I typically transferred from blue line to orange line at Bay Fair. One time this guy got on singing along with his boom box about a gun in his pocket and taking out people he doesn't like while slapping his pocket. The guy was nuts and the car immediately cleared out. Massive exit to the next car. Cops showed up at Lake Merrit station and pulled him off. I decided riding BART just wasn't worth the risk and adjusted my hours and started driving. PIn later years when I lived closer and didn't need to commute I would access Bart at Fruitvale since it was the closest station. Easy to get to via Uber or a number of bus lines. Again, back in the day you really had to pay attention to the crowd around. People getting mugged constantly and/or just harassed. Present day. I have recently started using Bart from Fruitvale again to get to Oakland, Berkeley and Lafayette when I'm meeting up with my partner and don't want to have 2 cars out and both of us driving home in two separate cars or when I drop off cars at our mechanics for service that takes a couple of days. I have to say I am pleasantly surprised, and that is not an easy feat with me after so many bad experiences. In recent trips i have not seen any rando characters. No one has asked me for money. No one hanging out with a sign asking for money while pimping out their kid. People were well dressed and polite. I know call me f'ing crazy. This is Fruitvale BART. The place was actually clean. Not sure if the new fair jumping gates helped or just BART realized the issues and worked to clean it up. Back in the day I would have given it a minus 5 stars but today it's going to 3 in the positive. As I use it more I may up the rating.

Well sometimes they offer special ferries for the Giants or Warriors games in SF. Atmosphere - Beautiful. I hike/bike here at times as well. Plenty of parking, 250 spaces, no overnight parking allowed. 20 bike racks available, the ferry is bike friendly as well. 24 bike lockers available. AC Transit = 21 line. Public restrooms, don't expect much. Service - 5 stars. My favorite form of travel, especially with the continued discounted price. It has gone back up slightly, but still very affordable. Thank you. Approximately 20 minutes to get to SF. Also, since I have lived in Alameda, the ferry service has always been on time. This ferry, similar to Sea Plane, operates only Monday to Friday. So if you go on a weekend, you need to take the main ferry. Price - $4.70 one way with a clipper card. Still almost 50% off versus pre-pandemic prices, thank you. Also just discovered the main ferry only cost $1 to go to Jack London Square; so why am I still driving to the Rosenblum winery??? Wait, I also just discovered a free water taxi and I can't wait to try that! Main Island ferry special event tickets - $10.75 to Chase Center. Tip: Download the SF Ferry App to save time & get schedules. Upper & Lower deck seating. Indoor or deck seating. Plenty of tables, bankette seating. Place for strollers, bicycles. Snack bar that serves alcohol like wine, beer & mimosas to small snacks. The view to San Francisco is beautiful arriving & departing Gate G. The closest street is Mission. When you arrive it's easy to get on the Muni system, a trolley, a tour bus, or an Uber/Lyft. If you're going to SF Giants game or the Chase Center, there's a special events Ferry for that. Don't worry if your event ends late, the special events ferry will take you back to Alameda &!Oakkand. Study the schedules to plant plenty enough time to travel. For example. I arrived at Gate G and I was going to The Presidio District. There's a free Go shuttle, but it takes about 40 minutes to get there with all the stops. If you're running short on time, grab a taxi or an Uber to drop you off quicker. Since then, I have taken the Ferry four more times. Why did I wait so long. Next is the BART system. Plus, the damn inconvenience- the Clipper Card website and app are super annoying. The website makes you upload your credit card, only to redirect you to the Apple Store to download the app in your phone which then requires you to reenter your same credit card because the 2 don't work together. The fee is $5.10 in each direction but the card only uploads in whole dollars and tries to get you to upload $10, $20 or $50 at a time. Don't fall for it- just type in the amount $11. Still, what a way to skim money off people, ugh. There is no explanation on how to do any of this at the actual landing so unless you came with someone who told you how to get a clipper card, it'll take you quite a while to jump through the hoops to get one. Also, they require each passenger to have their own clipper card, so even if your family is willing to pay for your fare, they can't. You still have to upload your own clipper card. And after all the time it takes to do this, you will probably just miss the ferry anyway, just like us.

I got on the SFO bart around 3:30pm and transfer from yellow line to blue line at Balboa Park and got to West Dublin around 5:15pm. Not bad at all. Much cheaper than riding a Lyft or Uber from SFO. What's even more convenient is that you no longer need a clipper card. Your credit card works! Super convenient!

I usually go to the other stop in Dublin, but my brother dropped me off at this one because it was close to some of the errands he was running that day. This was on the weekend, so there was really not that many people around. I haven't used this stop during the busy commute times, but this area is nice and so is the station. Since I was dropped off, I can't speak for the parking. But it was a nice stroll to get to the boarding area.

The coliseum is an actual stop and Bart will save you time and money especially now that the parking at the coliseum is up to $30. The trains ride smooth and it's nice to have a view rather than being stuck behind the wheel of your car fighting with traffic. Plus Bart makes it from Dublin/Pleasanton to the coliseum in roughly 25 minutes. You will not be able to do that in a car. Parking at Bart is free on weekends and apparently on weekdays after 3pm. Tickets for our group, myself and my two kids came out to roughly $17.00. You can barely beat that in gas if you were to drive yourself. I enjoyed talking Bart and I know my kids were thrilled to ride a "train." I recommend Bart to anyone heading to the A's or further down the line.

Well, that's quite a conundrum, because I'm unlikely to ever visit either and, therefore, unlikely to ever change my mind. If it's any consolation to your offended Dublin/Pleasanton pride, your chain stores look, um, nice from the freeway. OK, they look like every other visible-from-the-freeway chain stores I've ever seen. And this makes them, exciting. I think? Why am I going on about Dublin/Pleasanton in a review of the Dublin/Pleasanton-Daly City Line? Well, because I can. And unless the BART station does somehow straddle the border between the two cities, it's stupid that it's got a slashed name to begin with. It's probably either in Dublin or Pleasanton. The line itself is OK. I've never ridden it farther than Bay Fair, so I can't really contrast it with the Fremont-Daly City Line. It's gotten me (most of the way) to Oakland International Airport and back on many occasions. Hm, what else to say? I think I'm excited about the new West Dublin station, although it will also ridiculously be called the West Dublin/Pleasanton Station. Seriously, can't we just give each city its own BART station and be done with this / garbage?

We drove our car to a concert in Oakland, but on the way home we got a flat tire. luckily, we pulled off on an exit near this station. The gentleman working at the booth was our guardian angel. Not only did he explain everything clearly and patiently, he genuinely cared and went above and beyond to help us. I nearly cried because he was like a knight in shining armor, he was an ally in a difficult situation. I literally created a yelp account just to acknowledge this amazing man and the excellent quality of our late-night BART experience overall (everyone was helpful, the trains were clean and prompt). Once we got home, my teenage daughter told me , and I quote without exaggeration, that "this experience renewed my faith in humanity". From now on, I plan to travel this way more regularly. Thank you so much to all of the BART employees (especially the gentleman in the booth in W. Oakland).

Its if you want the most practical way into the city where parking is difficult. I use this transfer station once in a while. If you have a victim mindset just avoid it - I think kriminals can sniff out fear and target that sort of thing. Maybe its even a sort of self fulfilling prophecy sort of thing. Expect the worst out of people get the worst. I'm not sure though. For all the German tourists that send their 18 year old daughters here - its not a smart thing to do. Unless your really hurting for cash give them finances to avoid public transportation - especially after hours.
