I've never come across this level of hospitality before. Usually you have to contact a gate agent to assist in using the elevator and that is if it's working at that station. They seem to go in and out all the time and at some stations they never seem to be in operation. This is a good station to walk to if you are coming from or going to a Giants game. It's actually a closer walk then if you walk to the Embarcadero station and that is where most guests walk to when going to or coming from a GIants game. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from the Montgomery BART station to the Ball park. The BART station's first stop if you are heading from Oracle Park to the Pittsburg BayPoint line is the Montgomery station so when we arrive we were able to get seats. Next we stopped at the Embarcadero Station and it was flooded with people and there were very few seats for them, most people had to stand in our train. The initial wait for the train was 15 minutes from the time we entered the station from the Giants game till we hopped on the train. The Daly City line came several times over while we were waiting. Bathrooms. I can't speak to their bathroom situation as we used them at the Ballpark before we left so we didn't need to use them. BART no longer uses the old school BART tickets, they have revolved into using the Clipper Cards or a Credit Card. I have a plastic clipper card somewhere, but I'm not exactly sure where it is and failed to bring it. The good thing about using a Clipper Card is you aren't holding out your credit card to come and go using BART. I was afraid I would drop it in the crowd. They also have a Clipper App you can use, but I'm not a big fan of paying for things with apps. In the end I took my chances and used my credit card as a key to get in and out of the BART station. I'll probably use my Credit Card next time I use BART too just for the convince. In addition I don't like putting money on cards as I always end up with an odd amount left over that I can never use and it ends up to be lost money.

MUNI listened! 28R now stops at 19th Avenue & Eucalyptus…read more Today, Friday, September 4, 2026, I noticed something that made me very happy: the 28R now has a stop at 19th Avenue & Eucalyptus Street. Every Friday, I go to the YMCA Stonestown at 19th Avenue & Eucalyptus Street, but in the past, the 28R did not stop at Eucalyptus. Whenever I took the 28R, I had to get off at 19th Avenue & Winston Drive and walk about 8 minutes to the YMCA. It was inconvenient, especially when I could take the regular 28 and get off directly at 19th Avenue & Eucalyptus. I started submitting feedback and complaints to MUNI explaining why I believed the 28R should stop at 19th Avenue & Eucalyptus. Nearby destinations include: * M Ocean View Metro -- an important connection to Civic Center, Powell, Montgomery, and Embarcadero stations * 57 Muni bus -- transfer point to Daly City BART * YMCA Stonestown * Lakeside Presbyterian Church * St. Stephen Church * St. Stephen School * Regal Stonestown Galleria * Whole Foods Market * DSW * Stonestown Medical Building * Petco * Restaurants and businesses at Stonestown Galleria * Medical, dental, and specialty care offices * Parkmerced residential community In my MUNI feedback, I explained: When evaluating stop spacing, I encourage SFMTA to consider the experience of riders who rely on public transit daily. What may appear to be a reasonable walking distance on paper can be much more challenging in practice for seniors, students, working commuters, riders carrying groceries, people traveling to medical appointments, parents with children, and individuals with mobility limitations. I also explained that Eucalyptus Street is an important transit connection and community destination, including connections to the M Ocean View Metro and the 57 Muni bus to Daly City BART. Adding a 28R stop at Eucalyptus would make transportation much more convenient and accessible. And today, it happened! The 28R stopped at 19th Avenue & Eucalyptus. After my movie at Regal, I would normally have to walk to 19th Avenue & Winston Drive to catch the 28 or 28R. Now I can simply walk to 19th Avenue & Eucalyptus, which is a much shorter and easier walk to catch the bus. Congratulations and THANK YOU, MUNI, for listening to my feedback! There is no service on the 28L between 9 AM - 2 PM from Monday - Friday! Too bad this route does not have weekend service either! Quick Tip: - Inbound Terminal: Fort Mason - Outbound Terminal: Daly City BART The 28L making fewer stops providing faster service is one of the best routes. Also just for a quick note, I wouldn't recommend using www.nextmuni.com or looking at the screen of the GPS bus tracking system at select bus stops as they aren't always 100% accurate. You're way better off peaking out to see if there is a bus arriving at your stop or not! One of the good things I do like about taking the 28L is that there is a seat when I get on the bus. When there is a 28 coming to my stop and I notice that the 28 is too crowded or I see a 28L right behind, I'll get on the 28L instead! You ride the blue line to get to the bart station. Once I got to the bart station, there were already trains waiting for you. I had to figure out which one to go. Either one works cause I had to do a transfer later to another line. I end up getting off Balboa Park to transfer from yellow line to blue line for Dublin. Overall, the AirTrain is very convenient. If you are taking bart to go to SFO, you will need to take the AirTrain to go to your terminal. Very convenient.

