I go there a handful of times throughout the year and it's always good eats, the staff are friendly and they always make good jokes and conversation. I'm convinced that this place is only packed because it's the only hibachi option in Paducah. I was visiting family and this restaurant was requested. Being from Nashville, we have Mikado which has spoiled me with hibachi so I already was going into it with lower expectations. Unfortunately, they ended up even lower than I expected. I have never been to a hibachi place where you have to pay for salad, soup, and fried rice. That would be fine; however, it seemed that the price of the actual entree was not reflective of what you receive. I ordered the teriyaki chicken which came with vegetables and noodles for $19. I added the fried rice and a salad for an additional $6. The chicken was extremely dry and flavorless, but the vegetables were great! The fried rice was good, though they use some sort of scrap meat that was extremely hard and inedible to flavor it. My daughter loved the noodles that the dinners come with. The sauce choices were strange- a horseradish sauce and a brown mustard sauce. What kind of hibachi place doesn't have yum yum sauce? Maybe that's just a Nashville thing? Had an awful time here tonight. I have visited this restaurant for 10yrs and now will never return. We took our 11yr old here for his birthday tonight. Made reservations 2 days ago for 10people - only our family. Waited 30 min past our reservation time, never complained. Was sat and ordered food, drinks, appetizers. Right at the time the chef came out to cook another family was sat right next us, as in the next chair at the habachi table! What? This isn't supposed to happen in a COVID world. I nicely got up and informed the manager I felt uncomfortable with this, she was kind and told me she understood and would move the party of 4 that was just sat to another table. Then the owner came and placed a single chair between our party and the other party...so now they were 2ft apart with no masks as everyone is sitting to eat....and what is a chair supposed to do for spreading germs? When I informed the owner that I was still not comfortable with this he made my entire family get up and kicked us out....yes You heard that right! He told us that this was his business and he did not care what the state guidelines were about 6ft apart and that we needed to leave because we were uncomfortable with complete strangers being sat directly at the same table and next to us during this pandemic. I have never been treated so bad or been so embarrassed by simply asking to have state guidelines followed at a restaurant. I would strongly advise to NEVER go eat here. read more

Took my niece here for the first time to celebrate her 16th birthday. I was rather disappointed! I haven't been in a couple years and I remember the service and food being great. So we decided to bring her to experience it. The food was good, but our waitress was very rude. She was not friendly at all and when we asked her to sing happy birthday to my niece she told us. "It'll be a while I have things to do." This is my first review on Yelp. I've have posted positive reviews on Trip Advisor in the past. First the positive. The staff and service were excellent! They were attentive and very friendly. The steak and shrimp were great. The downside is the value and variety of the meal was very disappointing. Being over 50 I have eaten at many hibachi grills in the US and overseas so I have plenty to compare to. My first issue was that unlike other hibachis, you had to pay extra for rice (steamed and fried), soup and salad. This is first place that I have ever seen this. Typically rice is included along with soup and in most cases shrimp flambé as a starter. Second, the vegetables served with the entree were onions, mushrooms and zucchini. Again most other places include carrots, bok choy and/or broccoli. Third, they serve the entree with noodles. Not any sort of asian noodles but fettuccini. Finally, the cost for 4 people was almost $140 without tip. A little more expensive then most places I've been to. However compared to the variety and quantity of other grills this in my opinion is way over priced. read more

The wait was long because they like for there to be an exact number at each table. The food was expensive and not impressive. I've never been to a hibachi where fried rice is extra--3.50 per person extra at that. The wait to get seated was long and then the wait to get our chef was long. I want to start by saying that I love the food here. We have been coming here for several years and even know several of the cooks by name. However the customer experience here has been getting worse and worse. On several instances I've seen the hostess/manager act incredibly rude to customers with a blatant lack of care to how people feel. The newest strike is that now they charge for the soup and salad they used to provide free of charge as well as removing the "appetizer" shrimp which was two pieces of grilled shrimp. My wife and I spent almost $100 between the two of us to get what seemed like smaller portions than before along with the missing pieces of the meal that used to be there. To top off the visit I snapped a picture of the sign in front of the restaurant about the changes to which the hostess mentioned before said oh take a picture of the other sign its prettier. The cooks and servers were just as good as always but I won't support this business so long as they keep supporting practices like this and allowing people like the hostess to treat customers like dirt read more

