    Tokyo Auto is a fantastic locally run auto shop in the Waipahu industrial area. Don't let the location steer you away, these boys are professionals, and will ensure your installation gets done the right way, the first time! I had vinyl wrap work and custom deals installed on my domestic sports car. In my case, it did mean extending the time by a day, however, i did not mind, as I understand unforeseen problems, and would rather something done right, than a shop that rushes to complete by cutting corners. Pricing is competitive, and up front. If they can't do it, they will usually recommend a place who does. Thanks again for the awesome service! I'll be back again if I have any other custom design needs!

    Excellent local shop to visit. Specializing in itash graphics, and vinyl wrap. Suspension?!? Heck yeah...springs, coilovers, airbags, arms, bars,.....yes they do it! Aero installs, exhaust, and almost any other kind of auto accessory can be found or ordered here. They also can make your custom die cut decals, and tee-shirts for your club or team! JDM toys galore.....

    Tips: Your best option is to ask questions if you're lost or curious. Parking/Entrance: There are 6 stalls (3 stalls for the store) in front of the door. Don't park on the right side of the garage, that's their neighbor's parking. The main door is blacked out with tint, but don't be fooled. If there are cars, there are people. Parts: You'll basically find an arrangement of parts around the store. Most of them will be for aesthetics, but they do, however, have some performance parts available. If you can't find what you're looking for right away, just ask one of the employees. There are also various universal parts in the store as well. Most special order parts require a 75% deposit before it gets shipped over. Service: This team does go out of their way to find you the part you're looking for as long as it's not unusually rare or they'll at least point you in the right direction if they can't help. You probably won't be able to find people as helpful in getting you want you are looking for. Installations can be done by request with an additional labor cost. If not, they can recommend a shop to go to. Overall: It may be a little further away from the shops set up around kakaako or in town, but I can vouch for their service and competitive pricing. They're tied in with other teams/companies around the island that can help you with other things as well so the key would be to ASK.

    At the end of April 2022, I brought my car to Tokyo Auto on Waipahu for Wrapping after they changed our schedule from mid-April to the end of April. They told us that my car would be done by 1,5 weeks. They said to call us when they finish. 2 weeks later, they didn't call us, so I had to call to check if my car had finished yet! And they said they just did half work, they needed more time and told us when finished, they would call us again( wth). They didn't let us know the exact date! I have to call them back and ask them what exact date my car finished, And they said the next Friday. ( total 3 weeks, not 1.5 weeks). On May 13 2022 I got my car but lacked the badge in the front and back truck. I asked them and they said they bought material to wrap my badge in black so I have to wait more than 3 weeks for their material. I felt a bit confused and pissed but I had no choice. When we came home, I found out that my wrap had a lot of defects. The wrap was peeled off by itself after 1 week, some areas they work very carelessly. I called them to complain and required them to fix their work. They promised they will check and fix them plus give me my badge back when the material comes to their store. After 3 weeks, they didn't call us as they promised, I had to call them to ask for my badge and they said the package still had not arrived, they will call when it comes( this time I felt really shit about this business) keep promising and do nothing. I asked them to give me what date, I can't wait any longer! And they said we can bring my car to their store on Thursday 9 JUNE, they could finish in 1 week! Before going there, I did stick the blue tag on every defect, so they can check it easily! However, after we left, they took off all my blue tags and left my car outside all day until they closed their store. They moved my car inside repeatedly every day. They did nothing to my car! NOTHING. when I came to pick up my car on 17 June and all defects were still there except blue tags removed . PLUS, MY BADGE DID NOT INSTALL BACK. I really feel so frustrated and I have no word for this shit. They have really bad service. They alway make a lot of promises and never focus on their job, they just want to keep your vehicle there and do another vehicle at the same time, until the last day of the project, they start to do your car with their best carelessest. My husband called directly to the boss of Tokyo auto, he asked us to give him only 4 days. He will take off all my old wrap and wrap a new one for me, if not, he will give our money back. I decided this is the last time and brought my car to their store on 22 June. 4 days later, they called us to say that the new material was damaged and could we be willing to wait for new material ?(this is really b...sh..) Of course I have to take my money back and require them to give my car back to normal. The last day, the boss of Tokyo auto admitted that my original badge was broken ( how can He lied about waiting for material to wrap my badge in the beginning), he said he offered a new one at the Tesla store and wait to more 3 weeks to come back and he installed a fake badge temporary for me. Guess! Do you think you can trust them one more time? absolutely NO.. today is the end of July and I tried to call them but they ignored my call and responded to my message on Instagram 1 time that they didn't know when my badge arrived( sound funny) . They completely ignored my badge. I learned a lesson for this shit experience. I just wanna warning if someone is looking information about this business. Please, don't be like me. Don't waste money for a business that never respects their customer. I wasted a lot of time there for nonsense, my car damage, losing my badge, a small scratch on my front truck that was covered by white paint so I did not realize when I picked up my car. Negative star for this business. Remember Tokyo Auto.

    Horrible service. Went from 2 working days to finish the job to 9 working days. Started prioritizing others before me. Kept lying about due dates, that most of the parts were done. I dropped by to see the progress and only 3 pieces out of 18 were done. Next week came by. Tuesday was the next deadline HE told me. Showed up on Wednesday to pickup. Started cursing at me, to just take my f***Ng parts. Started ripping the parts that were done. Asked if I was military to threaten me. Lies and Tells customers different stories.

