Second time customer 1st pair of glasses they had to redo the 1stbtime because the prescription wasn't right. But I gave them a second chance and wen to buy reading glasses about a month or so and no one ever called to tell me my glasses have been there waiting for me. The frames were too big for my face and needed to be tightened .didn't realize when I picked them up but to tight the arms they bent one inwards. What???? $500 FOR A pair of glasses and you bend the arm so it fits my face. Is that how these things are done ? You bend the arms on a brand new pair of $500 glasses. Had a HORRIBLE experience. I called the office located at the add shown on Google, in Lighthouse Point. The day of my appointment I was called to confirm my appointment. I asked for directions and found out that the Lighthouse Point office had been closed since last October. Due to where I live, their Coral Springs office is going to take me 45 - 60 minutes to get there. (strike 1) When I arrived, the doctor wasn't there and I had to wait 45 minutes before he returned. (strike 2) Then, I had to wait for the technician to go over the glasses with me. By the time I left, I had been there for almost 3 hours. I will say, I felt like the exam was thorough. When I finally got the call to say my glasses were ready, I was told that I could stop in on Saturday, but I had to be there before 1 as that was the time they closed. (different then the timeline on the internet) I arrived at 12:30 and was told that the receptionist almost was going to leave early, but she was glad she didn't. ME TOO! She hands me my glasses. No technician there to check the glasses fit and prescription (strike 3) and I had to pull up something on my phone to see if I could read with them. That was a first. I noticed that if I put a hand over one eye, the vision of the other eye was blurry and visa versa. The receptopmost told me that I would have to make an appointment to come back for a RX check. BTW, the doctor leaves at 4, M-F. Then I found out that the doctor is not there on Saturday's. The next time I can take of work, he is out of town. Although I have insurance, my $500+ out of pocket glasses are non-refundable. I was offered no case and/or cleaning clothes. Absolutely terrible! Do not go here! I wish I could give 0 stars! This experience happened Feb 2020. TLDR: Both Dr. and sales associate were unprofessional. Their technology is HIGHLY outdated. Associates do not know anything about glasses. Doctor doesn't care about new patients. They would not give me copies of my prescription. Place is dirty and unkempt. My appointment was at 2:30pm. I waited a half an hour for the doctor to see me while he was with another patient just having a casual conversation. Not sure if he knew about my Appt but the door was left open and I could hear everything. Once he finally saw me he seemed bothered to help me and wouldn't look me in the eye. It seemed like he didn't care. I came in for my yearly contact lens exam. He claimed that my rx needed to be raised. I told him that I didn't have a pair of updated eye glasses and he suggested that I get a pair so I gave in. Faye, the sales associate was already dealing with another customer who was very unhappy. After deciding on a pair she tried to enter the order in to the computer. The computer wasn't even on! It took so long to boot because it was operating on Windows Vista! She couldn't find the pair in the system and had to call someone on her cell phone to manually enter it in the system. When I asked her about the different lens options she did not know any of the answers and had to literally GOOGLE IT on the computer in front of me!!!! She didn't know the difference between polycarbonate and high-index lenses. She must have been new and in training, but really?! I was not confident in making a purchase. It had been a couple hours already because she still couldn't figure out the system. I told her that I didn't want to order them today and I'd think about it and I just wanted to get a copy of my rx. She was really hesitant and said that it wouldn't be much longer. Then she offered to hold the frames and give me her personal cell phone number once I was ready to order. Um...what?! After a highly frustrating situation, I simply asked for my rx for my contacts and glasses. It was like pulling teeth!! They made me wait for Dr. G to approve. When he came he out he was confused and at first did not want to release my rx to me. While standing at the front desk he took out a ruler and proceeded to take my eye measurements right then and there which made me very uncomfortable. I finally got my rx for my glasses but still needed my contact lens rx. I couldn't take it anymore and simply left, defeated and frustrated. It was already 5:30pm! I decided to visit LensCrafters at the Pompano Citi Center and it turned out the rx I had was incorrect! I had previously gotten my eye exam and rx from Eyesite the year prior. (Keep in mind, I've contacted Eyesite for my contact lens prescription but no response and I never received it.) My astigmatism was just .5 and the rx was too strong for my eyes. I didn't need astigmatism lenses! I was paying for much more expensive lenses than I actually needed. They offered me a discount for next year's exam and gave me 2 copies of my contact lens prescription. Wow! What a difference! read more

Ok after 10 weeks of waiting for my prescription I finally had enough of the run around. I now don't have any contacts bc the office ladies have more excuses on what delay they drum up in order not to give it to me. I paid to see the Dr Brittany (awesome btw) and even expressed my dislike of the "pressure to buy there from office personnel" when I told them I was going to shop around. I did get my glasses from another place after that and am very pleased with Sam's. I don't mind buying but don't pressure me and don't Not give me my prescription when I've patiently waited weeks on end. I changed eye doctors because of the same stupidity from eyeglass world in Ft Lauderdale. What is it with these places ? Wake up eye doctors! People are going to shop for a better deal. read more

