I stayed here with family for 5 nights at the beginning of September. This place is right off highway 395 but even though it was so close to the road, it was not loud at all. The room was comfortable with a queen & a twin size bed. The whole place was quaint but had enough room to be comfortable. great customer care here and as a guest I was able to see the value the staff put on the guests that stay here. I would recommend this place to other people I know that may like to stay in this area and would definitely stay here again!

First of all I want to thank Sam and Linda for great hosts !!The rooms were very clean and rates were very reasonable ! Wifi Yes it worked great !! It also has fish cleaning station which we used ! We'll be back for sure ! Sam thank you again for some hot fishing spots !!

Quaint woodsy decor, comfy clean bed.

Super nice room. Family road trip needed 3 rooms and it was affordable to do so vs sharing rooms. Reasonable rate, super nice service, clean & comfy! Love supporting small businesses and so glad we pulled over! This place is right off HWY 395. Would stay here again if ever in the area. Pulled up to our room, unloaded suitcases and fell fast asleep. Definitely recommend this cute motel!

It's good motel on Hwy 395. Nothing special outside but room inside looks fantastic. Everything is clean, hot water in tub, good price. I will stay there next time.

Have been here twice already and will keep coming back. Great shower, clean room. Rustic look is very cozy and well done. Mini-fridge, complimentary coffee. Cozy outdoor garden/relaxation area (trees to create shade). Apparently great for fishermen too (place to clean out the guts, bbq etc.). Sam and his wife are super friendly and accommodating. The two restaurants in the area (the BBQ place and Walker Burger aren't open very late, so plan your meals accordingly if you're travel from afar). The breakfast place right nextdoor is family-run, reasonably priced, and will leave your tummy satisfied.

The Halloween decorations at the office were adorably festive and Steve (who I unfortunately didn't meet in person but spoke with on the phone) is a funny, kind, patient guy. The area itself is just stunning and I regretted not booking more than one night but the one night we did stay was peaceful and quiet. My dog and I felt very safe. An interesting place. You make reservations through one of the Internet booking sites, such as…read moreHotels.com or Booking.com, or you can also book with them through Airbnb. You never actually talk to somebody, they communicate via either text message or email. It's an old 1940s Motor court that has been totally renovated. They texted me the code of my security lock to get into the room. Overall, the room was small, but nice. Everything was very clean, including the bathroom. The shower does take a little bit of time for the hot water to kick in, but it was plenty warm. The room had both a microwave and a fridge. The only light in the room is provided by two lamps, one next to each bed, but they do provide enough light. My TV did not have a remote. I didn't try to text them about the remote, as I had two iPads, and I was fine. The Wi-Fi is fast enough to stream video. There was a plug with several USB ports, so that I could charge my gear. In the morning, checkout was 10 AM, I texted them for an 11 AM check out, and they texted back immediately saying no problem at all. As for food, Walker burger is just down the highway to the north, and the motel is right across the street from the Mountain View barbecue. The barbecue is cash only, but they do have an ATM. Both places have excellent food. The Walker Country Store, just a little bit farther to the north, has gas, groceries, and a small deli. There were a few minor things. The thermostat does not work, so heat is provided by a small electric radiator, but the only place you can plug it in is in one corner of the room. I slept in the bed right next to the radiator, so I stayed warm. The bed was a little bit firm for my personal taste, but overall I slept well. Also, there is no desk or table to either eat at, or work on a laptop if you need to. Overall, it was a nice stay. I would stay here again. Thank you.

So this review had to wait until I could know I wasn't going back very soon. I stayed here for roughly about 3 months straight. It's a nice little family owned motel. It's definitely not the weekly motel vibe that you might get on 4th street in Reno. But a "small town" motel vibe that you might have gotten back in the heyday of motels in new interstates before freeways. There is nothing fancy about Main Street Inn, but if you are in Yerington for more than a potty break, you probably should already understand that there is nothing really fancy about Yerington. This is a town of friendly real people. Not fake city people that plaster on that smile because of some creepy corporate guideline. The town is probably the most welcoming town in all of rural Nevada for me. The office is populated by a bunch of locals filling in the hours. So there may be small spot of time you wont have anyone at the front desk. This is really a mom and pop business. The room I was in for most of my time in town was just right for my needs. Each room has it's own character it seems. Mine had lots of drawers to keep stuff in as well. All of the staff, including the owner was always pleasant and as helpful as possible when I interacted with them. If I could get this good of service at the high end hotels I stay at on vacation, I might never come home! The only real negatives that I can think of are that they don't have great parking for larger vehicles. So that might be a consideration if you have a large vehicle it could be a tiny walk from where you have to park your car. All of the businesses are within walking distance of the Inn as well. I highly recommend Dini's Coffee Shop.

Pulled into town early and they happily accommodated our request so we could reorganize and repack the car for the next leg of our trip. The rooms are CLEAN! I mean, wow. Smells lovely, the baseboards were clean, bedding smelled clean, bathtub was clean, behind the toilet clean. I mean, we travel a LOT. And those are areas that typically get missed. The corners of the room, the corners of the cushions on the furniture-- typically there's build up. Not here! Generous size room. We got a King suite. It's literally a small apartment. Fridge, microwave, couch, chair, coffee table, desk, entertainment center, tv and lamps in the front room. A nice butlers pantry for coffee, fully stocked with all coffee fixings, ice bucket and a counter for making sandwiches. A closet, with dressing bench leads to the small separated bathroom. The primary bedroom is very spacious with full dresser, king size bed and two end tables. Fully floored with luxury vinyl plank it's easy to tell when barefoot and your feet stay clean... that they take pride in ownership for the weary travelers. The ceilings bely the age of the building, but get over it. It's truly a sparkling place to stay and I'd be very proud to call these people (the employees) family, if I owned the place. They're kind, attentive and very informative! We will definitely stay again. And hopefully the restaurant gets an upgrade. If not, the lodge is the highlight of the town and worth a stop every time. Value for money= excellent. Worth the drive to stay rather than stop in Reno? 1,000% Enjoyable experience? You bet. Quiet. Thank you all! We will return.
