Sides came as soon as we sat down, and they were super quick to refill them as well. The kimchi was super fresh and tasty. I like how they offer hot tea too The seafood soup came piping hot and was super delicious. Very thick and hearty. The best tofu soup I've had in the IE for sure.

Went in around 11:32 AM and the place was already 75% full. Anyone coming in after 11:35 had to wait, and there were only two people serving the entire restaurant. Ordering is done through a digital tablet, which was actually pretty convenient, but the food still took about 30 minutes to come out. The banchan felt more catered toward American tastes than traditional Korean flavors. The kimchi and cucumber especially were sweeter than it should be. I ordered the extra spicy soon dubu, but honestly think it's more like medium spicy compared to most Korean spots in Ktown or Rowland Heights. Look at the image of the soup in my review, you'll be able to tell. However, the bigger issue for me was the broth itself. It tasted diluted and lacked the umami depth you expect from a good soon dubu. The color was there, but the body and richness weren't. The galbi was decent and probably the highlight of the meal. Flavor was good overall, though slightly on the sweeter side. What surprised me was that it came out on a hot plate that wasn't even sizzling, which kind of takes away from the experience. Overall, I'd say they're slightly better than BCD in ktown, but definitely not the best soon dubu I've had in SoCal. Giving it 3/5 mainly because the galbi saved the meal.

This is my favorite spot in the area for tofu soup! The food is delicious and comforting, and I also love the variety of banchan that comes with the meal. It can get pretty busy during peak lunch and dinner hours now, but if you go a little earlier or later, you'll be seated quickly and the food comes out fast. The service is quick and the interior is clean and modern. If you're craving tofu soup, bulgogi, or any other Korean dish, this place is a must-visit!

Came here with some friends to split some galbijjim and soondubu. It was deliciousssss. The meat on the galbijim is so tender. I would have liked the cheese to have been torched a bit but it's cool. Prices are fairly reasonable. You can order on the tablet for convenience. Will definitely need to come back and try the crab. Service is nothing to write home about but they're friendly. The restaurant itself is small so come early if you can!

This place is a recommended area for Tofu House hunt in Ontario. Place is quite small, but the turnover is quite high quick. We came in during lunch on Sunday. The wait not bad as we were number 3 and waited about 10 minutes. Once seated we were straight ordering through installed tablet to order by ourselves. Ban Chan was served quick and soon after the hot plate and last was the tofu soup (served with raw egg). The only thing I noticed if the bulgogi's hot plate has so much oil at the bottom which I didn't see at other Korean's resto. All staffs were great, friendly and work efficiently.

You know how it's like when you're hungry and you're on a mission? When you check Yelp and all the restaurant listings start calling your name? We made our way over to Tofu Chon in Ontario because the photos were making us drool. The place felt immediately authentic: Korean staff hustling between tables, cozy close-quarter seating, conversations bouncing around the room. Clean, simple, no nonsense. We slipped in right before the rush... which turned out to be a very good life decision because ten minutes later the place was packed! The banchan came out first. All those delectable pickled and petite-sized plates, perfect for ravenous parents and their hungry offspring. Ethan scarfed down the fish cakes like candy. They also had little menu screens at the table which were genius. Tap, order, food appears. Efficient, modern, slightly dangerous when you're already hungry. Soooooo then the soon beef soup arrived. Y'all...Y'ALL. This was not the polite little soondubu soup I thought I knew. This was a bubbling clay pot of flavor...a soulful beefy broth with some silky tofu and freshly-cracked yokey egg. I took one bite and stared at Jordan like, What IS this magic? Yes, my eyes rolled back. It had layers. Depth. Magic in a freakin bowl. Meanwhile Jordan ordered a heaping pile of some ridiculously tender, smoky ribs that disappeared faster than my daughter's patience waiting for the rice to cool. And speaking of rice, Lea ate bowl after heaping bowl of the perfectly-cooked stuff with a little bit of beef, a little bit of fish, a little bit of satisfaction smeared all over her face. Then there was the fried yellow croaker. The first bite basically short-circuited my brain. Crispy, delicate, salty. I couldn't stop stuffing my face. I loved it so much we ordered three more...just for me. If you're mathing that correctly-- I literally ate FOUR FISH. FOUR!!! I never looked back. No regrets. My only complaint? I ran out of stomach before I ran out of curiosity. There were so many things on that menu I wanted to try, but my belly was waving a tiny white flag. Homestyle Korean cooking, a packed table of happy eaters, and a soup that rewired my expectations. Holy soup gods. That was biblical meal!

Overall: incredible place! Little hole in the wall in a strip mall, but man does this place have big flavors and great staff! Pros: - side dishes are great - rice comes with your dishes, purple rice was good! - get to order from your table on a tablet - staff is attentive and very quick - food comes out really fast Cons: - very expensive, especially for the amount of galbi you get. The meat portions are very small. Although it's expensive, it is worth the try! I would come back every once in a while. You can definitely pay less for AYCE KBBQ.

Best soondubu I've ever had. This establishment seems to have a primary offering of a tofu soup and protein (galbi, bulgogi, etc) however I only ordered the soondubu. The flavor is so deep and layered, with a generous serving of tofu and the mix of your choice (beef, seafood, intestine, etc). The banchan is equally generous and delicious. Upon seating you are given an option of hot tea or water. Food is ordered on a tablet, with quick and friendly service delivering it to your table. A must-stop anytime I find myself in Ontario.

katsu, spicy pork, and kalbi short ribs! Yum!

