Ive frequented this Togo's location for years due to their consistent daily deal value and the great staff. I've tried 4 different subs here and all are pretty good. The bread is always fresh and the toppings are normally high quality. I've had bad tomatoes before but that's typical at most sandwich shops. I usually go on Monday for the Hot Pastrami daily deal or Wednesday for the Italian daily deal. Some visits the Pastrami is fattier and wish they would trim it a little better. Otherwise always an excellent meal. Open well-lit seating with a patio option away from direct sunlight. Grace is the manager and she is amazing- friendly, attentive to detail, and an inspiring leader for her staff. She always greets me (and all patrons) with a genuine smile and a friendly hello. I can tell she really enjoys her job and handles her responsibilities to the fullest. One of the best sandwich places in the valley and it's walking distance from my home! How cool is that? Answer: VERY cool. Jordyn and Mercedes offered wonderful advice around getting protein without conventional meat. The solution was tuna melt with lettuce, tomato, pickle and onions! I also picked up from the fountain a Sprite orange drink, even though I had never heard that flavor, It tasted delicious. I started eating at togos about 20 years ago when I was working in the car business in Tempe I always loved there food I left AZ. In 2009 to the mid west and then to North Carolina and returned to Phoenix and now live in the West Valley but since I returned six years ago and the end of covid I make the drive at least twice a year to get a sandwich and if I have a visitor or a friend's in town its one of my go to spots. As always it never disappoints so I am ready to make the trek and go east,my pallet is way ready so see ya real soon. read more

Most places would get five stars for the food alone and Togo's is one of those places, but there's something extra special here and that is the manager Grace. I went in tonight to grab dinner and there was an issue, but Grace stepped in to fix it. She called me to resolve the issue and since I was turning in the parking lot we talked face to face. She went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of. She cared about my experience as a customer and I cannot express how much I appreciated her for that. Sometimes restaurants care more about the food than the customer, but you can see and feel that Grace and her team care about both the food and customer. The pastrami sandwiches here are soooo good. The bread is fresh and super soft. Lots of meat that did not disappoint. The staff was super friendly and they prepared our food quickly. Togo's stuffs their sandwiches with meat and mine was no exception. The bread has always been fresh and the veggies as well. The meat, heated to order, has always been hot, savory and well seasoned. Grace is amazing! It's obvious she loves her job and that made me enjoy my visit. She greeted us with smiles and friendly banter. She made it really fun! My husband is a tribe member which offers points for discounts. I made a special trip out to the only Togos in Arizona when I was passing through the area. Good sandwiches, but its been a long time since I was at a Togos because I don't remember the sandwiches being $12-$14 (large). I got a couple to-go but they weren't wrapped properly or secured because as soon as I tried to take one out of the bag, it fell out of the wrapping and spilled all over the bottom of the bag. I have been frequenting this Togo's for YEARS. I grew up on Togo's in SoCal in the 80s & 90s. And I am incredibly happy that this Togo's remains here in AZ. Their pastrami is top notch, right next to New York pastrami. The staff is always really wonderful. Today I came in after work... to bring sandwiches home to my family & I encountered the sweetest, loveliest young ladies! Allie & Jordyn. They were so sweet, personable, gracious & very genuine. Tried this for the first time today at lunch. I got a cold turkey and cheddar on Parmesan bread with lettuce, pickles, Mayo and oil and vinegar. The bread seemed dry to me. It also seemed super thick for the meat ratio on the sandwich. Even with extra Mayo, oil and vinegar I felt it was dry. It wasn't overly flavorful either. I may give another sandwich a try with hopes the bread isn't as dry or the sandwich as a whole. read more

I am fortunate enough to live in California, where there are TOGO'S everywhere. I first went to TOGO'S in 1971, after serving in VietNam @ the original location, in San Jose, CA. The whole building was an old house, maybe 400 sq. ft. It's nice to find a TOGO'S in Arizona now. We just had a mini reunion at this store (myself & wife from CA, my daughter from NC, & an old friend from MN). I ordered a Pastrami sandwich & chips from this store on Friday, June 9th. I spoke to Joy on the phone and I explained to her that I was handicapped and unable to come into the store to pick up my sandwich. I asked if she would be able to bring it out to me. She immediately said yes and was so caring of my situation. She asked for my car make and color and asked me to try to park in front of the umbrellas so she could see me when I arrived. As soon as I pulled up, she came out to get my card, to pay for the order and said she was just finishing the sandwich up so she would be back in a minute. She came back out quickly and handed me my card, receipt and my sandwich & chips. Joy was so cheerful and such a delight! She truly lives up to her name. Excellent employee! I love patronizing small, family owned businesses like this Togo's. You find father/ daughter, mother/ son all trying to make it fun. They ask sincere questions and you get to know them as a person who wants your repeat business. That's what I found both here, and at Togo's in Scottsdale -- friendly employees, and owners. Most sub places have a rule of limiting the amount of cold cuts, or processed meat, to either three or four ounces for their medium and large sandwiches. At Quiznos, you can actually watch them add or subtract based upon what the scale is weighing. It's a real turnoff. My rule of thumb -- always look for the bartender who is a generous pour! But Togo's employees just grab the tongs the amount that feels right, all the while continuing their conversation with you. Wow, what a novel concept. Real people, real conservations. Mind you, I don't go out to lunch expecting to make friends, or influence people LOL. But it's better than finding someone who's just killing time between classes and would prefer being anywhere else. Now PRICES for these sandwich shops are going up, Togo is no exception. But their prices seem more reasonable when compared to Firehouse, or Which Wich. Expect to pay $10-$12 for a large 9" Sub and a drink; which is $3 less than the other two places mentioned above. I tried Togo's for the first time today. Ah-Ma-Zing! We just recently moved into a new office space just north of here on McQueen, so I was excited to check out a new place. I checked the online menu ahead of time, so I'd have some idea what to order before arriving. Grace waited on me and she was so sweet and super friendly! Asking how my weekend was, if this was my first time, making sure my order was exactly to my liking, etc. Excellent customer service! I had the turkey bistro on the pretzel roll. Oh, my goodness! It was so good. I eat lunch early since my work day starts at 6:00 am. I ate at 10:30 am. It's now almost 5:00 pm and I am still full! I didn't even touch my chips. This was a round sandwich. Can't imagine how filling a sub would be. I took menus back to my other coworkers and highly recommended this place to each of them. I will definitely be back. I went to togos a couple days ago and I have to say Grace is the best manager a restaurant could ever have. She is kind, generous, and caring. I ordered a 6in pastrami sandwich togos style is it was amazing. It was very flavourful and had a very generous amount of meat in it which gave it an amazing ratio of bread to meat. The price for a meal wasn't too bad compared to the quality, taste, and over all environment. The place was well kept and I can't wait to come again.