This is the best experience I ever had in an eye center in my life. I arrived one morning to Eye Site Vision Center after I had a terrible accident and needed urgently a new pair of glasses. Ms. Ila was very very caring and understanding of my situation and was able to help me not only to find a nice pair of glasses but was able to accomodate to my budget. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE,HORRIBLE. I took my kids there last year placed the order for my daughters contacts waited 7months and still no contacts even though i called and showed up several times. the fish tank has mold growing in it and the place looks like it could use a cleaning service. The rates go up at the blink of an eye and BE AWARE of a "fitting fee" of 159.00 just because. When i ask about the "fitting fee" the front desk attendant had no idea of what that was and the doctor gave the description of we have to make sure the lenses fit well i never put the contact lenses in my eyes. what a lame charge just another way of charging more $$$$ besides when i came in for the visit this fee was never mentioned at all. Then they claimed they tried calling me but still the contacts haven't been said i owed for the retina exam when i said that i had already paid for that, they looked in the computer for 10 minutes and couldn't find them. The staff is uneducated and they seem like they charge what ever the doctor scribbles on a piece of paper. If you walk in the office with a name brand bag or jewelry prepare for the prices to be jacked up without notice. read more

And, he seems like he's high half the time you're in there. Now, they've given me a prescription that is incorrect!! The worst service and glasses. I paid in full for three Pair of glasses. It took multiple trips and multiple returns to finally get glasses from them. It took over three months to get all three back. The "doctor" didn't have the courtesy or professionalism to return any of my telephone call messages left with his staff. I will not send any of my family members nor recommend to anyone. read more

Since last night my left eye has been tearing. I figured I would wait until the morning and if it was still tearing I would make an appointment with my eye doctor. Of course it was still tearing. I'm pretty lucky I've known my eye doctor since sixth grade and went all the way through high school with him also so I thoroughly trust him 100%. I got an appointment at 2:30 filled out my paperwork and went into the examination room. I read the little letters off at the chart and I read the lines on a piece of paper that they gave me and they said my eyesight has not diminished since the last time I had been there. Then came the big question what did I do to my eye? I said you have three options I cut my own hair so I could have gotten a little piece of hair in my eye I cut my own grass so it could have been a shear blade of grass or the other night I was in some crazy sex chair and bodily fluids were flying all over and it hit me in the eye. The last one is total fabrication I've never been in any sex chair... Not yet. I had winked at the eye doctor so he knew I was just kidding around because the lab technician had her back to me while I was saying the fake reason... She said I think I need to leave the room that's when I told her I was just joking about the sex chair. My initial exam was not that much and it was a piece of sand in my eyes that had to be removed I also got a prescription for allergy eye drops somehow I must have allergies. Those drops are very very expensive over $200. I am glad I went in and had my I looked at the sand was really hurting it and making it very runny I didn't want anyone to think I was crying over them. A huge thank you to dr. Goberville. Always good to see classmates especially when they're doctors and they can help you when you're in pain or in need. I return on the 10th for a follow-up check up. I do not recommend this doctor...avoid this place! I was seen Monday for a medical issue in my eye -myself and my pharmacist have been attempting to reach him all week to resolve a prescription issue with no call back from him or a representative. I am now headed into the weekend in pain and no medicine for my eye. Doctor strolled in the office an hour after my appointment time on his cell with no care in the world. My husband and I are Lighthouse Point residents and we prefer supporting local businesses. Based on our customer experience at this store, we will never return. Aside from reading some negative reviews and not being totally happy with their selection of eyeglasses, we still decided to give them our business. Long story short, we ended up with a store credit from a prior transaction and I decided to purchase a pair of Gucci sunglasses. Along with the store credit, I had to pay an extra $329 for the glasses. When I got home, I went on the Gucci site and saw the same Gucci glasses that I paid over $600 at Eye Site Vision Center were $375. I was shocked! I can understand a markup from the online price but 160%, REALLY? They refused to work with me and claimed that they didn't have a return policy. The worst experience I ever had! What a rip off! I told the front desk I had VSP Vision insurance, ok, no problem, went in for the exam, explained I had been wearing glasses for a year to give my eyes a break (exam for those elsewhere). I would like to go back to contacts, because I wear bifocals, he insisted I try the multi focal daily lenses, was a little leery. He was very persistent, unbenounced to me, how very expensive they would be, so said I would give it a try. He gave me trials for a week so we could see how I felt about them. I proceeded to be taken to the eye glass section, so they could sell me eyeglasses as well as a back up for contacts. Before I could get a word in they were calculating all the things I should get with the lenses, etc. Explained I did not want to order any eyeglasses. They then advised me of a "fitting fee" for contacts for $110.00! What! I have never been charged this in all the years of wearing contacts! I said wait, no one advised me of this until now, after the exam had been done, well you have to pay it, exam has been completed! Ok now I am really upset, so I use my $150 of coverage to pay for the $110 outrageous fitting fee! They also informed me I should purchase a year of contacts to get discount and rebates and save some money! $210 per eye per month! What! I had to make appointment for recheck 2 weeks out because of 4th of July holiday. So I return 2 weeks later and had made up my mind I was not paying this kind of money and would rather stick with what I wanted, monthly lenses for just far away, when I told him this, he copped an attitude, would not even look me directly, kept his back to me while typing in the computer and mumbling, well, these are not good for your eyes, etc. and again tried to sell me something more expensive, when I stuck to my guns, he just shooed me out of his office with attitude. He gave me a trial pair of the monthly and said I had to come back again in a week. Then I returned and had to see another Dr. She did not question me, but as I was leaving they asked me will I be purchasing the year of lenses, explained I am not purchasing anything from here, they asked why and I explained of my disappointing experience, I will take my business elsewhere! Just write my prescription which I have paid dearly for and let me be on my way! Will never recommend this place or this doctor.
