I called and made an appointment. They confirmed that they take my insurance. The day before my appointment Ivy called and claimed she couldn't find my insurance. I asked her why she waited until the day before my appointment and she insisted that she's been calling me, but I'm not answering the phone. Nonsense. I checked all my calls. No one has called from there. I asked her if she left me a voicemail and she responded. Do you check your voicemails? I had no missed calls and no voicemails. What an incredible waste of time I don't know why they confirmed that they took my insurance when they don't and then waited till the day before my appointment to let me know they don't take my insurance.. Clearly this woman was lying to me about calling and leaving me messages. read more

The office staff also provide amazing customer service and are always helping with a smile. We find their prices on glasses and for services very competitive, and their glasses selection is ample. First and last time going here, It took almost a month to get my glasses and they still couldn't get them right.

just now-Edit I went there for the first time last August. Love the front desk staff and the doctor. I was little disappointed when the glasses didn't work as they were supposed to be. The girl who took my measurements and the tech in the back office asked me to bring a spare frame and they will give me a free lenses fixed to it only for reading so I can use the glasses I spent over $440 for other things. What a wonderful idea :-). But I made sure the glasses I purchased were fixed. The doctor was very kind to make everything right. They had to do the lenses for the second time. I would have given them 5 out of 5 stars if they had done what the customers ask for. I didn't want a progressive glasses and to date I am not using the glasses. I bought a blue light glass from Amazon for computers. Overall, despite of my unpleasant experience I would go back to them this year. read more

I was truly amazed with the service I received at Krisel Eye. I took my daughter who needed glasses and she is difficult to say the least. Katherine and her staff were so patient and helpful taking their time providing me several options for her. These people are a complete RIPOFF!! Went there because my best friend is a single mother with two children, she works in a very famous hospital so she has the best vision insurance. Not only this so called "doctor" charged her over $800, but she told my friend that her insurance was perfect. Little she knows that I did a little bit more of research and turns out that her insurance was never used by this group of SCAMMERS, but she was overcharged for a pair of Anne Kleins and a pair of Ray Bans for her little kid, that you can find at Walmart for $50. Also, we went to Bascom Palmer Institute in Plantation and the professional staff there explained us that for both glasses my friend only had to pay $200, because her insurance would cover her $700. Do NOT go to this people. After an Attorney called them, they returned $160 to my friend as a "courtesy". We are going to pursue this matter to the FULL extend of the law!!! Be forewarned!!! Wonderful staff!!! Went over on kind of an emergency because my husband's glasses were broken (and he is bliiiiiind!!). After finding out (within 1 minute of walking in) that they were irreparable, one of the employees found a pair of frames almost identical to the ones I brought and and put the lenses in. $99 for the frames. I've been coming here about two years . They used to be great but lately they have lost my contact order twice . They forgot to call me to cook them up. Organization has not been the best and needs some improvement. I would not recommend anyone to get sclera contacts from this office . The doctors who are there everyday has minimal information and knowledge regarding at home care and this was the worst experience I've had with them despite being able to actually see. This service is outsourced to another doctor who is only in the office once a week. She is great but I'd recommend you see her in her office for easier access to information. read more

Just over three years ago a neighbor of mine recommended Dr. Krisel, to me. I took his advice and I couldn't be happier. Upon arrival I found the office to be spotless, and well organized. The assistant greeted me with a smile and asked how may I help you today ? I advised her I had an appointment with Dr. Krisel. Actually .... just a few minutes later I was see by the Dr. Before my exam the Dr. inquired what Rx's. I was taking along with other questions that would reflect on my vision. My blood pressure was checked all-so. I am in my 60's and ''never '' had an optometrist be so specific. After this battery of tests along with good conversation all my tests we done. All was well with my vision. It was obvious to me that Dr. Krisel, raises the bar with his professionalism. I salute him for a job well done. Today 7/11/18, I returned for another eye exam. To make a long story short... I was treated the same way, the office was still show-room condition and his exam was 5, minutes after I got there. Dr. Krisel's, exam is second to ''NONE '' ! Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable, they explained what they were doing every step of the way. They took the time to sanitize the equipment before use. There is an option to not have your eyes dialated, instead they use a machine that performs the same function (this option is a $39 charge but luckily my insurance covered it) which I preferred. read more

I visited this doctor in Nov 2013 for prescription contact lenses. I have been wearing contacts for the past 16 years. I use colored lenses only, and during my eye exam I had colored lenses on. I have an amazing insurance carrier which covers the cost of the exam and the cost of eye wear. After the exam the woman at the front desk had me sign the paper work and asked what eye wear I wanted to purchase with my remaining insurance coverage. I declined and she said okay have a nice day. I had to request my prescription and I later found out that the prescription written for a specific type of contact lense that most companies do not carry. Now I have to go back to their office and waste more time to receive the lenses prescription I use. The greed of this office attempting to get every dollar I have under my insurance coverage is the equivalent of a used cars sealesman's tactics. A loss of a client is no big deal I hope everyone who reads this won't make the same mistake I did by leaving the office with out a ledgibly written prescription for the type of eye wear they use. The resolution the doctor recently offered me by a voice mail left by his office aid was another eye exam with the co-pay of $50 for a colored contact lense prescription. I later got him on the phone for a second offer of him waiving the $50 co-pay. I paid $110 for the first contact lense exam. This doctor is like none other that I have ever experienced. What I wish I could figure out is why his office aid was ready to order colored contacts for me before I had a fitting for them. read more
