The place is nice, but food is Overpriced poor quality meats and portions are inaccurate. I asked how many ounce of meat per order, they could not tell , but 6 to 8 oz will be fair, I assumed, since we often eat out. Then he started grilling the chunk of New York and rib eye meat , I estimate combined no more than 16 oz then sliced and divided among seven of us. The fried rice is nothing but drizzled with soy sauce, and two eggs. Veggies grilled last and bland. I've been to similar set up that is why I have a point of comparison.. Horrible Experience . This is the second time we have had an issue with this restaurant . We ordered teriyaki steak and it was so tuff and hard. I could not eat the steak. We told the chef and he said " sorry have a good day " we asked to speak to the manager and she was EXTREMELY RUDE. Speaking to us very loud and not believing our meat was hard. showed them with our forks and how we could not chew it. The manager at this restaurant is beyond rude to her customers and this needs to be fixed immediately . Argued with us after that we showed her the bill was wrong because she said she would take off half and proceeded to not take off half for the meal. My family and I recently tried Tokyo Steak and I gotta say what a lovely surprise! There's a bit of a sleeper tucked away on Bear Valley Rd. I got the steak and shrimp combo, add fried rice (9 of 10). My daughter got a rainbow roll and said it was really good (8 of 10) and my wife got the chicken and steak combo (9 of 10). The portions were generous for the protein you order, and we had plenty for leftovers. Our Chef, Benny, was talkative, quick witted and made some very solid food. We were part of a large party and our service left a little bit to be desired, our drinks did go dry a few times but overall the service was good (7 of 10). The prices were about on par with similar style chains. Our next teppenyaki outing will have another option added to the list with Tokyo Steak. read more

Came here with some family and friends for the first time. The owners are an older couple running the business together. They were so nice and welcoming at the front. The restaurant is quite spacious. It seems a bit dated, but well decorated. The show was quick, but quite entertaining. We all got the steak and shrimp combo as well as 2 sushi rolls. The meal was good and filling. The crispy sushi was very good and better imo than the other because of the sauce and crunchinesses. This is my second time coming here. I came with a group of girls for a birthday and the meal was uneventful with a small show. Next visit was for my birthday, we had our kids with us and our chef was wonderful. I want to say his name was Michael but can't remember. The kids loved his show! The plum wine is good but not really $8 a glass good. The menu said $6 but it's fine. The menu is tricky and unlike Benihana, the rice and noodles are in addition to your meat choices. I thought it would be a bit more affordable here but I was mistaken. The filet I ordered was delicious and cook perfectly. The chicken was good as well. The rice was alright and the noodles I'd pass on ordering again. I did get a drink from the menu that was good. I think it was a Mai tai and it was $12-15. Wish I took more pictures. read more

I googled a Thai restaurant near me. Somehow I thought this place was Thai. Same addy... we sat down, then a nice family with 3 rambunctious but adorable children were seated with us. We sat a while longer with really loud children and decided to leave, we had not ordered yet. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE ! Went here for my brother's birthday dinner. The servers were prompt with taking our order. I ordered the shrimp and scallops. He got the filet with scallops and my sister got the steak and shrimp. Of course we got some appetizers we ordered the mixed tempura, egg rolls and some sushi. At least the sashimi part was fresh everything else was a let down. The tempura was undercooked the batter still tasted wet and not fried enough unlike the egg rolls was way too greasy. When the hibachi cook finally came out and was reading everyone's order. He got everyone's order mixed up. I noticed something off because my brother's filet was already cubed and cut up but we didn't catch that right away. No one's steaks comes out precut. There was no beating heart show or interaction with our chef. He seemed to have lacked the proper training for cooking. He kept scrambling for items and kept looking at the orders . Then over compensated for the soy sauce and salted butter. Another couple at our hibachi table got the steak and shrimp as well. Everyone wanted medium rare but ended up getting well done. My brother's filet was way overdone he had two pieces and couldn't finish. Our chef kept apologizing saying sorry but really it wasn't his fault for lack of training and communication skills. Everyone that got shrimp was over cooked and tough. The fried rice with an up charge of $5 each was brunt. By the time he finished cooking the vegetables everyone's food was cold and no one finished anything or hardly ate. It was funny our cook almost got the onion volcano until another cook was doing it across the way. Mind you that other cook finished cooking before ours did and he started 30 mins after. Overall it was a big mess. Everything was way over cooked and salty like no tomorrow. We brought up the mix up to the servers and they just played dumb. Then the "manager" comes out, it was older Asian woman. She nonchalantly walked over and inspected our table like as we were lying. When we told them everything that went wrong and no one actually eating. Even the other couple at our table didn't eat their food. They were in disbelief as well. Not once did they try to fix the problem at hand. They seemed to not have been bothered by the poor taste they left in our mouths. What made it really awkward was the cooks or whoever they were came out from the back and just sat in the waiting area and stared at us. That completely changed the mood and atmosphere. Not once did management come out to apologize or offer anything for any type of compensation. The lack of management skills makes this place a dive. Poorly trained chefs that completely missed the target on a hibachi experience. Overly salted food and seasoned food, typically is a good indication that their meats as seafood as isn't fresh as it should be. Management with their intimating looks over our shoulders when we addressed any issues and their lack of a response. Come it's not a Benihana but give paying customers a little more respect. We just paid and left. Never will we be coming back to place. I'd rather spend my money somewhere else that appreciates their customers. read more

We told him they were 4 minutes away and he kept coming back what seemed like every thirty seconds asking us if they were still coming. They showed up in 3 minutes. Our server was so rude. she was rushing us through our orders and when i took a moment to decide my drink she told me that she'd come back and get my order and rushed off, i still wanted to ask her what was in the alcoholic drinks because there is ZERO description of what's in any of them. She didn't even try to listen to me when i ordered at all. My cousin ordered Edamame and never even received it, they didn't forget to put it on our bill though. The sever asked how we wanted our meat cooked as well and everyone's meat was cooked the exact same, even though some people asked for the meat to be cooked differently. So what was the point of asking if the meat preparations people asked for weren't taken into consideration? Very disrespectful. The overall service was horrible. Took the family to Tokyo steak House on December 27th, 2024.We waited 30 minutes to get seated and 20 more minutes to get our drink order in. We were patient because it was a Friday night and they had a large party. We figured the wait would be worth the food. Our hibachi chef was so uninspired with his job, we had no "show" and no interaction with us while he cooked. He did do a sorry train whistle to be fair. Still it was okay, all we wanted was a good meal. But sadly, it was by far the worse meal we have ever had. 4 of us ordered steak and chicken, 1 ordered Steak and Shrimp, and all 5 of us paid $4.95 extra for fried rice. The steak was the only thing edible we had that night. The vegetables were not edible, no flavor and kinda rubbery. The chicken was just drenched in teriyaki sauce and had no salt. The fried rice was completely lacking in flavor. The shrimp was just okay, nothing to rave about. He completed the meal, cleaned the grill and moved on. The servers never came by to refill our drinks or ask us if we needed anything. Just walked by in a hurry so you wouldn't ask them for anything. This place use to be good before Covid. Now I would never spend another penny here. We went for a family dinner for my niece birthday. The owner(Asian lady) was very rude to start with. The food is very cheap you can definitely taste the difference, my scallops had a very weird texture and taste like they were fake or something.
