This experience was terrible all around. The technician didn't even introduce himself when he…read morearrived and it went downhill from there. It took him an hour before we could remove my current mounted tv. I was the one who figured out how it came off and did most of the work to get it off. He then measured wrong and we had to remove the tv so he could fix it. Except he couldn't get his hands in back to release the mount, so I had to do it again. Along the way the mount was damaged and an HDMI cable that I had snaked through the wall was also damaged. He then blamed me for the damage. He had to install another mount that I didnt want and he measured wrong TWICE on that one. Three hours later it was one of the worst experiences hiring help I've ever had. I called the office and explained my frustration. They said the best they could do was not charge me for the additional mounting bracket. I can't believe I had to pay for any of it as I had to do a good portion of the install myself. I would have been better off getting a buddy to help me. Stay far away from this company. Their people don't know what they are doing and their customer service is terrible.

Ray was by far the most responsive and easily won on price and value. We set up an appointment, and he arrived promptly, was extremely courteous and knowledgeable. He got everything working perfectly, including mounting the TV, setting up the soundbar, speakers and surround sound, and hiding the cables. He even did precision centering and leveling so everything was perfectly straight, which, if you are like my wife, is important because anything even slightly off center or tilted is distracting. While I waited to hear back due to the person I needed the info being off, Boulder Home Theater reached out and said "Upon further consideration and review from the owner we are not comfortable putting a recessed box in that location. It's too much of a liability for us the scope of this project mainly for any tile damage and not knowing what's behind--and possible heat-leak up from the fireplace. If this was a normal standard drywall wall setup not above the fireplace, we would have no issues quoting that." This even before I was able to let them know what the materials and wall type were and it's an electric fireplace with the ability to have the heat turned off which I let them know prior to this response. If they can't even wait for my response on the materials or work with me on the install but just say you aren't worth the hassle, well that isn't a company I would want to work with when it comes to installing TV's.
