I contacted Appliance Repair Services when my Samsung electric dryer stopped heating and I had confidence in Lee from our initial discussion. On the phone he told me some of the issues he'd seen with electric Samsung dryers in the past and what those repairs might cost. I appreciate that he provided this feedback on the call so my husband and I could talk through some scenarios that evening (e.g. if the repair price is over $x we'll get a new dryer). Just as Lee said he would do he called me the next day when he was on his way and he was perfectly on time per the time given the day before. Given COVID he wore a mask (as did I) which I appreciated. He quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to replace the bad heating element. His business description says that he tries to stock commonly needed parts in his van and lucky for me, he had the part that was needed to effect the repair on his first visit. Hooray. I really appreciate the effort that Lee puts into assessing commonly needed parts, ordering them, stocking them and floating the costs. Overall it took Lee an hour to assess, fix and test my dryer for what I thought was a reasonable fee for such high quality service. It feels good to know I have a reliable appliance repair company in my proverbial Rolodex!

We wasted all summer with them trying to get a lemon of a dishwasher repaired or replaced under warranty, which was the THIRD appliance we'd purchased from Shore Appliance in three years. Even as a regular customer it seems, you won't get its promised "highest level of service" -- what you will get is a repair service phone tree seemingly designed to maximize your time on hold, which may or may not let you leave a message, which messages may or may not actually be returned, and which if you finally do get to interact with an actual human being by email or phone, you'll get a lot of excuses about how busy they are, if not indifference. The bottom line is we did get our replacement dishwasher from Bosch in September, but no thanks to Shore Appliance, which appeared to be completely happy to be out of the picture at that point. Next time, we'll just go to one of the national big box stores, where we'll probably get better prices, and where we already expect that if anything goes wrong we'll just be treated like a number.

Claimed to have fixed my dryer and quickly identified issues with my refrigerator and dish washer. I paid him for the labor AND gave him a deposit for the parts to repair the refrigerator and dish washer. He promised to return within no more than 1 week. I paid a total of $375 and he hasn't been back since. Numerous text message exchanges and voice mails but 4 months later, he still has not shown up. I attempted to dispute the charge with my bank but Terrapin Appliance must also be disputing on their end. To make matters worse, a REAL appliance repair company showed up and accurately diagnosed the problem with my appliances. So not only are the folks who work for Terrapin Appliance apparently thieves, they are also bad at their jobs. DO NOT USE THEM!
