This place was not very busy either most likely will not be back, in addition the menu mentions nothing about all you can eat sushi or a buffet like advertised online making it very difficult to know what they actually offer. read more

We were seated right away! I ordered plum wine and it was so tasty. I should have gotten a bottle. I ordered sweet potato roll which is honestly my favorite. The boyfriend and I both ordered a meal that came with miso soup and salad and it was the perfect filling meal. He ordered beef teriyaki and I order chicken Katsu and Botha were cooked great. This was my second time ordering from here (takeout both times), but was my husband & son's first time. I ordered the dancing tuna roll (spicy tuna roll topped with blackened seared tuna; masago, scallions, wasabi sauce on top) again bc it was so good last time, along with the Sunday morning roll (salmon, cream cheese, lightly fried, spicy mayo, eel sauce) to share with my husband. Both rolls were excellent & definitely hit the spot. For my son I ordered the pot stickers. We all had some & they were delicious. The dipping sauce was a little sweeter than we are used to, but was still good. I also ordered what was listed as crab angle (what I have always known as crab Rangoon) & they were good, with a good amount of crispiness. My husband had the chicken pad Thai. Unfortunately he really, really did not care for it. He said it was entirely way too sweet & was unable to eat it, sharing my sushi instead, which he did enjoy. I was so bummed because I LOVE their sushi (plus the appetizers were also good), so this will probably be the restaurant I go to when I'm just ordering for me, as my husband doesn't typically eat a lot of sushi. read more

The food was very good! The ambiance was cozy but there were signs of wear and tear. Our server? Okay we got our food and the order was right. I did get refills quickly but he had other things on his mind except his job which he didn't appear to enjoy. Walking somebody to a table while on the phone that was not business related, honestly we quietly laughed during most of our meal just watching him plod through his day. I have never had Hibachi to go. We are staying at a great hotel down the road from this place, and since we are celebrating something very special, my husband suggested we go here. Unfortunately, we could not go in person because had we gone in person, I could have sent my entire meal back. I ordered FILET & Scallops medium RARE. What I got was a SIRLOIN (thin sliced and tough vs. thick and tender), and, OVER WELL DONE! One bite, and I almost choked because the steak was SO dry and burnt. That disappointment came with 4 bland scallops and some extremely salty vegetables that I won't even feed our dogs. It thankfully came with some decent rice when added to my "green vegetable and bean curd soup." The soup was clear broth with lots of celery, 1 piece of zucchini, 2 pieces of broccoli, some fish flakes and, unfortunately, not a glimpse of bean curd (in any other Japanese restaurant, this means tofu). Overall, I was very hungry, so I ate 2 of the scallops, gave 1 to the dogs, and 1 to my husband. Only SOME pieces of the steak were even fit to feed the dogs (not completely burnt). Filet Mignon, as we all know, is a thick cut piece of meat. It is also an expensive cut of meat that should be cooked properly. I worked my way through college in a Steakhouse in Texas - we had to learn how to CUT each piece of beef to get the different cuts, what the differences are between them (thickness, tenderness, marbling, etc.), and what they look and taste like cooked to various temperatures. I also have a personal chef diploma, and can you this: What we paid for was Filet Mignon medium rare. What was tossed in the box was a DRY SIRLOIN, burnt, cut thin. 1 star for what my husband said was a good spicy tuna salad, and what he said is very good, Pad Thai. Otherwise, this would be a -2* review. I am a local guide on another site, as well as a small business owner, so I do not make bad reviews just to complain. I tend to lean the other direction and forgive small errors. This was blatant. Had we been sitting at the Hibachi table, they would have to cook Filet and do it correctly or risk having it sent back. This was genuinely the WORST Hibachi that I have had in my life, and I have traveled across the US and back, lived in Europe and Canada, and have traveled to Asia for work, and of course being Hibachi fans, it is a celebration to go to with family when we can visit Texas. Considering that most folks get Hibachi when they want something special, for $30, we can feast at a Hibachi place we go to in Anderson where we have never been disappointed. This was a celebration ruined by an extremely bad meal. Not only was it bad, but it is an INSULT to have your customers pay for something and to deliver something entirely different. read more

Decided to eat since we stopped off for gas and snacks nearby. It's in an older building. They do have a nice big wood deck out front and it's almost 70 degrees outside too. Still have their Christmas decorations up. Grab some sushi for our dinner. I like their cooked and raw sushi menu sides, makes it easy for picking out what we want that's cooked. We ordered two house salads, a spicy crab salad, volcano less masago, Snow White, dancing eel and a California roll. The house salad here is okay, dressing is fresh, some ginger in it, carrots, on the sweet side. The waitress asked we needed any forks, I told her no. She also had it check if we wanted the spicy crab or non-spicy, I confirmed we wanted the spicy. My husband had even asked for some sriracha for the sushi. My little side plate had on a crusted on something from the meal before me. The spicy crab salad is decent, smaller than I was thinking, it's nice and spicy, drizzled with some spicy Mayo. Decent flavor to it. Crab is a bit mangled and mashed up. The Snow White and Volcano rolls were good. The dancing eel and california weren't my favorites here. The volcano was the better of the 4 rolls. $63.01 for our meal. Tax is 7.8% here in Ohio. Our waitress isn't the warmest sort. She did thank me in Chinese, even though I am Korean. read more