We called ahead of time just to be careful, even though he is certified and you legally can't deny us entry, and on the phone they told us service dogs are no problem. This is a hibachi-style grill where the food gets cooked on a huge grill in front of you as you watch. WARNING: on a weekend, you may have to wait a while. They don't take reservations on Friday or Saturday night. Like most of these places, the food is expensive. You're paying for the show, right? Also, the food all has a salty, soy flavor. Because of this, I wouldn't splurge for the fancy steak. It really won't taste much different than the chicken! The huge amount of rice, shrimp, and veggies may fill you up before the meal really gets started. There are some great sauces: horseradish & ginger. The salad is fabulous! If there is a drawback, it's the service and the price. They aren't employing the highest level of wait staff, but they do pretty well. We had a few drinks wrong and our chef had to ask for a couple of items that weren't included on his cart by whoever did the prep work. This place was pretty good; clean, we didn't wait long, but there were a few things I didn't enjoy. First the hibachi dinners come with soup and a salad and usually you have two dressings to choose from, but here it was only the ginger sauce, which wasn't bad but there was way too much, and for the cheapest meal being like 13$ I wish the salad was more than just iceburg lettuce some tomato and slices of red onion. Also, another thing I didn't enjoy is that you had to pay 2.50 extra for fried rice. Every hibachi I've been to has come with fried rice not steamed. And lastly our cook was good at cooking, but he didn't really do any tricks or the fun stuff you expect to see when going to a hibachi restaurant. For two people our meal was 50$. My husband and I frequent here often. The hostesses and manger are so friendly and welcoming. All of the chefs are respectful and do their best to keep customers entertained. The Kobe steak and shrimp is excellent. This restaurant hands down has the best fried rice and is worth the extra few bucks! I would recommend this place to friends and family and you, too! Decent place, seemed to be clean and orderly - waitress kept drinks filled, no problem. I have to agree, the food was a bit salty in comparison to other Japanese Hibachi restaurants I've been to. The one deal breaker for me going back is that they DO NOT serve the "yum-yum" sauce that EVERY other Hibachi place serves. I was disappointed when he told me they only have the ultra salty brown sauce or the horseradish sauce. We didn't leave hungry by any means. Me and my wife attend this restaurant on 12/20/12. All I can say is this place was full of excuses. From the Manager, Waiter, & Cook. I literally saw my original waiter maybe 3 times the whole night. Our drinks were empty the whole night. The cook, Zak left the cooking station 3 or 4 times to go to the kitchen. Also this cook literally took 4 to 6 shots of alcohol while cooking our food. My wife steak was ordered medium and he over cooked it because he left the table to go to the kitchen. Then when we compliant to him about it he said it was cooked fine and argued with us. Then when I voiced my compliant to the manager she said that it was busy, short staffed, excuses, excuses. No discount or compensation was offer. I left a very unhappy costumer. This establishment does not follow Covid-19 guidelines and is putting the public at risk. We went to celebrate my grandson's 11th birthday. When another party was sat directly next to us, as if they were with our party, it was brought to the attention of the manager. The manager responding by saying they would take care our concerns about needing to have 6 ft between us and another party, then came back to us and said the owner would put a chair between us. When we told them this didn't help the situation, as the other party was still within 2-3 ft of us, we were told they would move our party to another table. The owner of this establishment then said he didn't have to follow any guidelines and told us to leave. He had total disregard for my family's safety or anyone else's. He owner was rude, continued to talk down, and was disrespectful to my daughter who was voicing our concerns. My family and I will not be back. read more
