Shrimp tempura rolls had 2 shrimps in each roll so they were pretty large and harder to eat but I enjoyed every bite. I would have uploaded a picture but I ate them already. This looks like one of those spots you'll order some Chinese food and regret it while your in the middle of eating it. This place, on the other hand, is far from that. We found this place while camping at a nearby KOA and have since then traveled over an hour, several times to eat here again. The sushi isn't half bad but the hibachi is why we make the trip! Interior is a bit small and I feel like it could really use a good scrubbing, especially on the walls. There's about 4 sets of tables. The food is made fresh to order and you can watch them cook through a clear glass window where the seating area it. The food was decent, not the best. Portion sizes were fair for the pricing as well. Hubs and I ordered the beef hibachi and a sushi roll, forgot which one, but it was fried and pretty good. The beef in the hibachi was a super thin kind of steak, again not the best but good. Good take out Chinese for a great price. Portions were generous and the staff was very friendly. The sushi is OK--somewhere between the prepackaged stuff you get at a grocery store and what you would get at a sit-down restaurant--but for the price, its excellent. This is my "go to" lunch spot. Spicy Tuna roll, side of fried rice and a can of coke. $8. The sushi is made fresh to order. The fried rice is simple but delicious with corn, egg and cracked pepper. Very nice, small family run place. Great for take out or a quick meal. read more

Yakisoba is not suppose to be as sweet as desert. I took one bite and had to throw it away. Fried rice had no flavor, Who are these people giving them them 4.5 star review? I must admit, the prices were reasonable, however, when you have to through away your entire meal if $13.50 shrimp yakisiba, it is no longer reasonable. So disappointed. I wish I just got some cup ramen noodles from Walmart and saved myself $50. I felt like I got cheep Chinese food in the name of Japanese food. If you know the difference between the two, and still want to give this place a try, don't order yakisoba, unless you like it to taste like really sweet Pad Thai. Also, if you are one of those people who doesn't like all these yum yum sauce all over your sushi and rolls, let them know when ordering, I don't know if really Japanese people drizzle these things all over every thing. I am 100% sure they are not Japanese cooking these meals, more than likely Chinese. There is nothing wrong with that, but when it comes to the quality, I know better. Gave this place a try because of the high ratings on Google and Yelp and I have to say they definitely missed the mark. The salmon was very "fishy" and the chicken was dry. The rice was also very dry and tasted old. The sauces were also almost inedible (nothing yummy about It). The vegetables were mushy and tasted overcooked. Absolutely LOVED this place. It's a fast paced place, small and intimate, and the food is amazing. You can watch what they do when they are cooking your food, and the staff is very professional and friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to get high quality and speedy Japanese food. OH! I ordered the beef, chicken and shrimp. Everything tasted fine but the beef was equivalent to steak-umms and there was literally no shrimp.

Great quick hibachi style food without paying high prices just for the show. Loved the ginger soy sauce and portions were good for the prices. Although not true japanese cooks (i am Japanese and when they spoke, it wasn't japanese) it tasted pretty good and yes, I would come back when in the area again. House salad was only $1; can't beat that. read more

Went to this place with my husband a couple nights ago because of the good reviews on Yelp. The Hibachi was your average Hibachi nothing special and we got the crab rangoon appetizer, which was good. I would much prefer a Hibachi in which I can watch them make the food in front of me. We were able to watch the chef behind the counter make the Hibachi through a window but the window was extremely dirty and greasy. It looked like it had not been cleaned in the last month.The food was average probably will not go back here as I have heard there are better Japanese places in the area. read more

Great little hole in the wall restaurant. No frills and nothing fancy, but the food was excellent! Staff was friendly and attentive, even cleaning while idle. They have great lunch specials from 10:30am to 3pm. Would recommend the Dragon Roll and Tempura Shrimp roll. read more

This place is great! We grab take out from here when we are staying at Great Wolf Lodge. Not only is the food inexpensive, but it's actually pretty delish for a take out spot. The food isn't very salty and they give you heaping portion of broccoli and zucchini. It's much better than Sarku or any of those other chain hibachi places. It's not as good as say a sit down Japanese place, but if you're looking for a quick, inexpensive, semi-healthy bite, this place fits the bill! read more

I didn't particularly like this place. I ordered the beef and chicken combo. Portions were descent I guess, Yum Yum sauce was runny and I felt sick after eating here. My daughter didn't like it either. Compared to what we get from places like this at home, this place was a fail. This place is a hidden gem. It's tucked away in a lower traffic shopping center close to the Super Walmart in Williamsburg. Upon walking in you can tell this is a local mom & pop spot and I quickly noticed the cashier interacting with her customers with casual conversation and updates on each others families. I ordered take out so didn't get to experience the eating area, but it seemed rather small but comfortable. Food was AWESOME! Order a few of the hibachi dishes, yaki soba, and gyozas. All entrees had very large and generous servings, they quickly filled up the family when we got back to the hotel. I'd easily come back when visiting in town again and recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quick bite at a great price. Way better than a burger or other fast food spots. read more

I had two sushi rolls. The price was amazing, but the quality wasn't great: the rolls were mostly rice with very little fish. It seemed like sushi was added as an afterthought to the menu, without the same attention given to the hibachi. "Express" is an adjective that captures this place perfectly. read more

Tokyo Hibachi Express is great! They stay open late and their prices are very reasonable. I am very picky about sushi places, especially ones that are catered more towards carry-out; however, the sushi was fresh, and the hibachi grill is in the open. Thus, you see your meals being prepared. My food was ready under 15 minutes. I've tried their chicken hibachi, veggie hibachi, and a few sashimi/sushi rolls. The sashimi and sushi are fresh, but the portions are small; however, this should be expected from an express sushi bar. The hibachi dishes are large. Both the chicken and the veggies were delicious, and they come with a huge serving of fried rice. I highly recommend this place. It is not the best sushi/hibachi that you'll ever have; however, for an express sushi bar, I definitely think it ranks 5 out of 5. read more
