. This meant that I only got 180 days worth of daily contact lenses. So I went back to see where the rest of them were and was told that I got my annual worth of contacts even though I explained to them that this is, in fact, only half a years worth because each eye is one contact lense(360) times two (because we all have a left and a right eye) which would then equal to the amount of 720. They told me that would be two years worth and would cost a lot more but they didn't even tell me that they counted the boxes as if I were to use these lenses like I was a cyclops. I learned a very good lesson today at least and it seems very likely that I won't be coming here ever again. I have been treated for Glaucoma for 32 years and have seen a wide variety of eye doctors and specialist. Including two top notch $$$ clinics in the U.S. Despite the prestige of those clinics they were unable to match the Wow experience of Dr. Haiman. He is meticulous in his exams and compared to my other doctors his knowledge is nothing short of impressive. I have been a patient of Dr. Haiman for the past five years and can't imagine where I'd be without him. When I first became a patient he needed to go back and review bi-annual exam notes, visual fields, optic nerve photo's etc. for all those years from different providers in different formats. Needless to say it was a very thick file. When I showed up for my first appointment he had all those printed records and had made notes about them along the way. He casually mentioned he spent the weekend reviewing them. How many doctors invest that much time and then only billed for a regular exam. His concern was then and now that I am relatively young to have Glaucoma. He told me that we needed to do everything possible to prevent the progression of this condition which could be complete loss of sight. It's been five years and my eye pressure is lower now than it was when I was first diagnose all those years ago I have no further loss of sight. He is quick to implement new treatments medication and I credit that proactive care with where I am today. He and his staff always make me feel valued and welcome. Several reviewers have mentioned the Walmart location and I admit Walmart doesn't bring with it thoughts of quality. Read the reviews and don't let the location sway you from this top notch doctor. I drive 25 minutes each way and would drive further for the kind of care he provides! read more

I went in for a routine exam for glasses for $79 and it turned into a medical exam for dry eyes and the bill jumped to $148! Nothing different was done and the price doubled?!?!
