You walk in the door and numerous employees greet you and ask if they can help. The owner, Brian is super knowledgeable and very helpful. The optometrist was just wonderful. I have never had such a positive experience in a optical store. The glasses I ordered arrived a week early and they are great. I will recommend Sunset Vision to all of my friends and family. read more

Dr. Zoe Fineberg was incredible with me. Was such a smooth process and made me feel comfortable throughout my entire time at Sunset Vision Center. Highly recommend seeing her as she will make your time enjoyable! read more

Today I saw the new Optometrist, Dr. Zoe Fineberg and she was fantastic. Polite, thorough, funny, pleasant and quick. I have been wearing glasses for (yikes) 40 years and She is among the best Dr.s I've seen. Highly Recommend! Also, if you're buying eyewear, they have a great selection ... Everything from Rayban to Prada and I highly recommend that you talk to Josh Aragon. He is patient, honest, speaks Spanish and is great with kids! read more

New owners; same incredible staff. Best selection of contemporary glasses in the area.

My husband and I seen Dr Kimmelman yesterday for our eye exams and as always he provides excellent service. The optical department is always so helpful and friendly. Everyone does their best to accommodate your needs. There is a large selection of frames and designer sunglasses to choose from. Sunset Vision has a wonderful team of knowledgeable professionals who will be happy to assist you and this group comes highly recommended. Kate and Mike M read more

If I could give this place a zero I would. Dr. Kilmerman is the worst professional I have dealt with in my life. So unprofessional. The first time I went there to get an examination and potential update on my prescription, Dr. Kilmerman was rude and nasty. I told him that I thought I needed cataract surgery because of the trouble I had. He did his tests and at the end he said, "no, you will need surgery in a year, let's work on getting you glasses". During the eye exam I felt like he didn't have time for me. Then after all that, I get my glasses and I still could not see well. The staff were very nice and said it may take a few weeks to get used to it. I did, but after 2 weeks I returned and met with Dr. Kilmerman. During that meeting he said, "no you need surgery". So basically, he made a sale, was extremely rude and unprofessional, and then when his findings weren't right, he basically brushed me off. Now I am working with amazing professionals and I will never go back to Dr. Kilmerman. You all should never go too! read more

Stay away from this place! Terrible customer service and charge different price. They called me and inform a price for the lens ($80.00) and I refused the blue light service which bring the price to ($160). When my husband got to the sore they said I order the blue lens and after he refused, they charge him $99.00 for the lens they said it was $80.00. Not professional and charge different price for the estimate. read more

I just came here to get a very light 0.5 prescription pair of eyeglasses for my daughter, covered by Medicaid. She has cerebral palsy and opted to pass on getting them properly fitted in the store and instead opted to stay in the comfort of the car and have me run in and pick them up. Josh greeted me right away from the back, expeditiously found my daughter's frames and went out of their way to come out to the car in the parking lot to ensure a proper fit. Josh went back inside momentarily and my daughter disclosed that the frames were the incorrect color. When Josh came back they informed me they realized the frames didn't match the description in the system, so they went ahead and switched the glasses to the correct frames and ensured a proper fit again afterwards. Stellar experience, would highly recommend. read more

Sunset Vision Center - Josh ensuring a proper fit for my daughter's first pair of glasses. Thanks Josh! - Optometrists Near Me - Sunrise, Florida

If I could give this "vision" center zero stars, I would. The eye doctor was very nice but the salesman was a complete buffoon. He spoke loudly, calling us cheap for not buying the most expensive glasses. This clown dripped with condescension and was pretty patronizing for someone who could not explain to me the benefit amount of frames and lenses. I walked out and decided to buy the frames elsewhere. I called for the PD to order a set of frames online and was told by the rude receptionist that even though I paid for the exam, the PD was proprietary information and would not be given to me neither in person, over the phone or via fax. read more

i have been going here for 10 years . Through the years I have gone other places. But none match to this place! I always end up back here. I love Brian! The prices are amazing but more importantly is the quality! The doctor is a great doctor too. Everything in one stop. They have. huge selection of frames. read more

