Inside, they are very professional with scanning the photo ID to make sure everyone inside is legal to be there. I liked that the bud tenders were very friendly and professional while answering questions to educate me on the different products. Their prices are much higher in the downtown area, which I assume is because they are in a high tourist area. The Old Mill District had some lower prices. I enjoy this place. They have a great setup and selection as well as regular specials. They recently implemented a $2 fee to use your credit cards here. It been at no charge to the customer for a very long time. I'd be curious to find out how this translates to value to the customer specifically and if not then the management needs to revisit the decision to impose a penalty to the very people who support this business. We get it, the ID's are flimsy, but they just are as real as any other state issued ID. The budtender promptly asked us to leave after disrespectfully rejecting our legal form of identification. I came in as a curious tourist but I left with a ton of respect for this business! It was nothing like the grungy head shop I had expected, but rather a clean, sharply designed, welcoming space. There's a brief check-in process where they check your ID, and then a budtender escorts you to his or her counter and asks what you're looking for, then gives some recommendations. We were impressed by their knowledge and kind customer service. They also had a lot of information about topical muscle rubs and tinctures that would be beneficial for arthritis or muscle pain. Oregrown also sells cool candles and other unique swag, making it a great little gift shop as well. We'll definitely come back when we're in Bend again!