(review is very late, but started…read morethinking as I saw ads for them on Facebook regularly, people need to be aware of their practice) apparently they didn't tighten the steering knuckle lower 2 bolts on my Tacoma, clearly before I left I saw a thread sticking out on the lower control arm bolts, didn't say anything as I'd thought they'd honor their work, and thought they possibly even messed up the threads on that bolt that was loose which is why it didn't go all the way in, (as a mechanic I'm not going to touch something I'm afraid will break which would turn to my fault, liability is pretty important in the automotive service industry) they reassured me before I left that everything was perfect even though the skid plate wasn't installed as well until I said something, then within less than 6000 miles down the road and within less than a 6 month period, lower control arm came loose and went straight to the floor, took it back to them with a tow truck and they charged me for the labor to replace a lifetime warranty part from rough country as well as a CV axle that got damage due to collateral damage from the bolt coming loose. Clearly they didn't tighten the bolt with their response as "we loctite everything" well loctite only goes a long way when the bolt is torqued with a torqued wrench. A real shop would've comp everything and own up to their mistake and repair it for free due to technician negligence. But that didn't happen, rather just down another couple hundred dollars, around $800-1,000 to fix their mistake. But I mean the lifetime part was free which was great, one company at least honored something. Never coming back here again, neither will ever be involved with this shop ever again. Still have my receipt and can easily warranty stuff yourself on rough country website. Wasn't going to argue with these guys in person as they're pretty intimidated and aggressive when you put them on the spot. So it's easier to result in online reviews and let people know their practice as they're also firm with whatever they say with no room for talk or solution unless I'm guessing legal action is taken or a harsh review is made. They honestly just hungry for money, made the victim an even bigger one.

I was able to schedule an appointment fast and easy, and the second I walked in, Jeremiah and his team treated me like I was a good friend. Everyone was so professional and friendly, and he took his time to explain to me each option in detail, and the pros and cons of each package. He also helped me choose exactly how dark I wanted my tint to be, making suggestions when I was unsure. I ended up picking their premium option and I couldn't be happier. Before, getting into my car after a long day at work felt like I was getting into a sauna running at full blast, and driving on sunny days made me feel like I was cooking alive in my car (the UV protection is also a godsend--I'm very pale and burn so easily), even with the AC blasting. Now, it's so much cooler getting in, and it also cools down MUCH faster as well, making summer driving way more bearable. The appointment didn't even take long at all. I dropped my car off, went out for brunch nearby, and it was done right as I was finishing up my meal, and I am NOT a slow eater. When I picked up my car, Jeremiah explained the aftercare process to me very simply and concisely, which was very easy to follow, and I was provided an aftercare package! While I will admit it was a little pricer compared to other businesses when I was shopping around (and I DID get the most expensive option, so I'm sure even if you're on a budget, the cheaper options are just as good), with the level of care and effort the team put in, as well as the lifetime warranty that's included, I'd say it was well worth the price. I'm so happy with my tint and would highly recommend Hi Tint to anyone that's looking for great quality and care! Whenever I come around to getting another car in the far future, I'm absolutely coming right back here to get that car's windows tinted as well!!

The ceramic tint I had installed in my home is really good. It supposedly blocks out 80% of heat and when I stood by my window, it surely felt like it was doing its job. I would highly recommend HI Tint.

I knew I had to let the car insurance company find a partner local body shop to take care of the damage. Yelp came in clutch when I was on the phone with the insurance claims agent working with the at-fault party (fortunately, both of us had USAA auto insurance). I quickly yelped body shops in the Waipahu/Ewa/Kapolei area, and Westside Fender easily beat the other shops in overall rating. FIRST CONTACT WITH WESTSIDE FENDER: Just minutes after the insurance claims agent/adjuster arranged with Westside Fender, Chelsey called me to set up my appraisal appointment. The appointment was to determine how much the at-fault's deductible would pay for damages, availability of parts, and to schedule repairs and rental car with their partner, Enterprise in Waipahu too. Almost immediately after our phone call, Chelsey sent me an email detailing the appraisal appointment. APPRAISAL APPOINTMENT: I stopped by Westside Fender during my lunch break. The appointment barely took five minutes and I was able to schedule the repair for the following week. They assured me I wouldn't have to pay a single cent based on the fact that I had no fault (USAA's decision, too). REPAIRS: I dropped off my car at the schedule time and date. The technician said the repair process would take a week and a half. Only a week later, Chelsey called me to say my car bumper was fixed! After dropping off my rental at Enterprise and after their shuttle dropped me off at Westside Fender, Chelsey quickly went over the itemized list of repairs and costs to be paid by the at-fault party's deductible. Chelsey then went offsite to pick up my car and drive it back. Not only did my car bumper look as good as new, but Westside Fender actually washed my car and tires too! Now that's exceptional customer service! Not that I wish anyone in Waipahu or Ewa to get into a minor collision, but if you're short on time and need to quickly find a body shop near home, don't look further than Westside Fender! The shop has won many awards and had lasted over 40 years for a reason. Thank you, Westside Fender!