This review is long overdue. I had been getting my son's glasses at this center since he was 5 years old (he is 14 now). Little did I know that they were selling glasses of poor quality until I ordered a pair for myself. In March 2022, I decided to get my own prescription glasses at Sunset Vision Center along with my son's. My husband spent a total of $700 for my glasses and my son's. I got progressives and my son single eye vision. The sales person sold us "top of the line" blue light filter lenses. When we returned to pick up our frames, my son's lenses had this strange purple hue to them. And my glasses were intolerable. I got a headache from them as soon as I put them on. I tried to wear the glasses for a few days but could not tolerate them. I returned to the center and they suggested that I get rechecked by the eye doctor. They suggested I go to their eye doctor. However, I had been going to my eye doctor for so many years I decided to return to him. He was a reputable optometrist in Weston and I trusted him. My doctor evaluated me again and the prescription was found to be the same. My doctor checked the lenses from Sunset Vision and stated they were a 'no name' brand. I returned to the eye care center and provided them with my doctor's status on the recheck. They agreed to get another lens without the blue light filter. When I returned for this second pair of lenses, I still experienced headaches with them. After a few days, I returned to the center a third time and when I complained of headaches, the owner and his assistant began to speak poorly of my optometrist in Weston. They insisted that my prescription just had to be wrong and that it was my optometrist's fault. They refused to refund me for the glasses and were very rude. I was left with their poor quality lenses in Prada frames. I had to use my old pair of glasses for one year until my insurance would cover lenses again. Fast forward one year to March 2023. My optometrist in Weston retired and so I found another reputable optometrist in the Plantation area. And guess what! After an entire year, my prescription did not change! They were the same as my former optometrist's prescription (which Sunset vision stated was wrong). I explained my experience to the Plantation provider and they informed me that some centers will sell "blue light filter lenses" of poor quality, which actually involves wrapping regular lenses with a poorly made wrap of some sort. I had brought in my Prada frames but was hesitant to purchase lenses with blue light filter. However, my Plantation provider assured me that I would have no problems with their lenses. And they were absolutely correct! Their lenses were a perfect fit with my original prescription. No more headaches! And that's not all! I should mention that when my Plantation provider checked my benefits, they discovered that Sunset Vision never even bothered to bill my insurance for lenses in 2022!!! Thus, I could have gotten lenses much sooner than waiting a year. So the moral to this story? Avoid Sunset Vision at all costs. They will take your hard earned money and give you garbage in return! read more

I found out they charged me for Verilux and Crizal, but really used some cheap generic brand instead. They wasted my money.

This place has the best selection of glasses in Broward county. The staff is amazing, super professional and very helpful. I highly recommend sunset vision - they have great sunglasses too! read more

They are absolutely the best! I drive from Miami, but it is worth it. They take their time with you and go above and beyond. They know their stuff. When they help me pick the lenses, they find me the best quality at the best price. It's also a lot of fun. They help me pick the perfect frames for me. They are fabulous!!!!! read more

Do NOT WASTE your time going here! Glasses was horribly made! And the skinny guy with glasses was very rude! He said because the glasses was free through my insurance was the reason the glasses are the way they are! He said they came from China for 3 cents! The nerve! do they not realize without my insurance they would not even be in business! Disgusting attitude to have! read more

I filed a complaint with the Florida optometrist administration regarding the care that I received here absolutely deplorable. when I first met the optometrist he literally laughed in my face because I have a high prescription. And basically told me that I should've told him that I had a high prescription when I made the appointment. As a patient, I am not aware that this is something that he needs to be made aware of since I've never had a problem with any other optometrist in my entire life. He went on to demonstrate narcissistic responses when I explained to him that I was not aware that he needed to know this information, and he stated to me "" you came in here and hit me over the head" And asked me why don't I go back to where I came from he just didn't want to take the time to order the contacts that I need it, he was very nasty and rude and his receptionist appears to be afraid of him as she just goes along. When he laughed at me I asked what was he laughing about and he just shook his head and walked away a patient should never feel embarrassed about their condition. I was born this way, and every other optometrist I've had has been very professional and willing to help , he is a scam artist and a joke. They are only there for your money. I observed I their receptionist explaining to another patient that they will be charging additional fees screaming out into the lobby that she was a diabetic and it was needed. What happened to HIPAA laws why are you communicating someone else's business out in the open I am reporting them to the Florida optometry administration read more

We went there to fill prescription for glasses, were asked for insurance information and we were talked to as if they were working through my insurance. At first the owner said that polycarbonate lenses were not covered by my insurance, when, in fact, I know for sure that they were covered. So they checked again and confirmed. Then they said that transitions lenses were not covered, and charged me for those. Once home, I called the insurance and was told that transitions lenses were in fact covered by insuranse in full. I called Sunset Vision Center, asking why I was charged, and was told that it was because they were out of network with my insurance. It sounded strange, because the owner clearly was checking my insurance, was talking to me about my insurance, he factored the lenses' insurance copay into the total price, did not charge for polycarbonate, etc. However, after a few phone calls, they refunded the deposit and I went to fill my prescription elsewhere. read more

I think I will stay away from this place. As I walked in the first thing I was asked was " Is there insurance I need to look up". I responded "not yet". Three seconds later " do you have a prescription" my response "can I look at these glasses if you don't mind ?" Like seriously don't bombard me with questions as soon I get in the store. Give me an opportunity to look around and decide if we need to discuss those things. Such a turn off. read more

Sunrise Vision Center is the reason why you should stay away from the "big box stores" !It is that family feeling every time we walk in. We have been going to Brian's for more then 15 years and will not go anywhere else. We continue to go there year after year because they will always do whatever it takes to make things right! If you want customized and personalized service for your eye glasses then Sunrise Vision Center is your place. He gets busy so you may have to be patient to be assisted, but thats because they are giving everyone there the same high level of attention. read more