I contacted Frosch Travel for help with travel insurance for a trip to Bora Bora and Moorea last…read moreyear and spoke to Katherine. When I first called to ask about travel insurance, I also asked her how much she would charge to look at flights & hotels for us. She immediately got very defensive and said she does not give away her services, you have to pay her if you want help with these things. Right, that's why I was asking how much she would *charge*. I wasn't born yesterday; I don't expect her to plan my trip for me for free. Anyway, she said that if we came in to her office and bought the insurance through her she would give us a few brief tips on what to do in Bora Bora. I thought that was really nice, and maybe she just didn't communicate well over the phone, so we set up an appointment. We arrived on time for our appointment but when we got there she was on the phone with someone else. My husband and I sat there waiting for her to finish her call for at least 10 minutes. When she got off the phone, she did not apologize for making us wait. We both thought this was rude. I think my husband was even more upset about it than I was - he is a very mild-mannered person in general but he thought it really indicated a lack of respect for us and our time. We went over the insurance and she proceeded to do exactly what you can do online, which is go to a travel insurance website, enter the ages of the travelers, dates of the trip and the cost of the trip and get a quote. She didn't seem to have any information about the insurance beyond was what easily available online. We looked at two different insurance companies with her and when we asked her questions about the differences in the two policies she just looked at the website and read off information to us. As for her "tips" about what to do in Bora Bora? The only tip she gave us was to go there on a cruise ship called the Paul Gauguin which was apparently having a sale at the time. I know the Paul Gauguin is really lovely (my parents actually sailed on it a few years ago) but we explained that we didn't want to take a cruise for several reasons (among them, that we wanted to stay in those awesome overwater bungalows) and she still kept pushing it. In addition, we were locked into very specific dates on both ends and I asked her if the Paul Gauguin would fit in our dates. She assured me it would. When I later looked at the brochure for the cruise that she gave us, the embarkation date lined up with our arrival date, but the disembarkation date was one day after we had to return to the US. We had told her our dates from the beginning and I had emphasized over and over again how inflexible the dates were on both ends. Yet she still kept recommending this thing that would obviously not work with our schedule. At our meeting she said she would email us that night a policy with our information filled in, so that we could just fill in the total trip cost and send it back to her. She never sent us any email. I got busy and put trip-planning on hold. A few months later I contacted her again with a couple of specific questions about the insurance, specifically about the insurance in the event of cancellation due to work reasons, because I wanted to make sure it would give us the coverage we needed before I bought the nonrefundable plane tickets. She responded with general information about the policy but she did not answer my questions. She also said that the regulations had changed and she was no longer able to buy insurance for us. She also wrote me: "Normally, if you let your boss know the cost of cancelling your vacation, they won't do so. I always get my vacation time pre-approved, and I've never had a boss who reneged on that agreement (in 35+ years of working)." I work in an industry where cancelling planned and paid-for vacations at the last minute is definitely not unheard of and I had repeatedly emphasized this to her on our phone calls and at our meeting (this was the whole reason we wanted insurance for this trip). Her experience with her bosses in a completely different industry is absolutely irrelevant to how likely I am to have to cancel my vacation and this statement was completely unhelpful (and, in my opinion, quite condescending). We ended up purchasing online (by ourselves) one of the two insurance plans we had discussed. I'm still not 100% convinced we were covered for the things we needed, but in any event we did not have to cancel the trip and we had an absolutely amazing week celebrating our anniversary in Bora Bora and Moorea. So it turned out ok for us, but I don't think we got anything out of consulting with her and I was really unimpressed by how little she seemed able to listen to us and help us plan a trip that met our needs versus pushing her pre-planned cookie cutter itineraries on us.

If you are looking for a faster way to travel between the Sunset District, Civic Center, Hayes…read moreValley and Ferry Plaza, then the 7x is for you. It's no surprise to see traffic when traveling on Fell / Oak Streets. This is an excellent route. Also, an answer to that better commute. I wanted to go Sheng Kee Bakery on Irving St and 21st Ave. But I didn't want to get on a route that makes every stop along the way. Route 7x Noriega Express became my answer. This route got me straight to 23rd Ave and Lincoln Way from Fell St and Gough St in 20 minutes. With traffic, roughly 25 minutes - 30 minutes. I like how they have 40' and 60' buses in service on this route. It truly is an excellent way to alleviate crowding. It would be really nice to have midday and weekend service on this route. Or at least, a similar route gets placed in to service using the same path this route uses when it's not in service.

I hopped on the 7X on Friday, July 6th a little after 5:30pm. I've taken the regular 7 before and this bus is so much better. It skips the entire Haight part and goes straight down Fell which is a lot faster. (It doesn't stop at all between Gough & 9th Avenue.) For $2.75, I got from Market & Grant to Lincoln & 19th Avenue in 15 stops and about 35 mins. After that, it was an easy transfer to the 28. My original intention was to take the 5R - Fulton to the 28, so I'm glad the 7X stopped by first as it ended up being so much faster.