I have missed this place so much. Every time we come here we are not disappointed. We also leave so full we are about to pop. They do have some plates and hibachi, but we come for the sushi. They make a variety of fancy rolls if that is your thing. We usually get the All You Can Eat special. ($24.95 lunch/ $29.95 dinner) There is a specific menu for this and you have to sit at the bar. The options are nigiri or some simple rolls and hand rolls. The only rules are you must eat what you order and eat the rice. Oh and of course no sharing! Not that you will want to. You can order multiple times- so pace yourself. All the sushi is fresh made to order. My absolute fav thing here is the vegetable roll. I know weird for a sushi restaurant but I have never had anything like it. It is colorful and filled with a variety of veg that add pickle/ salty/slightly sweet/crunchy combo that is yum. The sashimi and nigiri are also very good My son got some gyoza today and it was very flavorful and the sauce was good too. Very large portion. read more

For the food they are great. The food was well prepared in fair portions. However, if you are on a budget or have more than 2 people to feed, it will drain your wallet quick. It took more than $50 to feed a small group of three and when it comes to their Sushi, it leaves a little to desire. They give so little for what they charge for. Just 5 pieces for nearly $20. For that, I have seen other places give big servings and more for less. read more

Went for my son's birthday - we told them it was his bday, but they were like...oh. ok. The end. The place is very dirty. Needs a hose and a scrub brush. They have a few kids running around, which I get because my kids have to go to work with me, but it was distracting. The salad was odd. The Wasabi was very good, as was the sushi. My son liked the hibachi my husband did not. It just felt old and grimy. read more

Service is on the slow side, so not a good choice if you're looking for a quick meal. The building is starting to show its age and would benefit from a renovation, but nothing serious enough to make me uncomfortable eating here. My husband and I had a sushi lunch here before heading to the Sharonville Convention Center for an expo. It's a few doors down from it. It's been about 5-6 yrs. since we were here last. My husband ordered the Sashimi lunch special, Salmon and Striped Bass Nigiri. He also ordered some Green Tea. The sashimi lunch came with a side salad and miso soup. I ordered the Tokyo Roll, a side salad and a water. We both enjoyed the salad. The dressing had slightly sweet onion taste that was really good. My husband said the miso soup was ok. There wasn't much seaweed or tofu in it but it was still good. The sashimi lunch came on a bento box plate that included kimchi and white rice. I ate most of the kimchi since I like it more than my husband. It had the spiciness and strong flavor expected of kimchi. We both really enjoyed the sushi quite a bit. It had a great flavor and was really fresh. My roll was so good that I wished I had ordered two of them. We found the service to be quick and efficient. read more

The only two negatives I can mention are they share a parking lot with a club so it's busy next door (yes... even during a pandemic) on weekends. Don't bother with the egg rolls either. read more

Discovered this place with some work friends and I have made multiple visits. Have gone for lunch at off peak hours and have had the hibachi grill. No complaints. The food is prepared nicely and is fantastic. The rice is awesome. Service during this time isn't alway the best as it's a bit slow but they are not in your face either. I am here in town just for a few nights. This place is a couple minutes from my hotel so I thought I would check it out. I ordered it for take out. It was ready about 10 minutes or so. The hostess got my order and double checked to make sure it was correct. It was $15. I thought it was alittle high for just an entree. Maybe if it came with soup or salad it wouldn't seem so high, but I have to say it was very good food. I ordered hibachi chicken with fried rice no veggies. The rice was so good! Not far off the highway, stopped in this little spot for late lunch on a Weds. it was after lunch hours but I was in the mood for sushi. Ordered a Philadelphia roll and a valentine roll. Sushi was very fresh and the staff was nice. Orange martini was okay but used fresh squeezed ranges which made me happy. It wasn't crazy busy, food came quickly. Zero stars was not an option. PSA: DON'T EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT! I was four bites in and instantly started getting sick. The food poisoning that I experienced was worst than when I had Covid-19. My go-to local sushi/Japanese food restaurant, I regularly bring coworkers to lunch here. Love the bento boxes for lunch, I recommend the Sashimi Lunch box. The fried rice is good.      We love the dine-in Half Price sushi Thursday's and prefer the rolls with the toppings, have tried all the rolls now. Our favorites raw ones are: R03 Crazy Party, R07 Hulk Make, R08 Jasmine, R09 Last Samurai, R10 Land & Sea, R11 Reds, R13 Valentines. Favorite cooked ones are: C01 Dragon,  C08 Nasty Nati, C03 Double Dragon, C05 Fire Dragon, C06 Fantastic, C07 Lobster, C09 Paradise, C12 Volcano.      They have an All You Can Eat special at the sushi bar that includes sushi and basic rolls  without the crazy toppings. This review is based simply on their menu. We were very disappointed to find that their AYCE menu doesn't include any specialty rolls, so we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. Too bad because it was quite a drive for us. Please note that AYCE doesn't start until 5p on a Saturday and you have to sit at the sushi bar in order to partake. We were initially going to benihana but they were full for the night so decided to give this place a try and what a mistake it turned out to be! As others have mentioned, the exterior of the building isn't very appealing but we were hoping that it wouldn't impact the food. After we put our order in for the hibachi we noticed there was an upcharge for fried rice which I thought was strange as I've been to a whole bunch of hibachi places whereby that is standard with the meal considering how much the entrees cost. Now for the food: Next came the salad and the soup. Soup was ok and the salad dressing wasn't great. The ginger sauce that comes with the meal was mediocre at best...had much better. The food overall was meh!!! But the worst part of it all was when the chef that was doing the cooking started sweating into our food!!!! I was so appalled and disgusted by what I was seeing that my reaction was kinda slow. I told him he was sweating into the food and he quickly apologized and wiped his sweat away and continued cooking. When the manager came by, she did offer to cook me another meal but I was already nauseous and couldn't fathom the idea of a meal being cooked sight unseen!!! The manager did take 10% off our checks.....I hope that they at least make their chefs wear a mask moving forward. read more
