Good vibes and helpful staff members, I came in to look around because I was walking by in the neighborhood. Aaron walked me through some of their product, and showed me each one, giving me his opinion of each product. I ended up buying a soda drink but the whole experience was very pleasant, just the type of experience you'd want from this kind of store. I live in Bend, I frequent these shops, I didn't just pop in one time and make up my mind about an entire business or classification of employees. I'm writing this post because I found a previous review to be so wildly in contrast from my own REPEATED experiences at Tokyo Starfish. There is always a variety to chose from, there is range in the pricing, checking-out is painless and I don't have to wait in a damn lobby, just to be rushed through my selection and checkout. Great place with good prices. I'm from out of town and the place is smaller but good selection. Regarding the guy who's pops had to take a leak, no sympathy. Go next door and fertilize the plants in the garden, nobody would notice. Fair to midland but usually a good deal can be found. A giant pain in the ass to show your ID up front, not be told to keep it out, and be asked to show it again 10ft away in the same building within earshot of the first check. What's your deal?? Do you not trust your front desk employee?? Is there a magical gate you can time warp through and not enter the budroom as the same person?? WTH? Horrible service. I placed a small order online and got a text saying I could pick it up in 5-10 minutes. I was there 10 minutes later and told it wasn't ready. The clerk was dismissive and rude and wouldn't give me an estimate of when it would be ready. I waited another 15-20 minutes before deciding to go somewhere else. When I left I was told I would get a text when it was ready. 12 HOURS later I got a call asking if I was going to pick it up. Yeah, no thanks. The Budtender demanded a tip!!! I came in knowing exactly what I wanted, and did not need to be explained anything. How unprofessional. I'm honestly shocked at the high rating of this place. I can kind of understand tipping if you've taken up a lot of the budtender's time asking questions and needing a lot of help. But not for just pulling a few things I specifically asked for off the shelf! Tipping is a bonus and should never be expected, especially when you're just doing the bare minimum of what's expected. read more

This place is absolutely amazing! The staff, the selection and the many locations make this a one stop shop. I usually go to the Old Mill, Arizona Ave ship. When you walk in the store is very open and welcoming. Many of the shops in town feel super sketch and secretive. Tokyo Starfish has nothing to hide. Your ID is checked at the door and there is an open doorway to another room. In that room there are smoking devices, Leaf, prerolled and a wide assortment of edibles and other products I know nothing about such as vaporizers. The staff are very professional and knowledgeable of their products and uses. From medical to recreational they have something for everyone. Matt is one of my favorite "Budtenders" he is a cool dude to chat with and he knows his stuff. The prices are extremely competitive with other shops locally. If you are local or visiting I highly recommend a look around. read more

Paid for 2 vape pens, one never worked, the other worked for one week, but I was out of town so it was to long before I tried to return it. This was my first time going to a cannabis store. The atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable. I noticed the customer water bottle was sitting empty and I was one of the first customers on Saturday morning. Maybe an oversight. I was greeted promptly then had to wait several minutes in the wait room for service. I looked around while waiting and noticed they had a very small choice of paraphernalia. Eventually the nice young girl came out and brought us to the "inner sanctum ". She apologized for the wait stating they were short on staff. In any event there I was. I told her I wanted something "happy" . At no point was the strength or THC talked about. I didn't think to ask. So I ended up making a 2g purchase for $14.00 which I thought was very good value. I tried it at home and thought this is really potent. Well it was too potent for my taste. (Super Silver Haze, THC 19%). In retrospect I feel it's the responsibility for the salespeople to educate their customers about potency. I can only recommend this shop if you are armed with your questions and know what you want.