This is probably the best and my favorite Korean restaurant in the area. ATMOSPHERE: Typical small Korean restaurant that is clean with tablets to order at each table. Each table seats maybe 4 people? It is a small restaurant, so not ideal for large groups. Don't be that party that has a huge group there, or you'll probably get the side eye from the other parties. FOOD: This is a Korean tofu house, so it has your typical entrees. I personally love their kalbi short rib, katsu with cheese (their dipping sauce is absolute heaven), and their spicy squid. The banchan was good, but it was limited items (like 4-5?). It was pretty basic, but still did the job. The price was reasonably average. SERVICE: Quick and easy. You do order on the tablet, which can be a pro or a con. The workers are pretty fast and quick at their job. Food arrived out in a timely manner. PARKING: Free and easy in a large parking lot shared with Dollar Tree. Don't worry, you won't be hussling and tussling over prime real estate parking spot. TDLR- Good Korean food in a small restaurant. Not ideal for large groups. Would I come back? Duh, obvi-- yes. Turn Ons: - Good Korean food in the area-- probably the best IMO - Easy parking - Fast service Turn OFFs: - it's a small restaurant, so not ideal for large gathering/groups

HANDS DOWN WONDERFUL! Stopped in for some lunch as a first time customer. This place had me feeling the "love at first sight" - food edition drama. There was so much to love about this place aside from the food alone. It is obvious that the owners and workers care about this restaurant, because the inside is clean, tidy, organized, and welcoming. Moreover, prompt friendly service was given to although there is a self-serve order system at each table. After ordering, the food was out in less than 10 minutes along with all the sides - something similar to what you'd find when dining at a KBBQ restaurant. It was not only the main dish that stole my heart, but also all the sides as they were fresh and plentiful. I could come here to dine on the sides alone and be absolutely satisfied. Everything was just that good!!! This is my new Korean restaurant go to! I can't wait to go again!

Don't let the strip mall location fool you Tofu Chon is a hidden gem in Ontario. From the outside it's nothing special, but inside it's spotless and the service is quick and efficient. I loved the touch screen ordering right at the table and is super easy and convenient. They serve all the classic side dishes, and the fact that side fixings is all-you-can-eat is a huge plus. Portions are generous and perfect for sharing, and everything is very reasonably priced. This was my second visit and it definitely didn't disappoint. I'll be back again.

Combo bulgogi versus full size bulgogi
    Randa J.

Second time here and it did not disappoint. Ordered 2 full size seafood tofu, one full size bulgogi and one tofu bulgogi combo to feed 4 adults and two kids which was the perfect amount of food and everything was delicious including all the side dishes (kimchi, cucumbers, spinach, bean sprouts, fish cake) and ended up being $100 plus $20 tip. The servers were bussing hard, pleasant and quick with each request. They also offer complimentary hot tea if you ask. Hope they open more locations with more seating so we could bring larger parties to enjoy their delicious offerings.

Super fresh banchan and an authentic tofu house feel. So glad I don't have to worry about driving to Rowland Heights or Koreatown for good Korean food!

It was organized, safe, and still such a great experience. We have been coming back ever since. If you're wondering what keeps me coming back... First, the service is incredible. There is an older gentleman with salt and pepper hair who is always so professional and kind. He carries himself with such calm confidence and respect. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming, but he truly stands out every single time. Second, the OPTIONS. The spread here is amazing. From sauces to fresh vegetables, noodles, seafood, fruit, and dessert, there is something for everyone. And can we talk about the watermelon? For some reason, it is always perfectly sweet. Every single time. I am a huge shrimp lover, so being able to make my own shrimp in the hot pot is a dream. Fresh, flavorful, and cooked exactly how I like it. It is such a fun experience. Pro tip: Here is the sauce combo I put together and it is chef's kiss. In a bowl add jalapeños, cucumbers, hot chili, chili oil, sesame oil, and ponzu sauce. Then top it with fresh cilantro. It is so fresh, spicy, tangy, and delicious. You will thank me later. If you are looking for a place that is comfortable, not overwhelmingly crowded, and consistently delivers great food and service, this is the place to go. We have been loyal ever since we found it, and it never disappoints.

We went around lunchtime, so it wasn't too busy. We were seated right away. The food at the bar was fresh. The paper they give you to self order your appetizers, drinks, meats, and dessert (ice cream) is really convenient. They give a good amount of meat portions per person. And you have up to 3 rounds to order meat. The food from the bar is unlimited. They have everything from sauces, to more appetizers or small foods, a variety of vegetables, rice, noodles, seafood, and fruits. Service was great. Our server checked up on us from time to time for drink refills, to clean up our table, and to get our paper for more food orders. Such a chill ambiance here. It's a large restaurant, so even if it gets loud, you're not talking over each other during dinner. It's very spacious, so when you're up to get your food you're not bumping into people. This was my boyfriend's first time here and he really enjoyed himself. I'm glad I took him here. This is definitely a place worth checking out if you're craving hotpot.

There is a limited selection of noodle soups ranging from tonkotsu to Taiwanese beef noodle soup to even beef pho! By the time I arrived to the terminal, most of the popular options were sold out, so I opted to get the Japanese shoyu ramen. The broth was well-seasoned, noodles al dente, and pork slices perfectly tender. It came with naruto, corn, woodear mushroom, and bamboo shoots. The kiosk has some sort of steaming function that heats the bowl of soup to scalding temperatures within 45 seconds - my hand was burning from how hot the bowl was, to the point where one of the employees offered to grab paper towels as a makeshift trivet. My only qualm is that there were no utensils/chopsticks/soup spoons! I'd definitely return the next time I'm at ONT!

My favorite has been the Taiwanese beef noodle soup. My second favorite is the Pork Chatsu. After you get the dispensed bowl, do not forget to grab a box of utensils that's available right below the bowl dispenser. Before opening the lid, I usually stick the chopstick in the middle and swir around few times to keep the tempearature even.
